Thought I would start a thread as can't see one already
Anyone in the same boat who'd like to chat?
It's our first round. Likely to need a freeze all which I'm quite disappointed about as means won't even transfer until Nov.
I'm on short protocol.
Feeling pretty fed up ATM tbh, partly because it's come to this but also just want to get going, currently just waiting for my period early sept and feels like my life is on hold until then!

@pastelheart we have had a lazy day today made some cookies that’s about it, but we are going out for breakfast tomorrow and to the cinema so that will be nice.
it’s so hard when people question what you’re doing isn’t it.
we have violent children in work I’m always straight in there willing to take the hit but the male TA I work with who doesn’t know was getting very suspicious and said in the end ‘shout me if you feel uncomfortable’ the girls think he just thinks I’m scared of one particular new little boy… he’s 4 😂

We have gone out out to celebrate egg collection being over having loads of electrolytes and maybe 1/2 wines my Dr said it's good to enhance relaxation, but dead against caffeine....strange 🤣

@camelinastorm 15 is a great result, keeping everything crossed for a good fertilisation rate tomorrow! Good on you getting out after EC, you deserve a bit of downtime in between.

10 of my eggs have fertilised which I’m really chuffed with, by this point in my son’s round I was at 4. The clinic weren’t going to call me again until Wednesday, which is day 5 but I’ve asked if they can call me Monday too as my anxiety just can’t deal!! I know it doesn’t change anything but the unknown is a killer.

Nothing like a bit of soft play Saturdays for post egg collection recovery 😵‍💫 he’s at such a rough and tumble age and having drop to the floor tantrums in shops etc which is tough when you’re trying to take it easy but just need to remember that if they’re gonna stick, they’re gonna stick. Not that I’m at that stage yet but just thinking back to my chemical from the FET in July. I feel guilty that this one won’t get the same relaxing conditions as their brother got but babies stick in a lot more trying circumstances than mine. The guilt is real though!

Morning everyone! I have my transfer scheduled for 11am this morning. Would the clinic ring me either way or just if it’s not going ahead? The nerves are real this morning!

@Backtotheicsiyeah so hard isn’t it as in TWW got to treat it like you are pregnant… like I look pregnant anyway as I’m so bloated luckily it’s colder now so my winter jumpers have come out. lol at him thinking you are scared of the 4 year old, you should milk that for a while!

@babycoconut congrats that’s an amazing number. I also asked for a day 3 update and they were fine with giving me that 5 days is too long to wait!

@firststeps124 l also stressed about this, I ended up calling them the morning of to double check everything x

I don’t think they ring you in advance unless something untoward happens in the meantime, no news is good news. If a frozen transfer they usually do ring to confirm it’s thawing ok. Otherwise they’ll just see you there! Good luck!

Thanks everyone. They rung about a hour ago to say I had one ready for transfer today and they will
monitor the remaining two until tomorrow to see if they are viable.

We got 13 fertilised now the waiting game until day 5 as we don't get any updates until then

@pastelheartit was fine thank you! Especially compared to egg retrieval! They have told us to test on 3rd oct. Hope you’re feeling ok xx

I have one to transfer phew!!! It’s a drop from 4 good quality embryos on day 3. IVF is bloody ruthless!!!! They said I have another 2 that are at the stage before blastocyst and they will culture until tomorrow. I’ve no hope for them though as I’ve been in this position so many times before.

Glad to see so much positive news around transfers and embryo development :)
We're lagging a little bit behind most of you and it's our day 10 scan tomorrow, which will hopefully mean egg collection on Thursday.
We did have a day 8 scan yesterday and were told there was lots of follicles developing so hopefully in a good position, but they weren't quite ready yet so keeping everything crossed they have grown nicely by tomorrow!

@firststeps124 glad it went well. Yeah I am all good thank you, 5dp5dt today, nothing much to report apart from the usual. Cramps, backache, starving hungry lol

Yep ❤️ it’s later on today so I’m hoping some of the slower embabies make it to blast by the time I get to the clinic, doubt it though xx

Hi @boberto88 its horrible when the numbers drop down but great that you had something to transfer.

I’ve had some very minor bleeding (8-9dpt) so have gone into a rabbit hole of thinking that it’s not worked 🙄 I hate this so much!

Just catching up on here and really hoping for lots of positives after everyone's transfers. Good luck to everyone still awaiting egg collection/news about embryos

I've had a pretty awful few days with horrendous nausea, extreme exhaustion and (tmi) constipation. I'm pretty sure I've had mild ohss and can't imagine what full on ohss is like as this has been horrific. It's made me switch from disappointment we are having a freeze all to feeling glad we are as my body really isn't in a good place!

However I am absolutely over the moon, because we found out today we have 6 embryos frozen!! I never in my wildest dreams expected that number, really can't believe it. I remember our world shattering in February when we were told about the DNA fragmentation and low chance of IVF success. I know we aren't out the woods yet but feel so grateful for multiple throws of the dice and feel so glad to feel like we can breathe again.

I had my transfer today and got told we also have one in the freezer. They told us that when we arrived at the clinic. There’s another one which is an early blast at the minute so hopefully that one will make it too.
this has been our best round so far. Everything crossed for us all xx

@boberto88 thank you, got 7 more days til test day! I am feeling strong about waiting, and for me I feel quite chilled 😎 yay for one in the freezer and hopefully your early blast makes it too. I’m glad transfer went well too.

@Klmno sorry you have been feeling so poorly but like you say at least now doing a freeze all has a very valid reason 🩷 amazing news on your embryos! Are you planning on PGTA testing any of them? You can deffo breath again now. When do you think your first FET will be?

@YourTipsyDoghow many DPT are you today? Bleeding isn’t always bad so don’t loose hope
