Anyone starting stims in November?

I started stims last night. I'm on a long protocol. Started in October with norethisterone and then Buserelin. This is my second IVF cycle.

First cycle I didn't take the Buserelin, had 8 eggs collected, 3 blasts, none normal (1 high level mosaic in the freezer)

I'm on a 2 cycles package, so hoping this one is the lucky one 🙂

Hi, just wondering if I can join ? I start down reg on Thursday, this will be my 3rd round,

About me - we have had 6 miscarriages in the last 5 years, 2 natural and 4 through our pervious ivf and isci cycle (1st miscarriage at 36 , I am now 41) got male factor of DNA fragmentation my AMH is 11 which is not to bad for my age ? I have a child to a previous partner who is an older child now, we are doing ICSI this time again and getting any embryos we create tested via PGT testing for genetic testing as one of our miscarriages we got a biopsy of what I passed (was 11 weeks old fetous) and it had triple x syndrome.

@hopefullsosbry welcome! So sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages,infertility and ivf really is so hard. I am 37,first round of IVF with male factor infertility. I am lucky enough to have a little boy from a previous relationship. I have just started short protocol,day 3 of stims. AMH of 11 at 41 is amazing! My colleague had success at 42 and now has a 20 year old,this always really fills me with hope and hope it does you too! X

@bubu24 how did your scan go yesterday?

Hi @tpeas I'm booked for egg collection tomorrow morning. Not sure what happened but on Friday my largest follicles were 17 and 18mm and Saturday I had 3×21mm... hoping those eggs are not over mature by the time they're collected...
I had 20 follicles in total but only about 8-9 at the right size. My AFC was around 10 so I guess the extra follicles appear with the extra stimulation.
In any case, feeling pretty positive. Hopefully I'll have some good news tomorrow 🙂

Hope you are keeping well. Remember to drink lots of water if you get headaches. That always seemed to help me.

@hopefullsosbry sorry to hear about your miscarriages. That must have been so tough, especially at 11 weeks...
I think you have a great AMH at 41 so hopefully plenty of good eggs still in the bank 🙂.

@tpeas how are the headaches today? I was all over the place on the northesterone with headaches and emotions,feel a lot better on stims so far. When is your first scan? Hope you are doing well.

Thanks for asking! So far ok thank you, and yes definitely feeling better overall compared to a couple of days ago - glad you feel the same. First scan on Weds! What about you?

Hi @tpeas went really well, thank you. They retrieved 17 eggs which I really didn't expect, as last time I had 8...
We'll see tomorrow how many were actually mature and fertilised.
But definitely looks like the long protocol worked better for me.

@tpeas great to hear you are feeling better. My first scan is Wednesday too! I’ve got wed,Fri and Monday with hopefully EC on 27/11/2024. Are you on similar timeframe?

@Cosyseason1234 my schedule is basically exactly the same! Yay cycle buddy. Scans Weds and Mon with the 27th or 29th for EC.

@tpeas so good to have someone on the same time frame! Fingers crossed for good news for our scans on wed 👏🏻 I am potentially high risk for OHSS so it may be a freeze until January but we will see,are you doing fresh transfer?

@Cosyseason1234 absolutely 👏I am at higher risk for OHSS too so I'll have to see how the next week or so goes, but hopefully a fresh transfer all being well!

Thank you @tpeas and @Cosyseason1234 . I got an update from the clinic today. 14 eggs were mature and 10 fertilised. Attrition rates so far in line with my previous cycle. Hoping it says the same and we get double the number of blastocysts too.

@Cosyseason1234 all good thank you - everything's looking on track and can keep my stims dosage as is. Was a relief as I was concerned nothing was happening! How was yours?

@tpeas same,so relieved! The only thing is they could only see one ovary,the nurse wasn’t worried as the one they could see has responded well. Glad all is good for you too! Have you started the gandrilex?

@Cosyseason1234 that's good! I've never heard of that so we must be on slightly dif treatment regimes. I'm just down to continue stims for the next 5 days.

@tpeas its to stop me ovulating,I am panicking abit as I forgot to take it last night so ended up taking it 11 hours late 🤦🏻‍♀️ no idea how I forgot it and really hoping I haven’t messed up! I think it may have shown up in my bloods today if I had started to ovulate though,and they didn’t call me this afternoon to change anything so fingers crossed.

Hi ladies. Sorry, I started this thread but I'm not very active... Hope you are doing well.

I had an update from the clinic today. 8 embryos made it to day 3. She said there was another 4 cells one which might pick up pace, although unlikely. But very happy with 8. Hoping for good news on Saturday too.

@Cosyseason1234 have you told the clinic you missed the dose / took it late? Even if they didn't pick up anything in the blood tests I think you should mention it in case they need to amend your treatment in anyway. Or anyway just so they can put your mind at ease that everything is fine.
