Thought I would start a thread as can't see one already
Anyone in the same boat who'd like to chat?
It's our first round. Likely to need a freeze all which I'm quite disappointed about as means won't even transfer until Nov.
I'm on short protocol.
Feeling pretty fed up ATM tbh, partly because it's come to this but also just want to get going, currently just waiting for my period early sept and feels like my life is on hold until then!

@pastelheart no they didn't really say much more just we will see, I'm just hoping it levels out and stays the same
I have 2 more days of stims so hoping folicles grow and lining doesn't 🤣

boberto88 · 17/09/2025 16:23

Thank you lovely ladies ❤️
im just extra stressed because it’s my 5th and last go. I really can’t see it working.
fingers crossed for us all xx

Klmno · 17/09/2025 16:27

@boberto88 honesty I think that's still a really good number! From the many many hours I have spent trawling Mumsnet there are sooooo many stories of similar numbers of eggs resulting in good numbers of blasts. I will cross everything for you for good fertilisation rate. Do you have any known male factor issues? As that is important too. I'm expecting not a huge proportion of ours to fertilise because we know my partner has DNA fragmentation and there's not much that can be used to overcome it (we are using something called Zymot to try and help but there's not tonnes of evidence for it).

@camelinastorm I always thought thick lining was good too?! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@pastelheart glad the fluid cleared up and you managed to have your transfer...how are you feeling?!

@babycoconut the numbers sound good and if they are similar to when you had your son that must be reassuring 😀

camelinastorm · 17/09/2025 16:28

@boberto88 my last round 90% made it to blasts you may have lower amounts but they all may be good

Backtotheicsi · 17/09/2025 16:32

So happy to hear the ladies who were having egg collections went ahead and lovely eggs were found! Fingers crossed for fertilisation tomorrow!

congrats on the transfer @pastelheart

fingers crossed for everyone’s journey!

Yeh he does. Our fertilisation rate has been shit on all previous rounds. Might be my egg quality, not too sure. We are using zymot and aoa this time so hopefully it helps!
in with Manchester fertility aswell. They are lovely aren’t they xx

Klmno · 17/09/2025 16:39

Even though there's not much robust evidence zymot may be just what you need. I think the lack of evidence is down partly to it being so new. But I've gone on lots of forums where people rave about it improving their numbers! Really hope that's the case for you. Yes they are really lovely there aren't they xx

You two lovely. Really hope it works for us all. Absolute shit show that we find ourselves in this position but it will only make us stronger!
thank you all. I’ve been in tears all morning and you lovely lot have calmed me down and cheered me up ❤️❤️ thank you xxx

YourTipsyDog · 17/09/2025 16:58

@Happyclappy22 Famous last words, it seems…I had a very very tiny amount of blood last night and then I’ve had some minor cramping today. As we all know, both can be good or bad signs so the wondering continues…

Backtotheicsi · 17/09/2025 19:54

So far a bfp for us! I hope that’s ok to say I’ve gone back and forth on saying all day as trying to think how I would feel but I’m hoping it will give people hope! We had awful attrition and had to come in for a transfer they weren’t even sure would go ahead until the time we got there as they were ‘borderline’ quality. And now we have a bfp and a frozen blast! Here’s hoping for a sticky baby and lots more bfps for the group!

pastelheart · 17/09/2025 20:27

@babycoconut thank you! Feeling a bit crampy now but it’s not painful just uncomfortable. ChatGPT has been exhausted today… but it’s always good to know the embryo can’t fall out when you wee! Amazing news on your follicles!

@camelinastorm fingers crossed for only follicle growth 🩷

@Klmno thank you! I couldn’t get my hopes up at all as up until I was in theatre I didn’t know if the transfer would be going ahead but it was really lovely. The nurses, consultant and embryologist made it special and I’m so glad my partner was there too as obvs they can’t be there for all the procedures so yeah, was lovely 🩷 feeling good atm, a little bit crampy but I think it’s passing now. And the lubion I am on makes my tummy feel all bruises so that doesn’t help

@Backtotheicsi thank you! I’m so pleased and still can’t believe it 🩷 oh my god! Yayyyyy congratulations. And you should 100% say, we need to celebrate the good news deffo

@YourTipsyDog I hope it’s good signs for you and the crampy has calmed down x

Klmno · 17/09/2025 20:39

Aww @Backtotheicsi I am so so happy for you! Huge congratulations! That is wonderful news!!
Has it sunk in yet? When will you tell your daughter?

@YourTipsyDog really hope that was implantation bleeding, it sounds like it could well have been?!

@pastelheart I'm so glad that it was special! A lot of the joy of it all is taken from us during this process so it's great that they managed to bring some of it back for you with a nice experience you could share together.

Backtotheicsi · 17/09/2025 22:17

@pastelheart @Klmno thank you ladies!
I have pretty bad anxiety around it, I’m sure we all would, I think a previous chemical has caused my guards to be all the way up! I will keep my fingers crossed for my ultrasound in around 3 weeks, no date yet. In terms of telling my girl it’s a toughie I would wait until Christmas personally she’s an over thinker and less time would be better I feel but I work in her school and lets be honest schools are full of gossiping ladies so not sure it might be best to tell her before it gets out here’s hoping I can get away with just my boss and my close friends who I work in an ALN hub with! Once it’s out I would need to tell her. Wow that’s the furthest ahead I’ve let myself think. IVF is something else entirely! What a brave bunch of ladies we are!

Happyclappy22 · 17/09/2025 22:49

@YourTipsyDog that’s deffo sounds positive to me. The wondering really does continue, spotting is actually a sign. I’ve had a funny day. I feel very gassy and this continuous discomfort on my right side of my pelvic and mild cramping because I have endo I keep thinking about that.Im so dying to test maybe I’ll test on Sunday 🙃

@Backtotheicsi A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!! Our first positive, pray that the rest of us will continue in this way and it will be post+ after posti+🥳🥳

YourTipsyDog · 18/09/2025 06:53

@Happyclappy22 That’s true, thank you. I might be tempted to test earlier once everyone else is 🤣

Congratulations @Backtotheicsi that is brilliant news!!!! 🎉 xx

babycoconut · 18/09/2025 07:39

@Backtotheicsi congratulations!!!! Keeping everything crossed that this little one beds in fully and goes from strength to strength ❤️❤️

Backtotheicsi · 18/09/2025 07:41

Thanks ladies 🥰

pastelheart · 18/09/2025 10:00

@Klmno yeah going through this process does take some of the magic away doesn’t it, so got to find other ways to make it special. I have a lovely pic of me in the bed and you can see our embryo on the screen behind and I just love it! I hope you get good news for your day 1 update today

@camelinastormhope you are doing okay and I am still urging just your follicle to grow… not the lining

@YourTipsyDog how are you today?

@Happyclappy22oooo testing sunday maybe! How exciting. How many days are you past transfer now?

so 1dp5dt (have I don’t that right? I have wanted to be able to say that for so long lol) and I am bloated. So bloated. The most bloated since the process started. Still have a few cramps but it’s okay. Hopefully get a call from the lab soon with our final update on the embryos they were still watching. I am really hoping for at least one more for the freezer 🫶🏼

YourTipsyDog · 18/09/2025 10:13

@pastelheart That’s so exciting, I love the idea of the photo you took and I wish I’d thought to do that! I felt terribly bloated after my egg collection, it did eventually go.

I’m feeling a bit crabby today to be honest, I think the waiting is starting to get to me. I’ve had a few crampy feelings but I know the Cyclogest can cause all sorts of things…

Klmno · 18/09/2025 10:13

@Backtotheicsi completely understandable to feel anxious, such a precious baby and gone through so much to get here. I can't even contemplate how anxious I will (hopefully) be at that stage.

Looking at everyone's posts, I need to be prepared to feel very gassy/bloated post embryo transfer...appears to be a recurrent theme 🤣 Which worries me somewhat as I'm already a gassy person hahaha!

@pastelheart I'm glad you got a nice pic. A colleague who had IVF told me to take lots of pics as it's such a huge part of our story, and our hopeful baby's story, and she's glad she has memories of it as she's so grateful for the process. I thought that was a nice outlook.

I'm so nervous about my update. Hopefully will hear by 11.

Felt really sick all night, I think it's because they put me on cabegorline to prevent ohss- well I think it's that as it started just after I took it. Hope it's the drugs rather than actually developing ohss lol

Also feeling a bit down about more waiting before a fet, which is stupid as we always knew it was likely, but I'm so tired of waiting. But I don't even know if we'll have any embryos yet so need to just focus on this stage!

OP posts:
boberto88 · 18/09/2025 10:49

@Klmno have you heard yet hun?
6 out of 7 fertilised. I’m shaking with anxiety but that’s the best result I’ve had in all my 5 rounds. Hopefully they grow xxx

Happyclappy22 · 18/09/2025 10:49

@pastelheart have you been taking progesterone ? The blaotibg could be from that? Hopefully it a sign of good things to come ! Hoping for good news from the lab too!

@YourTipsyDog I’m feeling really horrible today aswell and sad. I caved in a tested early (which hubby told me not to do) I used clear blue with the line (not digital) and it was a BFN I couldn’t even seen a faint line l. I know it’s maybe to early but seeing so many on the forum test early got my hopes up and I have this constant discomfort on the right side of my pelvic almost like a constant stitch that keeps coming and going. I didn’t even want to go work after seeing it. Do you think I should still test Sunday or wait until the OTD? We’re currently 5dp5dt. I didn’t even wanna go to work. I feel so down right now 😭😭😭😭

pastelheart · 18/09/2025 11:08

Yes so heard back from the lab, we got one more high grade embryo! So pleased, so that was 3 high grade embryos for the cycle and that is bang on average for my age, AHM etc so I am really pleased. Two in the freezer for the future 🩷 I’m not sure if I mentioned but we thought we would only be able to do one cycle of ivf as we had two vials of frozen sperm and zero chance of anymore. But, they only had to use one vial so if worst comes to worst we do still have another shot at another cycle so that has taken some pressure off (but our bank accounts are crying at the thought)

@YourTipsyDogyou can get excused for crabbiness during this process so it’s fine lol

@Klmnoyeah we have documented everything with pics and videos, I have a beaut video of me coming round after egg collection… I look off my tits and seeing as I don’t drink it was strange to watch that back 😂 sorry you are feeling sick and again, I hope your update goes well

@boberto88thats amazing news! I’m so pleased for you 🩷

@Happyclappy22 yeppp i am on lubion and suppositories so i am sure its that. I am sorry about your negative but it is still really early so it doesn’t mean it will stay negative and i really hope it doesn’t xx

YourTipsyDog · 18/09/2025 11:11

@Happyclappy22 Oh bless you. I think that’s it’s probably much too early to test- according to t’internet, implantation would only just have happened. I think I would be inclined to wait a bit longer than Sunday but it’s easier said than done. I am going to try to get to the day before OTD so I don’t ruin my week with bad news. I know I should be more positive but when you’ve only ever seen negative tests, it’s hard to believe that you’ll ever see anything different!

I hope you can do something nice to get through the day :)

YourTipsyDog · 18/09/2025 11:13

@pastelheart that’s true, I’ll continue with my crabbiness. The sound of the Hoover at work is making me want to tear my hair out!

That’s so great that you have two for the freezer, it takes the pressure off a little doesn’t it x
