July IVF/ICSI/FET

I didn’t see a thread for July IVF yet. I am due to start stims around 18Jul with estrogen priming starting the week before that. Collection will be the end of July all going well.
This will be my second IVF and I will be using ICSI. I will be 40 during treatment and 41 come collection. I have a child from my first IVF 3 years ago. Since then I had a chemical pregnancy Dec 2024 with my only other embryo from my 2022 cycle and a failed IUI in Feb this year.
I found the discussion board really helpful and supportive in my first IVF round as we all understand the crazy ups and downs of this rollercoaster. Wondering if there are any others with similar timing?

My first round of ivf resulted in a 5bc and that little miracle just turned 1 so there's every possibility of a bc giving you success

@VioIetMoon I had back to back egg collections with my previous clinics which worked out around a 6 week break. I had to wait for the withdrawal bleed after the EC and then I could start on day 2 of my next normal period (they said the withdrawal bleed doesn’t count as a period).

Morning everyone! 4dp5dt today and honestly feel very normal. I had a lot of cramps yesterday but today super normal!

@ALittleExpressive glad you had a good time at pride! Omg i had the same worry as i danced a bit at the concert on sat (very lightly) but then i was thinking omg was that "intense exercise" that the clinic warned against haha. How are you feeling?

I have had no symptoms since 1DP5DT... I'd sooooo like to feel more. Yesterday was symptom free for me.

@ALittleExpressive i'd love to have sore boobs or something haha! With my successful pregnancy i remember taking a pregnancy test to "get it over with" and "move on with my cycle" as i felt no real symptoms either so i am hoping thats the case!

@Timetotryagain ohhhh that's actually a really helpful account! I've never been pregs before so I've only got others accounts to compare to. Hoping our current 2WWs resolve like your previous pregnancy did, with few if any symptoms! 🤞

Embryology just messaged me. All 4 are still growing but two have reached the expanding blastocyst stage so transfer going ahead today. I’ll get more information once at clinic as appreciate so much how above and beyond they’ve gone with the information so far.

I am so shocked. Never in a million years did I think I’d get this far

@Timetotryagain when is your OTD? Honestly with my successful transfers , I got no symptoms. Maybe the usual like cramps and maybe a bit of bloating but I think i get them everytime and its just the progesterone pessaries.

I’m on day 3 of stims so no scans yet, not a clue what is going on in there but my left ovary is starting to twinge which is always the painful one. I’ve had immunology blood tests this morning so will be interesting to see if there are any issues there.

Thinking of everyone of their TWW, it’s not an easy 2 weeks that’s for sure and you symptom spot without even trying. I found myself worrying at cramps/twinges and then also worrying when there was nothing at all. Total mind melt.
Hope everyone else on their journeys are doing well. I’m starting my estrogen priming Thursday and just can’t wait to get started but nervous too.

Grade 4AB on board. Official test date in 10 days. All other 3 looking as if will be frozen today or tomorrow ❤️

@Miraclemuma03 My otd is not till 13dp5dt which seems wayy too late hah. I had positives with my now toddler at 10dpo so 5dp5dt . when would you test? Have you finished the pill now?

Congrats all you ladies with embabies on board. I hope they are all successful.

Has anyone done multiple rounds and switched anything up that they feel helped improve quality ? I know quality is something that is highly debated.
On our last round all 3 of the fertilised eggs got to blast but we're terrible quality. Blessed one worked but it meant no frozen embryos for us since the grades were too poor to freeze.
In a dream scenario we'd love to have a frozen spare
Our clinic are pushing us for a frozen transfer , should we get that far ( I'm struggling to understand why since having been through ivf before , I don't produce many eggs ) kinda feel like it's just to get more money out of us as they said it would bump up the cost if we had to do a frozen as opposed to fresh. Can't remember if he said 1 or 2 k.
My concern is because none of our embryos were suitable to freeze, if we're not allowed to do a fresh , any embryos we had would essentially be disposed off which would be heartbreaking.
Anyone any tips as I'm feeling a bit hopeless

@VioIetMoon Ive been taking Zita West supplements as I’m 41 so egg quality is against me due to age! I’ve also been doing weekly acupuncture although not sure how much difference that makes. The supplements were the ones recommended in it starts with the egg. I had one cycle when I’d been on them only around 6 weeks and the outcome was the same, but we think that’s due to my partner having high fragmentation so it’s hard to tell if anything I do makes a difference.

@Timetotryagain it’s my first cycle with this clinic so I’ve no idea! They do everything day by day so I guess at some point they’ll decide it’s time for a scan, they said maybe tomorrow which will be day 4.

DHEA 25mg once daily and 0.4mg growth hormone injections for a month prior to stims. Ovum supplement and vitamin D

1.2mg growth hormone during stims, 10 days of steroids and LOW stims

Ive had two cycles where got low maturity and not fertilisation. Since this new clinic and doing the above managed 7 mature eggs of which, 4 fertilised and one has been put back in today and other 3 likely being frozen.

Totally cool news, @PlanBFertility! Best of luck on this TWW! I'm finding the best strategy for me is to literally ignore the fact that I'm PUPO, cause I've found the symptom guessing game not very easy to play!

@VioIetMoon i took ubiquinol although it was my first round i did have a good blast rate. Have you tried that?

@Timetotryagain in my medicated cycles like fresh transfers i have to wait until 14dpt before getting a beta and on fet that we dont take a trigger shot for, I have to wait 11dpt. Our clinic recommend not using hpt at all and to wait for our blood test but usually On a fresh cycle I test at 5dpt and if positive i test again at 7dpt and then i leave it at that so i dont drive myself mad with line progression and wait for my bloods to confirm, with a fresh transfer I test at 7dpt and if positive I test again at 9dpt and again leave it until beta.

No pill today. Thank god. Hopefully I can go back to feeling normal before ivf treatment, that was a rough 10 days.
Now we wait for yet more bleeding. Suppose to start 3 to 5 days after stopping the pill. My first clinic app is on the 11th, il pick up my meds and have a blood test.
