Just made my ‘Day One’ call to the clinic this week to set the ball rolling this will be my second cycle, first one failed on 12th Feb 2024.

Bit of background to how we got here, I have had 4 ectopics since Nov 2020 2 resulting in emergency surgery and losing both my tubes. No reason why our first cycle failed, we will be doing IVF/ICSI this time round.

feeling bloated and my boobs are killing me but ok otherwise

@lemonyfox i think I’ve been pretty lucky. Norethisterone was horrific. Sick, bloated, emotional, generally achey and low.
ovaleap and ovamex have been ok.
my trigger is decapeptyl which you mix as well.
very lucky I didn’t have the nose sprays. I’ve heard they aren’t pleasant

just feeling very bloated and uncomfortable. A heavy abdomen and chest. But if it gets me one step closer. I’ll take it

@Kp1210 yes I have,I do a lot of manual handling at work and wanted to give this the best chance of working so I'm off at the minute. My manager wasn't very flexible about being office based during this time.

Wow @lemonyfox and@Kp1210 that's loads. I really can't wait for my Wednesday scan now, the not knowing how many follicles we have growing is annoying me a bit now... I'm impatient 😊

Has anyone else done any acupuncture? I had one session last round and felt so relaxed and sleepy afterwards. This time I was a little bit underwhelmed. And at £95 a pop for 40 mins today - but will be 30 mins going forward, I don't know if it is worth it. I swear I only had about 8 needles stuck in me. Is that what it's normally like?

@lemonyfox and @Kp1210 that’s lots of follicles I can’t imagine how you much be feeling I only had them few and I was so uncomfortable!!

My partner had another wobble today but we didn’t end at A&E I handled it abit better but it’s just so scary! It seems to be on both days when we’ve had good news about embryos!! 🤣
@Hopingtobe4 ours are graded abit different, we have
3 that are top quality
5 good
1 average
2 slow
but things can change at day 5 but she said we should definitely have some to freeze. Our transfer if booked for 12:30 Wednesday!

@Becky105 i had a couple of round of acupuncture and I did feel good but then I did loads of reading and asked my clinic and they said there was no reason to suggest it would work better but it’s obviously good to keep you relaxed. I was relaxed whilst in there but then the anxiety came back after it haha so I couldn’t justify it. I felt like exercise really helped me chill throughout the months leading up to it and I did it up until my stims. But do what you think is best!!

@Becky105 i haven’t done acupuncture but have heard a lot of people swear by it. Hopefully other people can share their experiences because I would be interested to know.
I was the same waiting for my scan today. It was the longest weekend

@Lp96 sorry to hear about your partner having another turn! Is he feeling better now?

@lemonyfox good luck for the trigger tonight! All of my jabs have been mixing ones so far and the trigger isn’t! They are fine though, worse in your head.

@Lp96 great numbers that have fertilised! How is your husband doing? Must have been so scary and stressful, poor you! Hope you are both doing ok!

Your embryos seem to be doing great

Mine is a NHS round so my phone calls and updates are very brief lol. Everyone is lovely and helpful but the info is scarce ! I'm NHS myself so I know how tight everything is.

I'm just so grateful to be in this position and hoping everything is OK on Wednesday.

Yeah he is we didn’t go to hospital yesterday so that’s progress. I think he might just be blood pressure and the shock of the pain he is in.
We are with NHS too! The nurses have been so amazing!! I feel so grateful too, next is the two week wait which is going to be long!!! Luckily I’m off work for the whole time.
Good luck tomorrow keeping everything crossed!!

@HopefulllHolly @Kp1210 yeah hes feeling better today just needs to stay on his feet today and save me from the huge amount of anxiety I have been having!!

Off for the 2 week wait too,my partner has taken 3 days annual leave so we will do a few nice things and I'll have my son the days his grandparents usually have him so trying my.best to keep busy! Have you much planned to keep you busy ? I'm.hoping to make it to the test day without giving in 🙏

Very uncomfortable today at work but nearly there

@Hopingtobe4 yes EC tomorrow, finally! Morbidly curious about the process so I'm excited but apprehensive at the same time.

@Kp1210 ah no I'm sorry, they are fiddly. I squirted my needle a bit too far to get the air bubble out and wasted a tiny bit. I've been worrying about it since then though in case the dosage was too badly affected!

Yayyy well done @lemonyfox and @Kp1210 you’ve passed the first hurdle and are one step closer than you were yesterday! 😊 Huge positive thoughts for you both tomorrow.

I’ve noticed one side effect from my injections which is very weird to me is that I’ve become VERY emotional. Like I cried twice at Married at First Sight Australia (don’t judge I love crap tv when I get ready for work 🤣). I am not a crier at all so this feels very weird to cry for no reason! Other than that I still feel good and have been in a good mood.

@lemonyfox don’t worry about the tiny bit coming out, it’ll be fine! I did that with most of my injections.

@HopefulllHolly no judgement here. I love a bit of MAFS in the background.
It’s tricky with all the hormones.
I cried last week because my dog looked at me and I felt like he looked sad because they aren’t allowed on the sofa. Then the dogs eyes got a bit watery and I was hysterical.
Like you I’m not a crier so it’s a bit of an adjustment but mine did settle so hopefully you will too

@Kp1210 Haha I’m glad I’m not alone with the random crying! Id be the same with my dog too though if it helps! 🤣 Mines being annoying today though, my friend sent me a present for the next couple of weeks and he thinks it’s his (small man sausage dog syndrome 🤣)

@HopefulllHolly and@Kp1210 i haven't been overly tearful but I did get the hump the other evening because my partner wanted to go to meet her friend and ask her to be bridesmaid... I wasn't feeling up to it and felt very annoyed that she should just know that I'd think it was unfair and feel left out 😂😂😂 I'm not usually fussed by stuff like that and could hear that I sounded a bit crazy... But couldn't help myself

We are all just a hormonal bubbling wreck haha.

I was much worse on the norethisterone. That made me ANGRY. And I’m not a moody or angry person

why can’t our partners, husbands, significant others not just read out minds. Would be so much easier
