IVF OCTOBER TRANSFERS

Hello

I have almost finished a long protocol of Meriofert 300 and Gonal F 75ui. My EC is due the week commencing 7/10/24 😅

A little background… I had a successful round of IVF on my first round in 2020. Although it was a close call. My issue is… I only manage to get ONE poor quality embryo. Since my successful round, I have since had 2 failed ones. However, it’s time to go again. Aiming to transfer mid October.

Wondering if there are any cycle buddies out there and a little back story. Good luck to all x

Great news @TallGirlProblems fingers crossed for you!

A natural cycle sounds lovely @Sineadttc, my clinic refused to do it for me though. Hope it all goes well!

pumpkinspicewaffles · 10/10/2024 09:37

Wow no meds sounds dreamy @Sineadttc !

@TallGirlProblems the drop off can be so disheartening, and extra hard when you’re recovering from EC! 🙏hope the next few days go okay

My official test date is Sat 19, but with my daughter I tested at 5dpt and got a positive so I’m sure I won’t last that long 😅

spamOFtheDAY · 10/10/2024 09:55

Speaking of testing.....
does anyone test every day to be sure it's negative that turns positive, or do you wait until test date (near enough to test date)
I don't think I have the Will power to wait until official test date
That's a lie, I know I don't 😝

pumpkinspicewaffles · 10/10/2024 10:03

@spamOFtheDAY I think if you’ve had a trigger shot you can test to make sure it’s out of your system and gone negative but if you haven’t had a trigger shot then a positive is definitely a positive from the embryo!

Hopingforno2in2024 · 10/10/2024 10:15

I waited until test day last time and will do again this time. I can't be doing with squinting and getting my hopes up etc. I want to see a very clear positive or if that isn't to be a very clear negative that is definitive. Everyone deals with the emotions around it all very differently though so do what works for you :)

Hopingforno2in2024 · 10/10/2024 10:39

Also I genuinely don't think I could continue to take medication after seeing a negative. I hate the medication so much that stopping it does provide some consolation after a negative test and I stopped taking it the moment I got my negative last time.

TallGirlProblems · 10/10/2024 12:02

I tested the trigger out my last 2 times and I have been trigger free usually around day 4 the latest. @Hopingforno2in2024 yes, I agree. Usually if I am negative on day 10, I just stop taking it.

I really hope we all get the positive result. Not long til we find out now xx

How is everyone doing in their TWW?

I’m finding it so so tough. I’ve very little symptoms which is triggering me massively. Well I have abdominal cramps like a dull sort of pain and yesterday my CM was milky. This morning I caved and tested at 4dp5dt and it was a BFN …I know it’s soooo early but couldn’t help myself

pumpkinspicewaffles · 13/10/2024 13:52

@Sineadttc I did the same thing and had the same result 😭 I know it’s early but really discouraged as my last transfer was positive at 5dpt- although this transfer wasn’t until 5pm so I guess that would make a difference too?

I am finding the extra progesterone injections I’ve started are making me feel pretty awful, but no “symptoms” as such.. didn’t have any last time either though as an encouragement and that went well!

Wonderwall1988 · 13/10/2024 14:19

I'm finding it sooo tough too. It’s taking all my willpower not to test today. I’m 5dp5dt and not really any symptoms. I sometimes think I feel a bit nauseous but then it goes straight away so I know it’s just in my head. I feel if I can get through today without testing, I think il be able to hold out til odt as I have a really busy week so hoping that takes my mind off it. Sending lots of hugs to you all and hoping for a bfp for everyone over the next week 🤞🤞🤞🤞
@Sineadttc @pumpkinspicewaffles
it’s still super early, hang in there xxx

Hopingforno2in2024 · 13/10/2024 14:42

Am 5dp5dt and am not tempted to test yet. One week until test day, I found the last few days the hardest last time. I also have a busy week so hoping that keeps me nicely distracted.

Sineadttc · 13/10/2024 17:10

@Hopingforno2in2024 & @Wonderwall1988 you guys have great will power. Wish I had it. I find the TWW literally so hard on my mental health. Going down rabbit holes on TikTok seeing when people got their BFP 🙈 ..don’t know why I do it to myself. Big hugs to you both for this week.

@pumpkinspicewaffles it is so hard isn’t it!! Will you test again tomorrow? I’ve just been using the easy @ home test strips for now but tempted to go and buy a different brand this evening.

LLKB2287 · 13/10/2024 17:14

Hey guys, I’m currently in my tww! Transfer was on the 7th. I had a frozen transfer. I’ve been testing my ovitrelle out as I had to take this 3 times 8 clicks each time. I am now day 6 since transfer and my lines got stronger today. How’s everyone else doing? I’m hoping it’s worked but very early days.

pumpkinspicewaffles · 13/10/2024 21:42

That’s exciting @LLKB2287 ! I hope it continues to darken for you.

@Sineadttc I only had one leftover test from 4 years ago (hoping that contributed to it being negative 😓) so I’ve ordered some more but can’t test again yet!

Sineadttc · 14/10/2024 08:28

Still a BFN negative for me this morning at 5DP5DT. Not going to test now for another two days but just feel like I’m out the transfer again.

Hopingforno2in2024 · 14/10/2024 08:30

Although some people get a BFP at 5dp5dt it isn't unusual for it to appear slightly later so you aren't out yet @Sineadttc. Definitely a good plan to leave it a little while :)

LLKB2287 · 14/10/2024 11:33

@pumpkinspicewaffles thank you so much, it has gotten darker and this morning I had light pink spotting when I wiped. So hoping this is implantation.

@Sineadttc this is still very early, I would try at 7dpt and see what the test says. Good luck xx

Sineadttc · 14/10/2024 13:07

@LLKB2287 congratulations on your BFP!!! All positive signs for you.

My OH is really getting down about it this time. We are due to get married next June so if this was positive we would have moved the wedding. We said this was our last time but now he is looking to go again. Our embryos that we have transferred are all grade A but we haven’t had any PGT-A test done on them. We will meet with our doctor before we decide next steps.

LLKB2287 · 14/10/2024 13:10

@Sineadttc I have been here before unfortunately and miscarried each time, so I’m not getting too excited just yet.

if you don’t mind me asking how old are you? As I know if you’re young they won’t test embryos. I tested mine this time, had 7 day 5 and 4 of which were normal.

i hope you get your positive test, if not don’t give up please. Do you have any immune issues?

Hopingforno2in2024 · 14/10/2024 13:14

Congrats on your BFP @LLKB2287 and keeping everything crossed for you that this one is sticky.

It is such a hard aspect of this that we can't get excited for so long. I am managing my emotions in this tww by being completely flat about it all and assuming it won't work which DH is finding a bit strange I think.

LLKB2287 · 14/10/2024 13:17

@Hopingforno2in2024 have you tested yet? How far into the 2ww wait are you?

im keeping everything crossed for you, its such a hard journey to be on.

Sineadttc · 14/10/2024 13:17

@LLKB2287 oh sorry to hear that!! Fingers crossed though that this is the one!!

We had 1 cycle and were lucky enough to get 5 grade A and 2 grade C embryos. I’m 33 and my OH is 43 so he is panicking about being an older dad, which I totally get.

my OH had a vasectomy reversal done so this is what led us to IVF but I’ve never actually fell pregnant before so I have no idea if there is anything up on my side.
I do have autoimmune disorders like eczema and alopecia so I’m wondering could this be a factor that may cause implantation failure. However our doctor just says it’s down to the embryo and not the uterine environment which I find very strange.

LLKB2287 · 14/10/2024 13:20

@Sineadttc your autoimmune does certainly have an impact on implantation and miscarriage, I should know it’s the causes of mine. I’ve gone to Spain in the end and I’m on an immune protocol which England never did. I would look into the following things if this does not work.

thyroid - TSH, T4, TPO
Lupus anticoagulant blood test
endometriosis
NK Killer cells
receptive test for embryo

LT103 · 14/10/2024 13:23

Joining a little late to the game if that’s ok.

had ivf back in 2022 which gave us 7 embryos. First was unsuccessful but second resulted in my little boy. We’re now back to attempt another transfer. Had first scan this morning and all looking good for transfer early next week. It’s modified natural so don’t know date yet. My last transfer was a full natural with no meds. This one has a trigger shot and progesterone so we’ll see how that goes.

Sineadttc · 14/10/2024 13:26

@LLKB2287 oh this is soooo helpful!! Thank you for sharing!!!

i was scheduled for a laparoscopy to check for endo as I suffer with bad periods and I cancelled to go for ivf treatment instead. Eejit!!!
I said to my OH today I think we should get that rescheduled before we do anything else.
I had my thyroid levels checked prior to this cycle and everything came back good.
I live in N.I but I have a feeling the docs won’t entertain an immune protocol.
where in Spain are you if you don’t mind me asking?
