@Eggsellenté how are you getting on? Have you opted for any of the ad ons from care? Did you take norethisterone too? I am hating them. Honestly each day I feel so rotten so hard to explain

Oh so 2 more weeks of these horrible pills 🥺 I feel your pain... Soon I will be in the same boat, just hope no hives this time

180monkeys · 02/02/2024 09:48

@TT82 5 minutes is crazy but hopefully by that stage I’ll be a pro with the injections lol. I think my husband is going to try to do them but we’ll see how it does.

Sounds like we will be on similar timescales, I start northistherone for a week next Friday then break for a week (I assume I will have a period in this time?) then start injections on the 23rd Feb if everything falls in line.

I’m sorry you’re on your third round, have you had some transfers done before? Fingers crossed this round will be successful for you

Sherr33 · 02/02/2024 09:49

@TT82 I hope you don't. I didn't realise how bad I would feel. I've got cold sores, so gassy, headaches, tired and some nights I end up awake at daft o clock and can't go back to sleep. I havent slep well last night now I feel so horrible. There's no energy.

@180monkeys not unfortunately, as all 6 embryos were uneuploid (genetically abnormal) due to age..I soon will be 42.. This will be last one, I asked even to try to do fresh 3d transfer and if we get any 5d to test those..just like to feel I did at least one. But dr said I might be at risk of OHSS like last time, so no fresh. But I am hopeful

180monkeys · 02/02/2024 10:06

@TT82 I’m sorry to hear that but hopefully this will be your lucky cycle. We are not testing our embryos so won’t know any of that, we are with the NHS so I’m not sure if that is even something they offer.

I’m not sure if I will be able to do a fresh transfer either but really hoping I am. Have you had to wait long between EC and your frozen transfers?

Cat191 · 02/02/2024 11:10

Hi everyone sorry haven't been on in a while just feel so exhausted tbh and at night can't sleep keep waking up with night sweats @waitingforourmiracle I start stims on Tuesday can't wait hope there not as bad as the fematab @180monkeys on my plan they just said it doesn't matter if you do the stims morning or evening but to them around the same time every day 1hr before or after should be ok

180monkeys · 02/02/2024 11:44

@Cat191 hope your symptoms ease up soon - which stims are you starting?

thats good to hear about the stims timing, I will ask at my appointment next week but hopefully mine will be the same. On my plan it’s saying gonal f 8pm and cetrotide 7am but would suit me better if I could do both in the evening so will see what they say.

Eggsellenté · 02/02/2024 12:30

@180monkeys
The gonal f injection is not too bad actually. I was nervous about injecting myself and the pain, but luckily it is not painful, just a sharp scratch kinda feeling. i am using the gonal f prefilled pen and the needle is very short. Today is day 4 of injections and not feeling much side effects apart from a tiny bit bloated. Finger x'ed eggs are growing 😆 hope all goes well with your collection 🤞

Eggsellenté · 02/02/2024 12:34

@Sherr33 we didn't go for any ad ons and I wasnt put on Norhisterone. Was told to wait for AF to start and begin injections on day 2. Not an easy journey but Hope you start to feel better soon!!

waitingforourmiracle · 02/02/2024 13:53

@Cat191 hopefully you'll feel better!!

@Eggsellenté sounds similar to me! I'll do my first gonal f injection tonight, then first scan Monday (should be on day 6 which falls on Tuesday but apparently they don't so scans on a Tuesday)

I emailed my clinic this morning out of curiosity about my AMH level thinking maybe I'd been told and just missed it but turns out they didn't do a blood test for it as they could see everything they needed to from my scan, thought it was odd as most people on here know their level, I'll ask the question again on Monday at my scan

TT82 · 02/02/2024 14:18

@waitingforourmiracle could it be they saw a good follicle count, also if you are not over 40s they didn't need additional testing if AMH 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sherr33 · 02/02/2024 14:28

@waitingforourmiracle the AMH test was mentioned at my clinic and we were asked if i wanted to have it done i had to pay 80 quid extra for it. Otherwise they would have just gone by the standard blood work.

Cat191 · 02/02/2024 14:50

@180monkeys I will be on gonal f 450 and luveros 150 then I will add on cetroide 0.25... ya I hope so to can't stop crying all day tbh @Sherr33 that was cheap I had to pay 120 extra for mine

waitingforourmiracle · 02/02/2024 15:00

Ah I thought it was something everyone just had done as standard!! That makes more sense now then why I didn't know my level!

Cat191 · 02/02/2024 15:32

@waitingforourmiracle I had a low follicle count that's why I had it done

Sherr33 · 02/02/2024 16:18

@Cat191 wow. I didn't realise how much the price difference wasim certain clinics? When did you have yours done? I wonder if its because the prices have gone up for certain tests. But i know at start of 2022 when i had it done thats hoe much i paid.

@180monkeys i just wanted to know everything so even though they said i dont need to have it done. It would have bugged me if i hadnt.

OP posts:
Cat191 · 02/02/2024 16:22

@Sherr33 I got mine done April 2023 in beacon care fertility so the prices must have changed I think they can nearly ask you how much they want cos they know how much where desperate that we will give it

Eggsellenté · 02/02/2024 17:48

@waitingforourmiracle interesting. I felt like they were going to do an AMH test for me when I first started the process with my clinic but they didnt have to as I had already done an AMH test in the past via NHS and was less than a year ago, so that saved me a bit of money! I could be wrong, but I think your clinic is not wrong, the number and size of ur follicles etc. that they see during ur scans play a bigger role than AMH number.

Eljane34 · 03/02/2024 10:08

Hey all, sorry just catching up on all the messages, I'm sorry your all feeling rough on those tablets, sounds horrible!

@180monkeys Yeah this is my first round!
@waitingforourmiracle YESSSSS so happy you have finally come on!!! How are you feeling? I can't remember, are you starting stims straight away or are you taking tablets?

I am on my third day of stims (Pergoveris) and no side affects so far, feel excited and nervous. The actual injection part is way less scary once you have done it the first time. I got my partner to do it, which it took ages to build up the courage to actually let him near me with it, but i barely even felt it! I sit down, squeeze my belly fat, and then he injects, then I let go of my fat and then he takes the needle out. It doesn't 'ping' if you do that I find, its just a bit cringy and can bruise. We are injecting at 6pm everyday, and I have an app called Salve which sends my a notification when to do it too.

I am just looking up what the difference between Pergoveris and Gonal-f is.
Also trying to look up possible causes for multiple chemical pregnancies, as I have had 3 now (that I know of) and I am just trying to mentally prepare myself for any potential issues.

Hope everyone is doing something nice this weekend x

Cat191 · 03/02/2024 11:07

Hi everyone hope everyone is doing OK... I just realised that my 10 days of the fematab is up tomorrow they got my dates mixed up with my protocol now the clinic is closed so I rang the emergency number and I got talking to one of the nurses and she told me that I might be starting the stims on Monday instead of Tuesday but she will ring me back on Monday to let me know when she goes into the clinic it's just a bit of a mix up it's lucky I realised because Monday is bank holiday and the clinic is closed but there's a few working she told me so she has to check my file cos she has no access to my file at home

waitingforourmiracle · 03/02/2024 11:15

@Eljane34 finally 😂 straight into stims 💉 did my first injection last night and it was absolutely fine!! I wasn't worried about actually doing the injections but I did get abit overwhelmed before I did it but i hardly felt it.
This morning the only way I can describe how I'm feeling is abit like I've had 1 too many drinks, not rough but like I've had a drink 😂 got dry mouth which is weird! But I did have a really bad night sleep so that might just be because of that

@Cat191 ooh that's exciting that you're so close to starting! Good luck!!

Cat191 · 03/02/2024 11:25

@waitingforourmiracle thanks I'm excited and nervous at the same time... you sound excited it's nice to know where all nearly on our way

waitingforourmiracle · 03/02/2024 11:29

@Cat191 this app has been a life saver being able to talk to people at the same stage, I know a couple of girls who have had ivf but I sometimes feel abit like I don't want to peck their heads because they're through it now and on the other side. It's lovely to see them with their babies though, gives me so much hope!
