Has anyone had any idea of timescale when the withdrawal bleed will be and how many periods before the FET cycle?

How's everyone getting on in the wait to scans 😩mine is a week tomorrow and I feel so anxious today I'm considering booking an earlier one for this week. Has anyone got experience of a scan at 6/6.5 weeks? Is it worth it or is it just likely to add to my anxiety? I also don't seem to have many symptoms. Sore boobs but not really feeling nauseas so that's also worrying me!

My scan is Friday! Time has been going so slowly.

I'm telling myself that everything is fine and okay. I know if I started to worry I would be reassured by a scan and would probably end up in an anxious cycle of needing one a week!!
I asked my clinic about an earlier one and they said that at 6 weeks there's a chance the scan won't show anything, so best to wait til 8 weeks when you can hear a heartbeat and actually see something.

Hope your week goes well, have you got anything nice planned you can focus on looking forward to?

Mine is a week on Thursday so a day after yours.
In theory I'd love an earlier one (especially as I've had very light spotting almost every day since 3dpt) but I know it won't do me any good. I had an early scan for a previous pregnancy at 6 weeks and it was measuring smaller. So it didn't help at all as that early it could go either way. So waiting another 2 weeks for a rescan was worse than if I'd have just waited one extra week to start with and have a clearer answer.
So for that reason I'm just plodding along and counting the days until next week. I've also stopped testing to check line darkness as that was getting silly this far along.
I'm trying to just tell myself what will be will be and to wait it out.
I also have no real symptoms other than sore boobs and that could even just be the progesterone pessaries. But last I checked my line tests were dye stealers and I got a 3+ on a digital. So yeah. Just waiting and waiting now.

@Mfiwife I completely get the anxiety, it is such a tough wait to first scan. Personally I'd try and hold out as long as possible before a scan as the anxiety if you can't see a heartbeat would be worse than the not knowing for me.

@Goldpanther yeah that's so true, I don't want to get in that cycle of constantly needing scans! Not long to go for you now! Let us know how you get on!

it really is just such a long wait isn't it@SideEyeMoon I also have stopped testing after I got my really dark test because I don't want the anxiety of comparing every day! just over another week to wait!

Sorry - my cold and the move over the weekend just got the best of me! Still feeling quite rough!

@Becky105 and @LeoStar24 congrats on your BFPs!!! Amazing!!! So happy for you both.

Also my clinic gave me a scan for 30th August and that was just too long of a wait for me, so I've booked one in for this Sunday at a private clinic. Il be 6.5 weeks by then so hopefully it'll show me something and give me some reassurance.
I did two tests on Tuesday, I had a dye stealer and the other said 3+ weeks. I've experienced some cramping yesterday and today, but now I've just seen some brown spotting when I've been to the loo. Getting worried & really trying not to overthink. 😭

It's so worrying isn't it. I've had the odd tiny bit of spotting here and there since my positive but it's always been very very light pink/brown. Then yesterday i had quite a lot of mild-ish cramps and felt like I was about to start my period any second. Had that heavy feeling. Then I had a couple of streaks of dark red blood when wiping and to be honest I thought it was over. But i turned brown within an hour and then stopped within 2 hours. Cramping stopped as well. Nothing ever made it on to my pad.
Still getting dye stealers and feel mildly nauseous.
My scan with my clinic is on Thursday. Think I'll just ride it out until then and hope for the best.

I just did a FRER and is this a dye stealer or is the control line on wrong side?

I would imagine that's a good old dye stealer! I've never seen one with the control on the wrong side. I mean it could be possible, but I think dye stealer is more likely! This is what my dye stealer looked like previously!

@SideEyeMoon ahh honestly the anxiety can be too much sometimes and all the symptoms you've just explained - when you look online it says it's normal but then others say it can be the start of something sinister. So it's like what do you even take from that? I ended up going to my local UTC after a call with 111, they wanted me to be seen. Long story short, it was a horrid experience. I ended up rearranging my private scan for today instead of Sunday, and thankfully little one is doing good and we saw the little flickering heart and everything is going well.

The anxiety doesn't go though, and I know I'll still have worries even up to my next scan. I really want to enjoy this experience but I feel like the struggles over the years and going through IVF has taken some of that away. But I am so grateful at the same time so I really need to worry less and enjoy every moment!

@LeoStar24 same scan date as me 😊!!! It feels such a long way off. I looked up early scans, private hcg blood tests but then I have moments of thinking, it's too early and if there's anything wrong, there's nothing I can do about it.

@EvaA17@SideEyeMoon@SideEyeMoon I've just been to the toilet and there was a 50 pence size amount of fresh blood in my knickers and more when I wiped. I don't know how much blood is considered spotting. I'm just trying not to cry or freak out but just really scared that this is not good news. Is there any way that I'll know?

I didn't have blood but it was very light pink when I wiped so hoping that'll be it!

It didn't get worse, it stopped but I had very conflicting advice from the NHS 111 gp who called and said it sounds like a miscarriage... Then the A&E gp who said nothing to worry about. So I'm booked into my epu at 3pm today for a scan. Fingers crossed

@Becky105 I'm glad it didn't get worse! But very frustrating and worrying to hear different things from our medical professionals!

Thought I would post on here as I know some of us were on the May group when we had our EC. I had my FET on 9th August and today is my OTD and I got my BFP! These groups have been amazing when I haven't had anyone else to ask the daft questions to and have people who understand the craziness IVF brings!

Gosh, May seems so long ago now, I remember when we had the EC in May and the thought of FET was so disheartening coz of our OHSS symptoms! Look where we are now. Everything happens for a reason xx

I'm not too bad at the moment just super sore boobs and occasional nausea but everyone has been telling me wait till 8 weeks that's when it all gets interesting 😂 but I will take it all if it means I get the little baby at the end!

I'm out guys. Had my scan today and she can only see the possibility of a sac so I've been referred urgently to EPU in case of ectopic. I don't think it is though. I just don't think it's developed. I've been through this before though so I know what I'm doing at least.

Hi @LeoStar24 , I spent all week worrying but I had an early scan with my clinic today and saw the tiny baby and heartbeat. It was measuring spot on at 6 weeks and 6 days. I'm relieved for now but can't relax into believing everything will be OK.

@SideEyeMoon how did your scan go? I'm so sorry to hear your news.

@Becky105 oh Thank Goodness! I am so so happy for you!

I have my scan next Tuesday, a lot of bloating and next week I will find out if there are one or two! 😬
