Starting a new thread for those now on a freeze all from May and any others x

@Gnatalie16
@EvaA17
@Seasidegirll

Hope you're all feeling ok post EC. 💕
Has anyone had any idea of timescale when the withdrawal bleed will be and how many periods before the FET cycle?

@Sunnydaysahead1 I have sent you a PM I hope you don't mind (so as not to clog up the thread!)

I am sorry to hear about your failed transfer, we had one too, it is so deflating. 4 embryos is great though, we have 4 left now also!

Kp121 · 18/07/2024 18:18

Hello everyone. Hope it’s ok to join
Currently on my injections and estrogen for my FET with my scan on 26th July.
My transfer looks likely for first week of August so really I should be in the August group but I couldn’t see one.
Starting progesterone pessaries after my scan. Are most people doing them vaginally or rectally?

Faith2024 · 18/07/2024 22:26

Welcome @Kp121. Not long to go now. I am doing progesterone rectally as I have to do the progynova at the same time so that goes the other way. The joys…

I am finding lubion makes injection site swell and there is soreness for a while after. But swelling fades after a few hours. Still finding the inhixa a pain, no bleeding but the pain is suprising after 3 cycles of stims which were a breeze. I will try to icing tomorrow.

Kp121 · 19/07/2024 07:18

Thanks @Faith2024 I think I’m going to try the rectal route. On some of the other chats that sounds to be the preferred option. 😂it’s all just so glamorous isn’t it.

I had inhixa after my egg collection and they were nippy. The nurse warned me but they were definitely the worst of my jags. The site always itched a bit as well. How long are you on them for?

SamVan · 19/07/2024 09:49

@Indigopantha congrats on you two good embryos! My modified natural just used an hcg shot, no estrogen or progesterone so it’s a different protocol. I’m a bit worried about it as it’s harder to time than if you had estrogen and progesterone. In the Uk if you take estrogen (which shuts off your natural cycle) that’s referred to as a medicated cycle. It’s so confusing! But if you’re doing it in Spain it makes sense to do a medicated as it’s easier to time. When is your transfer scheduled?

@Sunnydaysahead1 ooh that’s so exciting good luck with your transfer!! It’ll be next Thursday won’t it? I have my first scan on Monday but don’t expect to trigger till Thursday or Friday next week. I’m worried as I’m not sure what the ivf last month has done to my cycle and whether I’ll ovulate normally this month. Did your clinic recommend a modified natural cycle? Mine wanted me to do a medicated as it’s easier timing wise but I insisted on a modified natural as I didn’t want to take so many meds, and my clinic is light on giving progesterone and testing for it so i felt it would be more risky to go medicated.

Indigopantha · 19/07/2024 10:44

Hi @SamVan we wanted as little meds as possible but having to plan flights etc this was as little meda as they could go with. Good luck with your scan on Monday! Our transfer is 25th July, so not long now! The day before @Sunnydaysahead1 transfer buddies!

we had a transfer in May that was unsuccessful. when I came off all the meds I had a really tough time.. intense hot flashes multiple times every hr, migraines, depressed and not sleeping.. (at least I have an idea what to expect at menopause now! 🥵 ) it lasted pretty much right up until starting the estrogen for the next transfer. I don’t know if this is common or anyone else had this? but my second period was delayed by over 40 days.. so they didn’t wait for it to arrive and I went straight into the next transfer. not sure if anyone else had this experience?

Faith2024 · 19/07/2024 12:53

@Kp121 yeah I am hoping I can forget about this phase of life in the near future. I think inhixa is for 10- 12 weeks if I remember correctly? Then asprin during pregnancy i think. I have to double check there is just so much info I try to stay in the stage I am in or it gets overwhelming. Transfer is on Monday so I am excited about that.

Kp121 · 19/07/2024 13:01

@Faith2024 Possibly depends on your protocol. I only had it for a couple of weeks after my egg collection and no one has mentioned it for after transfer.

Hope you have a lovely calm weekend. Best of luck for transfer on Monday

SamVan · 19/07/2024 23:17

@Indigopantha that makes total sense! How exciting that yours is on the 25th!! Not long to go now at all. I’m sorry your transfer in May wasn’t successful but hope this one works! It’s stressful that even with a blastocyst our chance each transfer are about 50/50. Here’s hoping it works for all of us soon!

Gnatalie16 · 20/07/2024 22:29

Hi All, I have been on this group since the beginning and so good to see lots of new people! And so many from previous groups I was on now pregnant!
We had our EC in May but having to wait till now to have FET due me getting OHSS. We have 11 embryos and this is our first transfer so feeling excited but also a lot of pressure. I am just waiting on my period to start due in the next couple of days and then I will be joining on the oestrogen and inhixa. I've been told I may need to have inhixa through to the end of pregnancy if it works due to having high blood pressure which isn't great as I didn't like them the first time around 😅 never wished a period to start like this one 😂

SideEyeMoon · 21/07/2024 08:06

I'm currently sitting on bench near my clinic waiting to see if any of my embryos made it to day 5. It's so nerve wracking!!
The clinic said if none made it they would call me at 8am. It's now 8.05. But I think until it gets to at least 8.15 I won't relax! I'm to be at the clinic for transfer at 8.30.
(If i do get the dreaded "nothing made it" call we've planned a day out in London with lots of drinks and good food!) 😁

EvaA17 · 21/07/2024 08:20

Hi all,

Welcome to all the new people! So much happening here. I just read everyone's history and about each journey and always in awe about what we all have had to go through. Infertility and IVF is no easy feat and every single person's journey is so inspirational and reminds me of how strong we all are (apologies, in a bit of a reflective mood this morning).

@Seasidegirll I hope your transfer went well on Thursday. How exciting!! I hope you're doing okay.
And for everyone who has their scan for FET prep or lining scans this week- good luck!!!
For everyone having their transfer this week, good luck as well. I really hope it goes well for everyone.

I'm on day 4 of the cyclogest pessaries and it's not pleasant at all, especially in this heat. Sorry for TMI but the mess and the leakage is not nice at all!! I have my transfer tomorrow afternoon so I am excited and nervous. I then have a few days off work to just relax and unwind a bit and take on zero stress! Anyone else having their transfer tomorrow?

EvaA17 · 21/07/2024 08:21

@SideEyeMoon good luck!! I hope the clinic have called with good news! Got everything crossed for you. I hope the transfer goes smoothly and if it doesn't go as planned - it sounds like you have a lovely day planned in London. 🤍

Seasidegirll · 21/07/2024 08:45

Ah good luck @EvaA17!! I hope everything goes really well. My transfer went super smoothly, our little embryo thawed really well and the grading of it actually got better so that’s good 🤞🏻 just a long old wait now to find out if it’s worked! Yeah the cyclogest isn’t the best, I’ve been doing them rectally so haven’t had too much leakages. I’m also now
on lubion injections twice a day, my progesterone levels were checked on transfer day and they came back a little low so they clinic wanted me to add in so more to boost up my levels!

Seasidegirll · 21/07/2024 08:46

@SideEyeMoon good luck! I hope everything goes really well for you 🤞🏻

SideEyeMoon · 21/07/2024 09:29

Thanks everyone! Just had a 4BB transferred! So we shall see what happens!

Goldpanther · 21/07/2024 12:34

It's so good reading through this thread and seeing where everyone else is in their journey. I'm still stuck in the 2ww, currently 8dp5dt and my clinic wants me to wait til Friday to test.

The bloating and constipation has come back with a vengeance, and the only advice I've been given is eat more fibre, did anyone else have bad bloating from the cyclogest?

EvaA17 · 21/07/2024 12:43

@Seasidegirll ahh this makes me so happy for you! So so pleased. When is your OTD?
Hopefully the lubion injections go well and it will all be worth it in the end.
I didn't realise they do bloods before the transfer, my clinic haven't done that for me or mentioned it at all. Let's see how tomorrow goes.

@SideEyeMoon ahh so pleased! Now rest up and keep yourself occupied for the 2ww!

EvaA17 · 21/07/2024 12:48

@Goldpanther not long to go to test! Have you tested at all since the transfer or holding out till the OTD?

So I'm getting crazy bloated and gas (TMI) with the cyclogest. Haven't experienced constipation but I know one of my friends is experiencing regular bowel movements since using cyclogest. I think it does impact on the gut and bowels. I'm also getting some lower back pain like my period is about to start but I'm doing my transfer tomorrow. Has anyone experienced that?

SamVan · 21/07/2024 17:50

@Seasidegirll @SideEyeMoon good luck with the tww and upcoming tests!! What an exciting time.

@EvaA17 i haven’t had a transfer before but definitely had gastro symptoms after using progesterone for an iui. It gave me the runs the whole time. It’s why I’ve chosen to do a natural modified fet as I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do progesterone for so long. I was told gastro symptoms are very normal with progesterone but not heard about lower back pain. Hope you feel better soon!

Gnatalie16 · 21/07/2024 22:09

Need some advice, my period has literally just started should I take tomorrow as my first day or today? And start taking the oestrogen? Help pleaseeeee

Faith2024 · 21/07/2024 22:20

@Gnatalie16 if it is after 1pmy clinic counts the following day as day 1. So anything in the evening would be the following day.

Indigopantha · 21/07/2024 22:23

@Gnatalie16 i had the same thing and was worried too. My clinic told it’s okay to start the next morning, to make sure I was fully bleeding and not just spotting. they said as long as I started in the first 48hrs of bleeding it was all good.

Maybe send a message to your clinic or call tmrw morning to confirm? Good luck!

Indigopantha · 21/07/2024 22:25

@SideEyeMoon thats really exciting! ✨ Now the TWW, I hope you have lots to keep you occupied so the time goes quickly!

Gnatalie16 · 21/07/2024 22:32

@Faith2024 @Indigopantha thank you that's really helpful I will wait till tomorrow then. I have to call them in the morning anyway to tell them my period has started. I'm excited and nervous at the same time 😬
