Hello!

I was just wondering if anyone else was doing ivf in September and fancied some company? We’re starting our first round next week! I’m also happy to join existing threads if anyone knows of any on here? As ever, sending baby dust and the best of vibes to one and all ☺️💫✨❤️

Have you opted for a unmedicated FET? @DaisyTee 🙃

Yes, I had a medicated FET in my 2nd round. This third round ended up a freeze-all so opted for natural just to try something different. I thought I would still have pessaries but consultant said if you're going natural may as well do it fully! I've been going through IVF for almost a year so it's a welcome break from medication, setting alarms and side effects. So far I would recommend it!

I am just back from my embryo transfer, we got to see the little embryo 🥹.
The procedure was straightforward but I find it hard to realise that I know have an embryo inside of me! I am now part of the TWW club, I already can’t wait to test and it’s only been a couple of hours.

The clinic managed to get 2 blastocyst out of our 3 fertilised eggs, which is great. However they don’t use the standard classification so I am a bit lost on what grade they were but I have been told the one transferred is an expanded blastocyst 1.1, and the other one that is going to be frozen is a full blastocyst 1.1. Has anyone else used this classification?

@YellowTack best of luck! Sounds great to have got 2 embryos out of the 3, like really good odds! Cant help you on the grading tho it's all very confusing to me! You're pregnant until proven otherwise 🙏

YellowTack · 18/09/2024 17:07

So I caved in and called the clinic again because I wanted to understand the grading. I am glad I did because I was under the impression that the embryo they transferred this morning was a 5AA because they were so positive, but it’s in fact a 4AA. That’s still great so I am not worried but it’s good to know. The other one that they froze is also 4AA and surprise, the third one made a come back and is a 3AB.

I still can’t believe our 3 fertilised eggs made it to blastocyst, so just a reminder to all my fellow low-AMH ladies, we can defy the odds and have great results even with a small number of eggs!

Good luck in Prague @teampacey !!

Congratulations @GreyJoker and @Daniki 😁 very exciting! I hope everything continues to go well for you both 🤞 I'm still holding out on testing atm

@YellowTack I'm glad your ET went well and 3/3 is fab news!! You must be so pleased 😁 have you got any plans to keep you distracted in your TWW?

SlinkMcSlink · 18/09/2024 17:47

@DaisyTee I hope it goes okay! What date have you been told you can test? It will be good to have someone else at the same point in their cycle.

SlinkMcSlink · 18/09/2024 17:49

@YellowTack Exciting! When are you testing?

YellowTack · 18/09/2024 19:12

@Painty04 I have few plans with friends who don’t know we are doing IVF so at least I will be distracted discussing something else! I have taken tomorrow off work but honestly I think going back to work will help keeping me occupied! Do you know when you will test?

@SlinkMcSlink the clinic have said we should test on the 30st of September but we have agreed with my husband that we will test on the 27th which will be 9 days post transfer. It has helped to decide on a date beforehand so it’s a little earlier than the clinic date but not too early.

@teampacey good luck in Prague 💪🏼

Painty04 · 18/09/2024 19:31

@YellowTack it's good that you've got some nice plans coming up and in a way it'll be a healthy respite to discuss other, non IVF, things 😂 I certainly know it's all I can think about when not with others!

I'm not sure when I'll test. I'm excited but also scared to, as silly as that might sound. We've been TTC for years and I convince myself every month, this will be the month, but I've never once had a single positive result. Right now I'm in the weird in-between trying to keep a positive mindset, not symptom spot as I don't trust it's not all progesterone side effects, and also keep myself grounded about the whole situation and reality.

OTD is Monday 23rd, so I think sensibly I should test Sunday morning so I at least have the day to absorb how I feel, one way or the other, ahead of talking to the clinic

Daniki · 18/09/2024 19:50

@Painty04 iv everything crossed for you this is your time! 🙏 is this your first transfer?

@YellowTack good on you for ringing back I tried to Google afterwards what the grading meant and I couldn't find anything, if I was you my head would have been wrecked! You got great results btw on your blasts 🥰

Just pondering. Is anyone on a frozen cycle and panicking that their frozen embryo won’t make it through the defrosting stage? I’m worrying about that now.

Hey, I had my transfer today and had two transferred from frozen, both C grade so not the strongest, and they both thawed fine. The percentage of thawing is over 90% they told me. So I’m sure you’ll be just fine. Hope that helps x

Painty04 · 19/09/2024 06:31

Thank you @Daniki yes this is my first transfer 🤞

DaisyTee · 19/09/2024 07:42

No OTD yet @SlinkMcSlink think it’s been 11 or 12 days previously. Although my period would be due on 29th - 8 days later so going to ask about that.

Hi everyone. I’ve been having a little read through of everyone’s stories. So sad to read it has not been successful for some of you. Sending hugs and strength. Don’t give up - you WILL get there.

Congratulations to those who have a positive test so far and fingers crossed for everyone still waiting.

I am currently 3dp5dt and going out of my mind. This was our 8th transfer. I am blessed to have a beautiful little girl from the last fresh cycle after 7 years of icsi. We thought we would give it one last go. I am 38. We had 11 eggs collected and 2 made it to blastocyst and so had a 4aa and a 3bc transferred on Monday. The cycle we had my daughter we had a 3cc and a morula transferred and both implanted but we lost one.

I am going out of my mind. Normally I’m a chronic tester. And I should have shares in first response. But normally my heart breaks when I see that white blank screen. And this time I’m trying to hold out because that way I still have hope for longer? But I desperately want to test.

hope you are all feeling as well as can be and taking it easy on yourself. This is by far one of the hardest journeys anyone has to go on. Sending sticky dust to us all ❤️💙

The wait is awful isn’t it! I’m finding it a little easier than last time, trying to keep busy with other things and not end up down rabbit holes online like I did last time. You are two days ahead of me, I’m only 1 day post transfer, I also had a double transfer. When you had your daughter, did the other one not implant? Or if it did, what stage was it lost? If you don’t mind me asking. Sending lots of sticky dust back to you 💖

yeah I’m down the rabbit warren. Of course I don’t mind you asking anything. The other did implant so saw heartbeats of both at first ivf scan but by the second we only had 1. Not sure how many weeks along. Perhaps 8/9? X

Di0123 · 19/09/2024 12:36

I will try but it’s so hard!! Thank you. I saw you had a positive ❤️ that is amazing news ❤️ congratulations to you. How are you feeling? How many dpt are you now? Did you have 1 or 2 put back? X

Daniki · 19/09/2024 14:48

@Di0123 I had one put in, I'm 6dp5dt. I actually had a tiny speck of brown spotting when I went to toilet there and iv a sore lower back so now I'm fearing the worst. 😩 it's my first go of ICSI too so not really sure of what to expect and had thought maybe I was lucky getting a positive first time! 🙃🙈

Di0123 · 19/09/2024 19:56

Try not to worry. Easier said than done I know but a lot of people get implantation bleeding. I hope it is that for you. Are you on progesterone?
i have had full period before test day before and my progesterone needed upping. I’m in 3 pessary and 1 lubion injection.

Daniki · 19/09/2024 20:14

I'm on 2 lubion & 2 pessary also! Took another test there and I don't know if much darker but all tests seem the same 🙈 had some pink spotting there so god knows, have to try and keep myself calm

You’re on quite a lot too so I would think it would keep period at bay until you stop taking. Yes try to stay as calm as you can. Hoping so much for you that everything is ok x

Daniki · 19/09/2024 20:39

Thank you @Di0123 🙏 and I hope this transfer works out for you and you keep the will power to avoid testing earlier! Don't be me 😂❤️

MrsBP15 · 20/09/2024 08:24

Congratulations @Daniki and @GreyJoker potentially all very exciting for you!

@teampacey i hope all is going well in Prague and you’re managing to get some down time?

Hope you’re keeping busy in tww @YellowTack v exciting for you, sending positive vibes your way.

sorry if I’ve missed anyone off there, it’s hard to keep track but I’m thinking of you all!

I have had the all clear with OHSS having gone into the hospital twice this week for tests. I think the sickness and abdominal pain were my adenomyosis flaring up rather than ohss but who knows. In the mean time the clinic confirmed yesterday that we have 14 embryos in the freezer. I literally can’t believe it, never in my wildest dreams did I think it would go this well. I am feeling extremely lucky and blessed as I know not everyone has such a good outcome but I know this is just one hurdle of many. I will be commencing a medicated cycle when my period comes so most likely looking at November transfer. Just waiting for the dreaded withdrawal bleed though my periods are seriously heavy and painful so I should be able to handle it…

Wow @MrsBP15 that's absolutely amazing!!!!

Prague is so unbelievably beautiful and peaceful, I love it here! We did lots of exploring yesterday and had a great time.

We have been to the clinic this morning for a scan and I have 9 follicles all measuring over 11/12mm. I am back for another scan on Monday and hopefully collection on Wednesday. I am feeling quite tired and bloated today so we will be chilling and I think going to a pool for a swim.

Hope everyone else is doing ok?
