Hello

I have almost finished a long protocol of Meriofert 300 and Gonal F 75ui. My EC is due the week commencing 7/10/24 😅

A little background… I had a successful round of IVF on my first round in 2020. Although it was a close call. My issue is… I only manage to get ONE poor quality embryo. Since my successful round, I have since had 2 failed ones. However, it’s time to go again. Aiming to transfer mid October.

Wondering if there are any cycle buddies out there and a little back story. Good luck to all x

Hopingforno2in2024 · 19/10/2024 16:49

My tests have arrived so am ready for the morning. Have a lovely day with my best friend planned whatever the outcome :)

grasyas · 19/10/2024 20:53

@Hopingforno2in2024 goodluck. my official test date is on 24th. though i am already positive. I will feel more at ease if i get to see the scan. Thinking if it is in the right place or developing. 🤞

Hopingforno2in2024 · 20/10/2024 05:55

Negative for me this morning. I really thought this one might have worked. Have had a cry and now focusing on having a nice day. Good luck to everyone still in the game ❤️

pumpkinspicewaffles · 20/10/2024 07:11

@Hopingforno2in2024 I’m so so sorry 😔 I hope you’re able to enjoy your day, but that you also have time to process. All the best for your next steps ♥️

Hummingbird36 · 20/10/2024 08:14

So sorry to hear that @Hopingforno2in2024 it's just so hit and miss!

Feels cruel to say now but we just got our BFN, which we are gobsmacked about as absolutely nothing has gone right throughout this whole process!

We are a little cautious about how excited we get as my wife has had some very light bleeding/spotting over the past 3 days, (we are day 13 post fresh transfer of a 3 day embryo) so we're hoping it's just late implantation bleeding.

Good luck to everyone else with upcoming OTD's!!! Xxx

Hummingbird36 · 20/10/2024 08:14

Sorry that should read our BFP...

Hopingforno2in2024 · 20/10/2024 09:36

Many congratulations @Hummingbird36. I am genuinely so happy for you and everyone who has had a BFP on this thread. Good luck to everyone still waiting xx

pumpkinspicewaffles · 20/10/2024 17:15

@Hummingbird36 how exciting! I can appreciate the anxiety too. Is she on pessaries? Apparently they can make the cervix very sensitive too which can cause spotting (that is apparently what happened for me last time- I think I pushed the applicator too far in 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Hummingbird36 · 22/10/2024 11:16

So we're going through hell atm, we got our BFP on Sunday, my wife had been spotting since the Friday but we assumed just normal implantation/early pregnancy spotting, then yesterday the blood increased quite abit and changed from light pink to bright red. Everytime she goes to the loo it takes 2 or 3 wipes to completely wipe away the blood and she has constant smudging on blood on her panty liner. She's still testing positive as of this morning, but the cheapo Asda strip tests don't give the darkest line so not that reassuring.

We just got back from the clinic, they've done a blood test and now we have a gruelling wait til around 3pm to hear the results. If HCG levels look okay, they are putting my wife on Lubion progesterone injections and upping her utrogestan pessaries to 4 a day instead of 3.

We're not overly optimistic, it feels like too much blood, devastated!

pumpkinspicewaffles · 22/10/2024 11:53

That's so awful, big hugs to you both <3 The uncertainty and waiting is so gruelling. I hope it's good news!

Frustratedttcno2 · 22/10/2024 12:14

Hi just found this thread so thought I'd hop on.

I am 41 and have on DC who is 4, concieved him naturally but took 2 years of trying.

We have been trying for no 2 for 3 years with one ectopic right at the start and nothing since.

We have opted to travel abroad for treatment, so I am now on day 8 stimms, and based off my scan yesterday I am looking at EC on Friday then a 5 day transfer. So possibly on Halloween!!!

I dont know anyone that has been through it so it's all a bit unknown. Managing the injections fine, a bit bloated and sore but manageable.

SunshineCorazon24 · 23/10/2024 10:14

Been out of the loop for a while, and I'm glad to see that our community got bigger. Congrats to everyone who has gottwn their BFPs! And sprinkling baby dust all over those who are still patiently waiting, including me. :)

I'm scheduled for an FET a couple of days from now,and I'm both exxited and nervous. Hope everything goes well.

pumpkinspicewaffles · 23/10/2024 20:22

@Frustratedttcno2 & @SunshineCorazon24 All the best for your upcoming egg collection/ transfers! The two week wait is the absolute longest wait in the world, hope it passes quickly for you.

Frustratedttcno2 · 24/10/2024 08:20

@pupumpkinspicewaffles thank you.

I had my second scan yesterday and there are 3 good sized follicles and one slightly smaller, but dr said not too small.
So looking at 4 maximum. Collection will be on Saturday.
I wont have many chances but being 41 with a lower AMH I'm not shocked.
I keep telling myself it only takes 1!!! So I'm praying we manage to get 2 to blasts.
Sounds crazy but doing affirmations and trying to think positive thoughts!!!

LT103 · 24/10/2024 14:15

Good luck to those about to have egg collection 🤞
we had FET 2 days ago so just going through the motions. Going to try and hold out to day 10 for testing

Frustratedttcno2 · 26/10/2024 10:47

Well just done EC and we only got 1 oocyte!!!! So all my hopes are on this one!!!

pumpkinspicewaffles · 26/10/2024 15:50

Oh my goodness no pressure little egg! Hope your recovery goes well

SunshineCorazon24 · 30/10/2024 18:39

It's 6dp5dt for me, and I'm feeling a strong urge to buy an hpt. Should I give in, or should I wait until Monday for the blood work?

Hi, hope you've been feeling ok since transfer!

I think it depends on each person (I know that's not helpful!)
I'm very much obsessed with POAS and tested the next day to check trigger was out of my system then again from 5DPT

Unfortunately I've just had a failed cycle but I felt that testing early actually helped me to deal with the disappointment on OTD and I almost had a sense of relief after testing rather than the constant wondering.

But I can see the benefit of being PUPO as it can get a bit obsessive.

Next time I think I'll organise loads of social events in the 2WW to take my mind off it and test a bit later

Good luck x

SunshineCorazon24 · 31/10/2024 19:50

Thanks @spamOFtheDAY! So I ended up giving in to the urge!😂

Tested this morning (7dp5dpt) and it seemed like there was a very faint line there. Not sure though if my eyes were playing tricks on me -- I asked for my DH's opinion and he said he can't see anything. I'll probably POAS again tomorrow morning.

LT103 · 02/11/2024 09:10

So I tested yesterday at 10dpt and got a positive tho the line wasn’t as dark as my previous successful cycle at this stage. I’ve had a failed cycle with low/slow rising hcg before so being a bit cautious.
Will test again on Monday and have hcg bloods then so 🤞

pumpkinspicewaffles · 02/11/2024 09:40

@LT103 thats exciting! My tests were darker much later with this round than my previous success, but all progressing as it should on a digital 🙏🏻 I’ve got my scan next Thursday but all good so far at 6 weeks

SunshineCorazon24 · 02/11/2024 15:37

That's a fine looking line @LT103. Congrats! And I'm glad to hear that all is progressing well for you @pumpkinspicewaffles. :)

I POAS today, and unfortunately that squinter line I had the other day has vanished. Looks like this cycle is unsuccessful for me. Will get my confirmation in tomorrow's beta.
