Just made my ‘Day One’ call to the clinic this week to set the ball rolling this will be my second cycle, first one failed on 12th Feb 2024.

Bit of background to how we got here, I have had 4 ectopics since Nov 2020 2 resulting in emergency surgery and losing both my tubes. No reason why our first cycle failed, we will be doing IVF/ICSI this time round.

Anyone joining me in the April emotional rollercoaster? X

Awww congrats @Lp96 you’re due a couple of weeks before me ☺️ going to be such a special Christmas! And with a huge bump too! I bet I’ll be the same at our scan. I really hope it’s ok. It consumes all your thoughts. Keep us posted with how you get on at your 9 week scan - so nice they said they’d do it for you! I have a private scan place down the road so it’s going to be very tempting not to just walk down there 🤣🤣 Good luck with it! So pleased for you!

So pleased to see everyone’s good news and positive tests!!
we are going for our “bloods to assess” on 1st July, so hopefully get started on our frozen transfer then.
it’s been such a long wait!

@Kp1210 Oh bless you that is a long wait! I hope it’s all positive and you can move forward. Once it’s started it flies by at least! ☺️ Keep us updated with how you get on if you can.

That’s what I’m hoping, the few weeks of medication fly by. Just need to trudge through the next month and then it’s here 👏🏻

@HopefulllHolly my luteal phase is always 10 days. I got my peak ovulation today out of nowhere so I should be having my next clinic appointment for FET meds on 6th or 10th June now, depends if it starts before or during that weekend.

Honestly the IVF waiting game is the worst!

@Kp1210 did you mention they were putting you on norithisterone beforehand or did I make that up? If so how are you finding it?

@lemonyfox yup norethisterone for 10 days. I hate it. It makes me feel horrific but it’s a means to an end.

@lemonyfox dying to get going on next cycle after a very late ovulation!! Had a few down days as the extra week felt like forever 😂😭 how are you?

@Sierra26 yeah I can imagine, I have long cycles anyway so I didn't feel too bad. I was worrying about having something daft like a 50 day cycle or something though but luckily not!

Honestly I've really enjoyed not thinking about it for a few weeks tbh. But now I keep thinking about transfer time and I'm getting a nervous belly! Excited to give the first transfer a try and see what happens 🤞🏻

@lemonyfox i felt the same for first 2 weeks after collection (relief at having part of it over and not having to worry) but quickly turned back in to impatience and frustration 😂

@Sierra26 all the waiting is so annoying isn't it! Have you got your appointment yet for FET meds? My clinic wouldn't let me book in advance, only to ring once my period starts.

@lemonyfox yep I had my appt last week, next step is to call them when my period starts to book in first lining scan for day 8ish.

Will start gonal f to supress and estrogen for lining on day 1 too. Once lining reaches right thickness I’ll swap the gonal f for progesterone and transfer 5 days after that. Estrogen and progesterone continues until 12wks or negative test.

I got the prescription for the meds last week but still have to go back to collect them as I didn’t have time to wait in an hour long hospital pharmacy queue!

Do you have to start taking anything on day 1?

hope your all doing well I haven’t been on much since starting this thread but 2nd cycle we got BFP (x4) on the 24/05

Got our first scan on the 13th, anybody else that’s been here found that the wait for the scan is worse than the 2WW?

I have had 4 ectopics previously so the wait to know if everything is as should be is driving me insane.

overthinking every little twinge and cramp and trying to work out if something is real or in your head! 🤯 just had to phone clinic as at work this morning had some very light very dark spotting. Very lucky that one of my best friends works in my department.

I knew after previous failed attempts that we were never going to have a ‘normal’ or simple start but the not knowing is next level

@Vian67 Awww congrats! I’ve started a thread for any BFPs waiting for their scan as it truly is the worst wait!! Come and join! I’m 6+5 today and have my scan on Thursday, it’s dragged so badly especially as I tested positive really early. It’s so hard just going off positive tests and any minor symptoms that may or may not be down to progesterone drugs!

@Sierra26 so sorry I realised I never replied! I think I'll be on those progynova tablets (if that's how you spell it) but my clinic seem a bit "meh" about whether I start on day 1 or just sometime around day 1-4. I assume it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Still waiting for my period to start, it's due Fri/Sat so I'm still hoping for a clinic appointment for Monday...

@Natty2 fingers crossed for you! Hope you're feeling ok and not too anxious

I'm still feeling pretty rubbish. I had a couple of days where I was feeling a bit better but it was just to build up my hopes apparently! 11 weeks today - scan is on the 17th so just trying to keep calm now until that. Time is crawling by

@lemonyfox will you be suppressing ovulation too? Or timing transfer with natural ovulation?
