Anyone starting stims in November?

I started stims last night. I'm on a long protocol. Started in October with norethisterone and then Buserelin. This is my second IVF cycle.

First cycle I didn't take the Buserelin, had 8 eggs collected, 3 blasts, none normal (1 high level mosaic in the freezer)

I'm on a 2 cycles package, so hoping this one is the lucky one 🙂

@hopefullsosbry that makes sense. It's in close proximity so they wouldn't want to knowingly risk it.

I haven't watched that. Let us know if it's good. Always looking for something good to watch 🙂

@bubu24 @hopefullsosbry thank you so much for sharing your experiences,really has put my mind at ease! I’m lucky enough to have got to 37 without any experience of sedation or anaesthesia so I think it’s the unknown that has caused the anxiety. I’ve got my scan tomorrow (been stimming for 9 days) so hopefully everything is where it should be. I haven’t watched joy but I plan to this week! Let us know if it’s worth a watch.

Hi @tpeas how are you doing?I’ve had a scan this morning just waiting for phone call for time of trigger shot,feeling very excited but abit nervous

@Cosyseason1234 eek exciting! I'm feeling very tired but just because I didn't sleep well, don't think it's stim related. Otherwise slightly nervous for the trigger but excited to see how Weds goes, if a bit apprehensive! At my scan today they said one side has progressed more than the other so hope it doesn't limit my chances. Hopefully it goes well for both of us

@tpeas just had the call it’s a freeze cycle for me. Don’t really know how I feel but know it’s best to be safe and also gives us abit of control about when transfer is. I think that is normal one side progressing more than the other? Is one of your ovaries less visible?

Oh that must be a bit disappointing @Cosyseason1234 but for sure your health is most important! Does that mean implantation will be post-christmas for you? I don't think so, just the follicles on one side were bigger than the other I think. Just hoping the trigger doesn't make me feel funny now!

I have been feeling a wee bit sicky tonight, not sure if it’s the antibiotics or the 3 injections I have to take .. hopefully it passes soon.
oh yeh and I watched ‘joy’ and it was a good watch, just to let you all know.

@tpeas It’s a freeze all so will be a 2025 transfer 😥 ivf is such a rollercoaster. Trying to see it as a positive that I can have abit of freedom from the psychological bashing that IVF is.

@Cosyseason1234 sorry you are having to wait, it’s frustrating when you have geared yourself up for the ‘big event’ at the end of the stims etc .. plus you kinda plan everything around that and put things on hold .. hope you will be able to have a nice relaxing Christmas and then re focus on the transfers next year.

@hopefullsosbry just done the trigger and trying to see it as a positive that I can have a mental and physical break from IVF in December. You are so right it will be lovely to have a chilled Christmas with no pressure ❤️ who knew IVF would be so all consuming?!

Thank you for your well wishes @hopefullsosbry . I'll update on Wednesday unless I'm completely knocked out for the rest of the day 😅. I hope you don't feel too bad on your stims. I've felt a bit rough today but don't know if stim related or just other health niggles. Hoping the trigger doesn't cause too much agro.
That's a shame @Cosyseason1234 (ignore extra tag @hopefullsosbry I can't seem to delete!!) but good you can have a restful Christmas. Worried I'll just be a bag of nerves through it. Just about to do the trigger as well. Fingers crossed for Weds eh?

@tpeas hope your trigger went ok,hopefully we both get good results on Wednesday 🤞 my head is very jumbled with the anxiety of it,I don’t think the massive amount of hormones teeming around my body helps 😂 have you been sedated before?

Thank you @Cosyseason1234 , I hope so too! I thought it was a bit more painful than the stims jab but that could be psychological 😅 haha no I'm sure it doesn't. No, never been sedated or had any proper sleep meds so a bit nervous for that, have you?

I haven’t either,let’s hope we have a really nice sleep and wake up refreshed 😂 are you working throughout this cycle? I have been in everyday so far but taken tomorrow off after I was very emotional at the freeze news, don’t think I’d have got a lot done with nerves about Wednesday anyway.

Yes I hope so, don't want to be feeling lots of pain! I have been working yes but flexibly. My work have been really good about it. I wasn't feeling great yesterday so I just took an extra couple of hours after the scan. Have said I'll be off tomorrow and potentially Thurs too. Hope your work have been alright with things too @Cosyseason1234 ?

My work have been really good too,I’m lucky to get fertility leave and have taken today as an extra as feeling very overwhelmed and got a banging headache. Going to get out for lots of fresh air try and clear my head! How are you feeling?

Sorry to hear that, really hope you feel better soon! Definitely do whatever you need. I'm still feeling tired - I'm not a great sleeper at the best of times and with it all going round my head I've been struggling to sleep last couple of nights. No additional symptoms since the trigger at least which is good.

I feel much better after abit of air and thinking this time tomorrow hopefully all the hard work will have paid off 🤞 have you got an early arrival time for clinic? Hopefully you get a good sleep tonight and if not then just a really good one tomorrow when the EC is done!

Glad to hear it @Cosyseason1234 and hope you have a good rest too. Yes, need to be there at 9:15 and the clinic is an hour away with parking always a nightmare!

@tpeas @Cosyseason1234 hope your EC went ok and you are both relaxing and not too sore ?! Excited to hear how you both got on, hope you can take it easy and chill all day. 💫

I was sleeping by 9 last night .. was so tied and felt rubbish .. much better today after a good sleep, I do have slight tenderness in right side today so hopefully that’s just things growing, my baseline scan showed 7 follicles on the right and 4 on the left so hopefully they are all reacting as they should .. 🤞🏽

@hopefullsosbry EC is tomorrow,thank you so much for your well wishes ❤️ this time tomorrow hopefully will all be over and will have some good news.

I had a strange sensation during stims,not painful but like cramping and feeling very full?! Fingers crossed your ovaries are getting lovely and plump!
