Just made my ‘Day One’ call to the clinic this week to set the ball rolling this will be my second cycle, first one failed on 12th Feb 2024.

Bit of background to how we got here, I have had 4 ectopics since Nov 2020 2 resulting in emergency surgery and losing both my tubes. No reason why our first cycle failed, we will be doing IVF/ICSI this time round.

Anyone joining me in the April emotional rollercoaster? X

@Lucylaughing aww I've been thinking of you all day, I'm sorry it wasn't better news.

I had a migraine yesterday and as a teacher of 5 and 6 year olds, that was not fun. I got really nauseous and started gagging (but that is sometimes typical for me with a migraine). Other than that I've been ok.

I start my additional injection tomorrow. Fyremadel, which I didn't have last time and apparently I can do it in my thigh.

It's lovely hearing all your egg counts, it makes me excited for my scan on Wednesday to see how my ovaries are doing.

It was a combination of the high follicle count, very high oestrogen and they managed to get 24 eggs, so high risk of OHSS
But equally my first round was a freeze all with 14 eggs because of high progesterone levels day before EC so it can happen at anytime!
Have they confirmed freeze all for you?

@Natty2 yes theyve confirmed freeze all.

Due to my numbers they felt i was high risk and wont even consider a fresh transfer.
The other clinic we enquired with said if there were no signs of OHSS they could try fresh transfer so a tiny bit sad at having the definite wait but it’s not worth taking the risk.

have any of you tried or considered doing a 2 embryo transfer

Hey I've had the embryologist on the phone this morning,all 6 fertilised and survived overnight so we are happy about that. Next update is Monday. Feeling a lot better today and got out a short walk there.

Morning everyone hope you’re all good today.

Ive done 4 injections now and starting to worry they aren’t working. I don’t feel anything or any different at all! Am I being ridiculous? 😅

anything until day 7
scans confirmed that they were working though so try not to panic.

Hi @HopefulllHolly no you're not being ridiculous. I think it really depends on your personal body's reaction and the specific drugs that you're on. I don't think I had half of the issues last time I just started to get a kind of constipated feeling towards egg collection had felt great other than that, just maybe a bit tired too. This time is completely different drugs and there's been lots more side effects.

I think I'm finding it a bit more strange this time because in my last cycle I didn't feel any side effects but I was going in for regular scans and being told, yep it's all working. This time I can feel the toll on my body but no scan until day 10, so I'm left hoping it's all worth it cos I have no idea what my ovaries are up to.

I definitely feel a bit tired but I always do when I’m on my period, and I cried for no reason yesterday but again I do get PMS. I don’t have a scan until day 10 either @Becky105 which I thought was strange but Care said they don’t scan before 9/10 anyway. But it’s not helping my sanity wondering if it’s working.
I do have a feel little pains and backache actually today, like before I start my period so maybe I should shut up and not complain because I don’t want to be in pain anyway! 🤣🤣

Aw everyone reacts so different,I read a lot of People only feel it when laying down in bed /trying to move. You do have a long wait to your scan but every protocol is different try not and worry,you are following the professionals tried and tested treatment plan

I’m feeling very bloated today, a little short of breath and need to pee more often than normal. Completely lost my appetite too but that’s no bad thing, I’ve gained a couple pounds between norethisterone and the stims

Really hoping that tomorrows scan says that im ready to trigger and move onto the next stage.

Hope everyone has had a peaceful weekend and that any phone calls tomorrow are good updates with good numbers and healthy embryos

@HopefulllHolly didn’t feel anything either but I was taking medication orally on a much lower dose. I wouldn’t worry as all our bodies are different.

@Kp1210 I stopped norethisterone yesterday, weighed myself and I’ve put on a couple of pounds as well! Now on the countdown to my period starting.

I hope everyone’s phone calls/appointments go well tomorrow.

@HopefulllHolly i felt nothing (other than mild headaches at night), was even cycling to my appts, until today. CD9 and day 7 of stims. Feel very tired today like a hangover and my bladder definitely has less space! Bloating and sharp/achey pains in my ovaries that get worse if I’m moving around too quickly.

feel like I definitely need to take it easy now!

@Hopingtobe4 aw amazing!! We got phone call there was 15 mature eggs and 11 of them have fertilised. Sorry for late reply, my partner passed out yesterday and was rushed to hospital i had to put him in recovery position as he was shaking and unconscious it was such an awful day. Spent all day in A&E yesterday and he got kept in as there was an abnormal rhythm in his heart. Here still but hoping to get discharged soon. All this was going on and the clinic were trying to ring and tell us results it was so stressful.
So so happy with results though. Hoping tomorrow goes ok too how are you feeling?

@Kp1210 yes we are just anxious now waiting for the call tomorrow hopefully some of them make it. Is there normally a big drop on day 3?

@Lp96 it’s my first round so I can’t advise on numbers but hopefully other people can.
From my extensive googling 🙈it appears there is normally a bit of a drop

My ovaleap pen didn’t have enough doseage left
tonight either (don’t know why because the others have all been fine). 10ml short but I don’t have any spare.

Wow that must have been so scary and the last thing either of you needed. How is he now?

I'm a bit nervous about tomorrow just hoping at least 1 has made it through from yesterday to tomorrow 🙏🙏 we are getting rang In the morning to let us know if transfer is in the afternoon or day 5. Well obviously firstly finding out if they made it to day 3.

Wee update all the embryos are still there. Said at this stage you'd want to see 5 cells,I've 2 with 8,3 with 7 and 1 with 4. So likely the 4 won't make it to Wednesday. Transfer booked for Wednesday afternoon. Can't believe how quick this process is going.

Hi everyone just checking in again.

@Kp1210 I think we're pretty similar! I've got PCOS and high AMH (54), had my day 11 scan today and my trigger shot is tonight, EC Weds. I've been on Ovaleap 150 and I've got about 43 follicles growing atm and I'm so bloated and uncomfortable. 24 of them are between 16-20mm currently with one monster follicle at 26mm currently 😭 we're doing a freeze all too given the numbers, I was initially sad but what's an extra 6-8 weeks given how long we've all been waiting at this point lol.

@Hopingtobe4 great news on the 8 and 7’s. How are you feeling?

@lemonyfox had my final scan this morning and just waiting for it to be confirmed but looks like trigger tonight and collection Wednesday as well!
They measured 68 follicles for me today and decided not to measure the rest of the little ones.
31 of mine are 16-20mm so pretty similar.
26mm is big!

Today is the first day I don't have any bloating from the egg collection,slight cramps after taken my progesterone pessary but very mild.

I'm happy about how the embryos are turning out,I was nervous about them not getting to my other ovary so my number being quite low at collection. But I'm excited now that I'm msking it to day 5 🤗**

68, blimey!! Are you sore? I'm excited about it tbh, my trigger is Zivafert and I'm a bit baffled at the water and mixing part. Ovaleap has been too easy and I've gotten complacent lol. I did down reg on the Synarel spray and I'm doing my last one this evening, I'm SO HAPPY to see the end of that because it's given me terrible headaches and low moods. How about you?

@Hopingtobe4 uncomfortable! Heavy, bloated and low level pain with the occasional stabbing pains. But it's all for a good reason, so it's good 😊 thank you for asking though, how are you feeling?
