I'm on lubion x1 and cyclogest 1 pessary twice a day

Hi @CherryBerryBoo congratulations on your BFP! That's such great news. I had my blood done at 10dp and 14dp. Levels were 214 and 1500.
I wanted to do another one because I am terrified of waiting 2 weeks for the ultrasound.

@Daniki good luck today!! Hoping for a beautiful, strong heartbeat

Sierra26 · 11/10/2024 12:56

Can I join you? Recognise some names, congratulations to all here ❤️

I’m 36, 7+1 with first pregnancy. This was my first BFP after 2 years of trying naturally and a few ovulation induction rounds. Unexplained issues.

We did IVF in April but ended in a freeze all as I developed OHSS. First FET in July failed. Made a few tweaks to protocol and second FET in Sept led to this BFP. One more embryo still frozen.

Had a private scan at 6+2 and saw heartbeat. I was so anxious before and then weirdly felt really cool and collected in the scan. My IVF clinic scan is next week at 8w.

I usually exercise a lot but stopped running and gym classes from FET date, and doing 10k steps a day instead. Cant wait to ramp it up a little in a few weeks if all still looks okay.

I feel pretty good except random periods of extreme tiredness and hungry ALL the time. If i get too hungry my stomach cramps and I feel dizzy and awful. I’ve been eating loads and have actually lost a little weight despite not being sick at all. Might be lost muscle though from not working out!

Daniki · 11/10/2024 14:58

Had my scan, strong heartbeat confirmed ❤️ but measuring a few days behind which is niggling at me but trying to put to the back of my mind!

xMrsxHx87x · 11/10/2024 16:57

@Daniki great news about the heartbeat!

Amazing news, main thing is that strong heartbeat! Try and keep positive! X

Congratulations to you! Pleased your scan went well!

I am too a keen gym goer and runner (3 times a week up to 30km!) so I'm finding it mentally difficult to cope with no running or gym at the moment. Wanted to try and wait til scan and then maybe start doing some light jogging trying to stay in a zone 2. I'm feel so bleugh from all the meds!

PurpleRayne89 · 11/10/2024 18:53

@Mochistory i am on Cyclogest pessaries x 3 a day and 1 Lubion injection every 5th day.

Sierra26 · 11/10/2024 20:06

@CherryBerryBoo thank you!

I’m thinking something similar, just monitoring heart rate and keeping it low. Every time i go for a walk my legs just want to go for it! And I want to maintain a good level for as long as possible so it’s not too much of a mission to recover next year. I feel such a need to be cautious but have been wondering if I would have just carried on as normal had we fallen naturally.

That all said I did already have to run almost a mile yesterday with my work backpack in order to make it to an appt on time 😂

Natasha90 · 11/10/2024 20:25

Just catching up with the thread.

I bet it was a dream to hear the heartbeat. Are you going for a re scan? @Daniki

I've been drinking so much cranberry juice as I didn't want to take the antibiotics from the doctor and massively feel better.

1 week count down to the scan is on.

I did go to the GP for a BETA should get the results back next Tuesday. From these results I will book in with the GP to be referred to the midwife.

I really want to research, shop and shout from the roof tops so much.

Daniki · 11/10/2024 21:24

@Natasha90 hope it's gone away! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 yea it was great relief to see it! I was awful nervous all morning and had a migraine too so wasn't feeling great. She actually found a second sac but it was empty, she said it was a pseudosac and it's pretty normal! I thought twins at first glance 😂

Natasha90 · 12/10/2024 07:43

@Daniki have you booked in for your 12 weeks scan?

PurpleRayne89 · 12/10/2024 07:52

Good news @Daniki I am happy for you ☺️

I got 3+ weeks on a CBD today at 19dp5dt. I likely would have seen this yesterday if I tried. My nausea has ramped up and I threw up before bed. Even with my last pregnancy, I got night time sickness and not morning. I guess it doesn’t interfere with work so it’s good. My boobs are sore and my 3yo DS keeps leaning on them with his elbows 😪

PurpleRayne89 · 12/10/2024 07:53

@Natasha90 I hope you are feeling ok. Cranberry juice is refreshing especially when it’s cold so enjoy! When I’ve been on antibiotics or just had an upset stomach, I take acidophilus tablets. After food poisoning in Bali it’s been my thing!

Daniki · 12/10/2024 08:12

@Natasha90 yea im booked in for the 18th nov, it feels like a lifetime away! Really hoping I make it so far, finding it very hard to deal with the anxiety 🙈 @PurpleRayne8 that's nice to see and as horrible as the sickness is it's like a reassurance too! Yea my son is the same for leaning on me! Currently standing on me 😂

teampacey · 12/10/2024 09:54

Hi everyone! Just catching up, been a busy few days.
Congrats and welcome to @CherryBerryBoo @Mochistory and @Sierra26!

@Daniki great news on the scan! I honestly would not worry about measurements at this stage, it's in millimetres and only has to be a tiny bit out to get a different date. All sounds really positive!

Yay @PurpleRayne89 that's great news! Awful to be wishing nausea on each other but it's the one time it's acceptable!

@Natasha90 glad you're feeling better. UTI's are so nasty! I feel the same about wanting to research etc- all my targeted adds are now maternity or baby focused 🤣

@Mochistory I'm on 400mg progesterone pessaries 2x per day

My update, my tests are now getting really dark wohooo! Got some more digital coming today to do one tomorrow and hoping to see 2-3 as it'll be a week since my 1-2. Got a drs appointment on Monday for my hcg and a viability scan on 23/10. I have very sore boobs, lots of weeing and occasional nausea and of course I'm exhausted!

Last night we had a family party at ours and I managed to get away with drinking non alcoholic prosecco without anybody noticing! Wooohooo! So funny as me and my husband would sneak to the kitchen and top me up giggling at our little secret when no one was looking!

Now I just need to get through my 40th next month with no one noticing that I'm not drinking!

Morning everyone! @teampacey that's funny about the alcohol cover up. I've had to tell my friends I'm doing Sober October as we went to the pub on Friday and I would normally always have a couple of drinks. Think they bought it!

I'm curious about people's experiences with blood tests after a positive home test. I haven't been offered one from my IVF provider, and I was under the impression that in cases of natural conception the process would be that you'd report to the GP and a blood test would follow? However, I decided to contact my GP to let them know I thought I was pregnant and they said they don't offer confirmatory blood tests either. I'm assuming this must be a Local Health Authority issue? As my IVF is NHS funded. There's obviously nothing I can do about it. Has anyone else had this experience? For those of you getting bets tests, did you have to arrange it privately or was it just part of the overall process?

PurpleRayne89 · 13/10/2024 08:01

@xMrsxHx87x At my private clinic it’s standard to have a confirmation blood draw. Some clinics do repeats if it’s low. I paid another lab for 2 subsequent tests however.

Sierra26 · 13/10/2024 10:07

@xMrsxHx87x I wasn’t automatically offered one through my GP or my IVF clinic (I’m NHS funded in a private clinic).

I did end up getting one though - I was spotting at 4-5 weeks so my ivf clinic suggested they do one after I phoned for advice. I went in, had it done, and they tried to charge me. I said I was NHS and I wasn’t aware there would be a charge, they went on to waive it ‘on this occasion because I wasn’t told’ but weren’t happy and said if I needed a repeat if would be charged.

CherryBerryBoo · 13/10/2024 14:02

Oh I meant booking bloods so the usual ante natal ones. I don't think my clinic does confirmation betas either.

Daniki · 13/10/2024 15:47

Had some spotting when I went to the toilet 😭 just feels like history repeating itself.

PurpleRayne89 · 13/10/2024 16:12

@Daniki Are you on progesterone? Can you contact your EPU? Sorry to hear this is happening x

Daniki · 13/10/2024 16:26

@PurpleRayne89 yep on progesterone just really hoping it's that. Il see how I get on, I have a scan with my clinic again on Tuesday so will try hold out to that x

PurpleRayne89 · 13/10/2024 16:27

@Daniki Sometimes progesterone can cause spotting. Fingers crossed for your scan Tuesday. X

Daniki · 13/10/2024 16:37

@PurpleRayne89 really hoping that's it! I have a bit of pressure down below so I feel the odds are not in my favour but sure we'll see x
