IVF OCTOBER TRANSFERS

Hello

I have almost finished a long protocol of Meriofert 300 and Gonal F 75ui. My EC is due the week commencing 7/10/24 😅

A little background… I had a successful round of IVF on my first round in 2020. Although it was a close call. My issue is… I only manage to get ONE poor quality embryo. Since my successful round, I have since had 2 failed ones. However, it’s time to go again. Aiming to transfer mid October.

Wondering if there are any cycle buddies out there and a little back story. Good luck to all x

Hello @TallGirlProblems I had my FET transfer on 1st October, so a bit further along than you. I test this week!
I had a successful round in 2021. I transferred a frozen embryo from my 2021 batch in September.
Wishing you all BFPs x

pumpkinspicewaffles · 06/10/2024 21:50

I’ve got an FET this week after a successful one back in 2020 too! Haven’t attempted anything since then but hoping this one goes as smoothly 🙏🏻

TallGirlProblems · 07/10/2024 01:55

Eeek @BrightStar2021 so your in the dreaded 2 week wait already. Have you decided to wait it out or test? It’s promising that your embryo is from your last batch too. I have everything crossed for you.

@pumpkinspicewaffles so we are all trying for a sibling. My transfer will be this week too. I have my EC in the morning so fingers crossed I get some embryos and will be transferring on the 11th.

Good luck to you all xxxx

Thank you @TallGirlProblems . I am planning not to test and trying to keep busy during the wait.

SunshineCorazon24 · 07/10/2024 07:29

Hi! I'm anticipating FET in the next couple of weeks, and I must say that I'm a bit nervous because my frozen embryo's grading is 5CC.

A bit of backstory: My first IVF cycle began last month. Out of 5 fertilised eggs, only 2 continued to develop. I had a fresh 3dt last month, but sadly, that didn't stick so here I am just hoping that all will go well this time around.

Wishing you the best in your upcoming EC @TallGirlProblems. Sending some baby dust your way too, @BrightStar2021 and @pumpkinspicewaffles. Hoping to hear some good news from everyone soon. :)

TallGirlProblems · 07/10/2024 07:50

@BrightStar2021 yes I think I will try and do the same. Although, I usually test around day 6 or 7 as I know for certain usually by then. Can I ask, are you on the pesseries. If so, how many?

@SunshineCorazon24 I bet the wait is absolutely killing you! But the count down is on now. I was always told to take no notice of the grading as it is literally an estimate. Fingers crossed for you honey xxx

Going in for my EC, had 17 follicles on the scan this time so hoping I get at least a couple of mature ones out of that

@TallGirlProblems that's great you can do your transfer the same week as your EC! We had to do a freeze all when we did ours, and while I'm glad I had the chance to feel better it was hard having to do more waiting.

I stupidly forgot one of my progynova pills yesterday - I noticed as I was taking my evening dose 😟The internet seems to think it will be fine but I'm kicking myself. I couldn't even take it late as it would have meant doubling up.

BrightStar2021 · 07/10/2024 09:01

@TallGirlProblems hello, yes I am on vaginal pessaries. I take 1 3 times a day x

Wonderwall1988 · 07/10/2024 20:03

Hi 👋 I’m due to have an fet tomorrow. This will be my first ever transfer. We have a nearly 8 year old who was conceived naturally and have been trying to have a sibling for 6 years (multiple miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies).
very nervous/ excited!
good luck to all of you who have had or are due to have transfers soon 🤞🤞🤞🤞

TallGirlProblems · 08/10/2024 08:22

@pumpkinspicewaffles I would have just doubled it up tbh. On my successful round, I used to miss them all the time with my shift patterns and forgetting but I would just take 2 the following morning.

@Wonderwall1988 hey! Wow that is exciting. So you will have the dreaded 2 week wait. Do what some of the other girls have mentioned. Just keep yourself busy. I’ve decided I’m going to lounge around all day on transfer day and then plan little activities following that. I have booked a week off work.

I managed to get 13 eggs at collection… awaiting the call to see how many fertilised. Aiming for transfer on the 12th which is this Saturday xxxx

@TallGirlProblems congratulations on the eggs, that’s great!

I’ve got my transfer this afternoon so trying to distract myself until then..

@TallGirlProblems 13 is a good number. Hoping to hear more good news in the upcoming days. :)

Lounging around after transfer day sounds like a great idea. I might take that advice too for a change as I went straight to work when I had my 3dt last month.

Thank you! ❤️
It went well I think. having to have a full bladder whilst having a speculum and an abdominal scan is no joke, literally thought i was going to pee all over the doctor 😂
just have to wait 11 days for otd 🤞iv asked my husband to hide all the pregnancy tests as I do not trust myself not to test before 😉

Thanks! Planning on keeping myself as busy as possible.
13 is a great number! We only had 7 eggs collected so I was feeling pretty negative but we ended up with 4x day 5 blasts so I was over the moon. 🤞🤞🤞 for you.
xx

SplatterCat · 08/10/2024 17:10

We had our first ever transfer today so joining you for the wait. Also planning to keep busy and try and avoid testing.
Keeping everything crossed for you all.

I feel you! When I had my first transfer, it literally felt that my bladder was about to pop. I actually had to ask if I can go to the toilet and pee a little before the procedure because I was already in pain. Looks like I drank too much water. 😂

Hopingforno2in2024 · 08/10/2024 19:15

Please may I join? Had my transfer today and can see a couple of others have too which is exciting! My second transfer but first frozen one and my only embryo in the freezer. Was a 4bb and test date is 20th October.

pumpkinspicewaffles · 09/10/2024 11:29

@Hopingforno2in2024 mine was a 4bb in yesterday too! My successful first transfer was the same so I’m hoping they’re just as sticky 💕

I had an awful headache after my transfer which made me throw up, so I’m really hoping that doesn’t affect anything 😞 I know it shouldn’t but all that stomach cramping feels like a lot for a tiny embryo trying to nestle in!!

pumpkinspicewaffles · 09/10/2024 11:30

@TallGirlProblems i hope you get good news about fertilisation numbers today!

Hopingforno2in2024 · 09/10/2024 13:20

Aww so lovely that you also had a 4bb put in yesterday @pumpkinspicewaffles and let's hope they are both as successful as your last one! I'm sure the stomach stuff won't affect anything :)

Sineadttc · 09/10/2024 13:40

Hi girls, can I join too?
We just had our ET with 2 grade A embryos. Our first fresh transfer was back in August with 1 grade but sadly it failed to impact. This cycle was natural and I feel so much more prepared mentally.
sending you all loads of sticky vibes 😘

pumpkinspicewaffles · 10/10/2024 07:07

@Sineadttc good luck! do you have to take any medication at this stage with a natural cycle? I’ve only ever done medicated. Hope you’re feeling well!

Sineadttc · 10/10/2024 08:04

@pumpkinspicewaffles no medication at all for this cycle. It feels different this time because the medication is not consuming my thoughts and I feel more like myself!

TallGirlProblems · 10/10/2024 08:16

Hello everyone.
Hope everyone is staying strong during their 2WW. ❤️ Sending positivity your way.

I had some good news, so out of my 13 collected, 10 have fertilised which is amazing for me. However, I usually only end up with one to transfer and nothing to freeze, so still very nervous and not keeping my hopes up.

Transferring this Saturday the 12th 🤞🏾 I said I wouldn’t but I already ordered 25 cheap tests from Amazon. Why am I like this 🥹
