Welcome to anyone who wants to join me for their May FET! My transfer date is actually 30/04 but the TWW and test day will be in May so thought I’d see if I could find some buddies! The April thread is very full so thought it would be good to start fresh!

Look forward to chatting to you all through the madness and hearing your insights😀

Hey there, I tested today and it’s a BFP. Feeling very grateful and hoping that everything sticks. 🤞

And @SETTC87 OMG congratulations 🎊 on your BFPs!

The TWW is a whole other ball game. My head is turned!

TorrentialHighSeas · 24/05/2024 06:32

@kirstysmbc @Rainbowsunshine81 The line is much more faint today so I’m thinking a chemical possibly. Booooooo. Waiting and seeing. OTD tomorrow.

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/05/2024 07:45

@TorrentialHighSeas I really hope that its not. I have everything crossed for you ❤️

Fruitypineapple · 24/05/2024 10:11

Hope everyone is doing well :)
I’ve just had my LH surge, CD12 which is early as I normally get it around CD14. Transfer is next Wednesday💕

Natty2 · 24/05/2024 10:40

@TorrentialHighSeas @SETTC87 congratulations on your bfp!

@Fruitypineapple that's exciting! I did think yours might be soon with your follicle at 16 the other day! Mine is only measuring 11 at the moment so I think I'm a little way off still, but only CD10. Good luck for next week! Will you start your progesterone soon?

SETTC87 · 24/05/2024 11:52

Rainbowsunshine81 · 23/05/2024 11:51

@SETTC87 congratulations on your bfp ❤️ did you have a intralipid-infusion before transfer? I had a intralipid-infusion before my frozen embryo transfer and had my transfer last Friday. My test date is the 29th. If I have a positive test, I'll have more intraplids every 4 weeks until 12 weeks. Did you have a nk cell blood test? I did and the CD3 was higher than it should have been.

Thank you to everyone for all their kind well wishes - let's just hope this is the one that sticks and things continue to progress well!!

@TorrentialHighSeas - congratulations to you too, faint line or otherwise you're still in it!

@Rainbowsunshine81 So I had 3x intralipid infusions in the run up to my FET - each spaced around 2 weeks apart. The final one of these was the week before my FET. Following my BFP, I've now had another one and am due to have another two by 12 weeks which I think is similar to your protocol too. I did have NK cell testing and my levels came back as over double the "normal" amount so I think my Doctor has taken quite a "kitchen sink" approach hence having had so many infusions before my FET! I am also on Prednisolone - are you? Is this the first time you're going down the immunology protocol route then?

Have everything crossed for you as you approach the 29th and I hope you have lots of things planned to keep your mind busy and distracted while you wait!

@Sherr33 - In terms of staying active, this time around (and maybe because this is FET #5 for me now!) - I've probably been more active than others. Though I took the day of the transfer off work and had a bit of a Netlflix afternoon once I'd come back from my clinic and acupuncture appointments etc, that was it and I had a family wedding two days later that weekend which meant it was all quite a busy few days being up on my feet etc and various other events related to it over the weekend.

I'm normally quite sporty - Spinning and HIIT classes etc every week and I'm feeling a bit cautious and anxious about getting back into that again (I've not done any exercise since my FET). I've done a fair amount of reading up though and think I may try a light-ish low impact exercise class next week and as I build my confidence and combat my anxiety - I may go back to Spinning again. We shall see!

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/05/2024 12:09

@SETTC87 my consultant suggested I have the nk cell blood test done due to my history and that particular one came back as high and that can put you at risk of things going wrong, I'm really glad I did have that done and so I'm really hoping by having these intraplids will make it OK. I've just had the one intraplids and that was a couple of days before my transfer. I think it will be 4 weeks apart if I get my positive test up until 12 weeks.

I'm not on predislone, still on the progynova, Cyclogest and aspirin. Yes, this is the first time I'm on a immunology protocol. Did you have symptoms after having your transfer and prior to the bfp?

Trying to keep busy, taking trips out and about, my son is on half term after today, so will probably do some things with him to keep me distracted.

kerrym87 · 24/05/2024 13:18

@Sherr33 i had blood thinners (injection) if you get a good pinch and just go straight in its very easy. Oestrogen is fine better than on a fresh, no side effects . Started progesterone yesterday for transfer 28th, only issue I get with them is constipation! Plenty of fibre and fluids for me

Sherr33 · 24/05/2024 13:31

@kerrym87 im the opposite ive found had more issues starting with FET than fresh cycle. On fresh it was just the down reg tablets that caused me issues but everything else was okay. Progesterone the standard constipation bloat etc but in terms of moods and anything major it was okay. This time I'm all over since the prostap injection! I've been sat on toilet few times all teary and just wanting to stop

Fruitypineapple · 24/05/2024 18:31

@Natty2 No, I’m not taking progesterone. Are you? My consultant talked me out it. Sounds like you’re not far off :) x

kerrym87 · 24/05/2024 19:54

@Sherr33 I'm so sorry about that. I was worried about that with prostap but didn't have that at all. Take just one day at a time, it's OK to feel like this. I have to keep on top of relaxation and meditation each day to keep my anxiety under control. It's so unpredictable this journey and the meds x

Ohwow2022 · 25/05/2024 07:04

Morning all, I'm struggling at the moment. 3dp5dt keep wanting to test, but I know it's far too early! I'm not sure how I can last to test day (3 June). tbh my period will be due next weekend, so if it comes, then it is obviously over.
What's everyone doing for relaxation ? I'd a friend visit yesterday, which helped. How is everyone ? I'm on progynova and cycloyest, I'm tired all the time! This is our 3rd transfer, 1st transfer we'd a baby boy & our 2nd ended in 8 week mmc. I'm so scared this won't work, we've only 1 more frozen embryo.

GoldenRetriever1 · 25/05/2024 07:14

@Ohwow2022 I feel you. My test day is on the same day.. and I have short cycles, so my period is due Tuesday 🥴 We’ve gone to Snowdonia for the weekend to try and take my mind off it/relax.. but I’ve been worrying all night due to lack of symptoms. This is our second transfer for #1.. and there’s a lot of pressure on this because 4 close friends have just announced their pregnancies.
I guess the only thing we can do is distraction. Nothing we do or don’t do now will change the outcomes. Been reading a lot about suffering lately - if we constantly worry/feel terrible thinking about the negative outcome, we are making ourselves suffer twice if it goes wrong. Easier said than done, but we just have to surrender. Really hope it works out for you. Sending love x you’re not alone

kirstysmbc · 25/05/2024 07:21

@Ohwow2022 @GoldenRetriever1 My test day is the same, and not had any symptoms either. This is transfer number 6 for me, and I've always had an accurate response by day 5, albeit very faint lines when positive, so I'll prob try a test tomorrow and keep going from there. I don't have the patience to wait until OTD and prefer to know and prepare myself.

I really like your thinking @GoldenRetriever1 - nothing we can do can change now, and the bit about suffering twice. Sending strength and patience to you both

GoldenRetriever1 · 25/05/2024 07:30

@kirstysmbc Really wishing you all the best. My PMS symptoms month to month vary anyway.. last month, sore boobs by now, this FET, nothing at all.. so it’s going to be hard to tell. I’m on 2 x Cyclogest a day, praying it’s enough. My fresh transfer I started bleeding the day my period was due.. but my body was so swollen from the egg collection. No way did that embryo want to settle in that environment 😅 My nurse said she was surprised the clinic persisted with the transfer (I’m a bit annoyed about that). Anyway, do some breath meditations.. it really does help with nerves. 🙏🏼

Ohwow2022 · 25/05/2024 07:44

@GoldenRetriever1 omg that's exactly what I needed to hear. You're so right! Thank you so much. I hope you're doing ok. I totally understand with the announcements. Just look after you!!

@kirstysmbc when was your transfer?

What's your views on symptoms, I think it's maybe tad early to feel too many symptoms?

We've a night away at my inlaws which will be a good distraction. I live in NI so we'll be heading to the coast too. I'm back to work so that'll help too, just hope it isn't too stressful!

Sorry if I haven't picked everything up on my reply.

My transfer was on Wednesday too. It's great that you have some things planned to keep you busy - getting to the coast sounds lovely!

BebeBelle · 25/05/2024 08:24

Good morning all,

I also transferred on Wednesday but was given 2nd June as OTD.

@Ohwow2022, it's really difficult having to wait. Glad you had a distraction with your friend. So sorry about the mmc.

I'm on 3 cyclogest a day and 1 Lubion. I have one failed transfer - not absorbing progesterone, and one abandoned cycle.

@GoldenRetriever1, Snowdonia sounds lovely. Have a lovely time and thanks for sharing info about double suffering.

@kirstysmbc sorry to hear you've been through this 6 times. I haven't experienced a positive test feeling yet and I'm hoping that this on sticks.

Hope we all get the BFP FlowersSmileSmile

Ohwow2022 · 25/05/2024 08:39

@BebeBelle yea I don't think I'll last to the 3rd June tbh. Feeling quite drained and having to show face is hard when so much else going on.

Hopefully symptoms start over next few days.

TorrentialHighSeas · 25/05/2024 20:54

@Ohwow2022 I’m currently in the NI coast as we speak!! I grew up here but now live in England. Hope you treated yourself to a wee ice cream!

Ah we were on benone beach this afternoon beside the hotbox if you know it. Imagine if we'd passed each other! How are you?

Only a day between us so.
My FET is Thursday the 30th. Anyone any advice on things to do to improve chances?
I'm doing accupuncture

DauntedAF · 25/05/2024 23:39

Also has anyone any experience or advice re interlipids? My clinic never mentioned it but I see a few of ye are getting them

What's the point of them and how often are ye getting them? My FET id Thursday. Have I missed the boat ?

Hey @DauntedAF. Intralipids (administered as a drip) are typically one of the treatments used as part of an immune suppressing protocol for people who have tested "positive" for immunological problems impacting fertility. It's still a fairly emerging area of fertility treatment with many clinics refusing to entertain it. I had to change clinics before I could meaningfully explore this area. It's usually looked into after recurring early miscarriage or implantation failure following euploid transfers.

I have also done acupuncture before all my transfers (bar one) and if nothing else it certainly helps with keeping me relaxed and allowing myself a period of uninterrupted calm on what can be a very anxious day!

Good luck with next week's transfer 🤞🏾

Also not sure if you're doing a natural cycle or not, but if not probably worth insisting your clinic checks your progesterone levels the day before your transfer so that's there's the opportunity for them to make adjustments and up your meds etc if levels aren't as high as ideal pre-transfer! My Doctor also suggested taking at least 2000iu of Vitamin D supplements as well. I've always taken Vit D supplements anyway and there's also Vit D in my prenatal, but after he'd checked my levels, it seems I wasn't absorbing as much as he'd like during this period (it was still high but not high enough for him lol) so I upped my dose!
