Just made my ‘Day One’ call to the clinic this week to set the ball rolling this will be my second cycle, first one failed on 12th Feb 2024.

Bit of background to how we got here, I have had 4 ectopics since Nov 2020 2 resulting in emergency surgery and losing both my tubes. No reason why our first cycle failed, we will be doing IVF/ICSI this time round.

Anyone joining me in the April emotional rollercoaster? X

@Hopingtobe4 we have a donor on back up as a) they might not find it even with the operation
b) it might not be good to use
so I think regardless tomorrow depending on how many eggs we are going to do a few eggs with donor and then a few eggs with my partners.

I’ve read loads about pomegranate and pineapple not sure if they work haha. I was being so good before all the treatment like gyming and eating healthy but since starting injections I’ve just been eating whatever and not been able to do any exercise I feel awful and fat.

@Kp1210 i feel ok to be honest felt nice not having to take any injections this morning. Just ready for tomorrow now.

I've done a lot of googling and now I'm pretty much just hoping for a conclusive result tomorrow so at least the waiting will be over. I can't find anywhere saying a HCG rise of 20-ish% in 48 hours will be viable. Hoping to avoid it dragging on / being ectopic.

Hi just catching up with everyone. @Kp1210 I'm so bloated now I'll be glad to have the collection done.

Have to be at the clinic at 7am,collection at 9.30. We live 2 hours from the clinic so the 3 of us are in a hotel near by it now!

@Lp96 hope everything goes ok tomorrow. I read about the pineapple too,my partner did thst I juiced it up every morning so think I'll do that too.

I was the same I haven't barely moved since starting everything!

@Lucylaughing it must be so hard, especially just being in a horrible limbo land. Hope tomorrow gives you the answers and that if you aren’t that you can start on with your next go as soon as you feel ready to.

I’m all good thanks. Counting down the minutes until I can do my second injection. I must be weird enjoying them but it just feels like each day I’m marking one step closer and actually doing something, rather than just waiting around.

Thanks @HopefulllHolly I'm home having a lay down. Only got 6 eggs,they couldn't get to my right ovary at all,said to close to the bowel.

Hoping now that even one makes it to transfer 🙏🙏

managed to get 16 eggs!! 🥹🥹 my partners operation went well but they didn’t find any sperm which we expected hence why w got donor on backup. Nothing that’s he’s done and there’s no explanation for it Jsut been born with it. Rubbish really but we are taking the positives and we are still hopefully going to be parents very soon!!

im having an ok day. Had a scan and I’ve got 46 follicles now but none big enough so I’m to continue over the weekend and rescan Monday. Had hoped to trigger tomorrow so it’s thrown my timings and days off work out. Nothing you can do though
also bizarrely all my bruising has come out today. Stomach covered in green and purple bruises which were not there yesterday

@Hopingtobe4 You definitely still have a chance, my friend only got 3 eggs and all 3 turned to blasts. All it takes is one! I only have 7 follicles total so I’ll probably get the same or less than you. Well done for getting through it! How did you find it? 🙂

@Lp96 Great news on your eggies! Sorry to hear about your partners nemo’s. That must be really hard for him. Hope he’s coping ok. Great he’s still up for donor sperm - good lad! You’re definitely in the running to be a mummy and daddy! ❤️

@Kp1210 did they tell you how big the eggs were currently? Hopefully some of them will be big enough. Bet you’re feeling bloated with all those eggs in there! Monday will roll around quickly with a weekend in the middle. 🙂

Ive started getting tummy ache and a terrible headache from my stims. Not bruised as yet (one of the holes from the needle looks like a mole so there’s a mark there but doesn’t look bad). I realised this morning that I have 5 days of these stims, then it goes to 2 stims, and then 2 stims and another injection in the morning which I had assumed was a tablet. So I’m going to be like a human pin cushion by the time I have collection 😅

Hi all. I've just had confirmed that HCG has only risen to 81 (Mon - 58 / Weds - 71). Chemical is 99% confirmed and just waiting now.

I have to go back on Weds next week to check HCG is back to 0 or at least dropping in case it is ectopic, but they don't think that's likely.

Hopefully I will also start feeling better although I still need the blood thinners for 2 weeks. Think we will start getting in touch with private clinics closer to home sooner rather than later, but probably need next week's results first.

@HopefulllHolly thanks, you're so kind. It's really been nothing like I expected. All the things I was worried about didn't happen, and all the things that have been bad news I wasn't really worried about before we started. It's been tough with all the ups and downs. I think we will be ok. I have concerns about the next cycle(s) but trying to wait and see what an expert says before worrying too much.

I got on OK,I am a bit sore because the consultant was trying to get the other ovary and apparently leaning on me ? But bar that I'm OK.

@Lp96 that's a lot of eggs wel done ! At least yous were prepared for your partners outcome and have the donor on stand by,hope all OK tonight and not in too much pain.

Hello ladies,

Did anyone have their day 5 scan and bloods today? Had mine and e2 level was 1264 which I'm worried is a bit high? I have 7/8 follicles around 9 - 11mm, the rest are much smaller so don't know if this is expected results. I'm worried about sky high e2 leading to ohss risk and no fresh transfer. Guess I'll have to wait and see on my day 8 scan on Monday.

@HopefulllHolly I’ve got 3 at 15mm, 3 at 13mm and 8 at 12mm. Then the rest are under that. Feeling very bloated today and need to pee all the time but the scan today confirmed my bladder is being squashed. Nothing I can’t handle and im
sure the weekend will fly by.

Hope you are both looking after yourselves and your OHSS symptoms have started to subside. I definitely was not prepared for the rollercoaster ride in my first round, it's such a tough process.

@Kp1210 so many follicles! I felt really uncomfortable with 44 last time so hope you are feeling ok! I found resting over the weekend, helped the follicles to get to the right size ready for trigger

@Mrsbutterfly24 my estrogen levels on day 6 were over 5000, and by EC it was over 40,000 so they cancelled my fresh transfer, I think your numbers seem ok at the moment!

@Natty2 were you a freeze all cycle with 44?

@Lucylaughing Be kind to yourself. I think it’s a huge positive it worked for you when you were panicking it wouldn’t at all. So you have that hope at least. Next time they will learn from it and make it better I’m sure. Will keep my eye out for you on here in the future - I’m sure I’ll have to do many cycles so I’m sure I’ll see you when you get your little rainbow baby. ❤️

@Hopingtobe4 Its quality not quantity, so stay positive. No it’s not cetrotide, it’s called ganirelix - it’s to stop ovulation. And then I’m on two stims also from day 6. The days are going so quickly on stims, it’s crazy!

@Mrsbutterfly24 i had my first monitoring scan today. Didn’t have blood taken though, wondering if I should be expecting that?!

I had 6 & 7 follicles, of which 2 are at 15mm. Started ganirelix today and continuing with gonal f until at least Monday.
