@Eljane34 i am sorry. I know exactly how this feels. Sending a huge hug. Can you find conpassion and kindness for your courage and effort? Xx

Bnichols89 · 27/02/2024 10:27

Sorry to hear that @Eljane34. It's so tough. I hope if this one doesn't work out then the next one is the one.

We just got our final results from embryology - 3 frozen in total, one 4BC and two 5BC. Not brilliant quality but at least we got a few. I'm going to step away from this thread now as my next phase probably won't be until April now.

I'm wishing all you ladies every success with your pregnancies and treatments to come. Maybe see some of you in a future FET thread! xx

@Bnichols89 that's great to have 3 frozen. Wishing all the best with the FET xx

Faith2024 · 27/02/2024 10:35

@Bnichols89 that’s good news younhave a couple. I will do the same because our FET won’t be until April/May. Best of luck to everyone on this journey.

waitingforourmiracle · 27/02/2024 14:11

I'm so sorry to hear that @Eljane34 it's so unfair, sending lots of love 💛

@Bnichols89 best of luck with you FET, might hear from you when it's transfer time as I'm going to be around the same time x

mt9m · 27/02/2024 15:27

@Bnichols89 that's great you have them frozen. Good luck for FET.

@Faith2024 this is my first IVF but I have PCOS so a high amount was expected, but this is bonkers.

I did my trigger shot wrong so I might've lost them all. A few days ago there were 21 follicles over 15 and I had one more Gonal F after that, so there should've been a lot more mature by collection tomorrow. They didn't explain how to use the trigger and I've never done it before and I did it wrong, so the consultant said they'll empty all 50+ follicles but they might not get any eggs at all. I'm heartbroken and furious at myself. I've found the extremely high estrogen to be very painful in my pelvis and back with inflammation. To know I've probably gone through all this for nothing is horrible. To top it off they said i'll have OHSS as i'm overstimulated. I was on 300 Gonal a day.

Sherr33 · 27/02/2024 17:56

Hi guys was wondering if there were any tips or advise you had come across or have for me for a possible embryo transfer etc pre and post transfer :)

OP posts:
TT82 · 27/02/2024 18:13

@mt9m why do you think you did it wrong ?? Maybe all is ok actually 🙏
When is EC? Oh overstimulation is tough, please take care of yourself 🥺

Lasagne30 · 27/02/2024 22:12

@Sherr33 How did you go with EC? Any problems recovering?
I've only had 1 transfer and it didn't take so no useful advice from me lol
When do you get transfer?

I am no expert but we did use embryo glue. Not sure your thoughts on that or if it’s an option with your clinic, lots of rest and no stress! I took the following days off work then it was the weekend, went back to work the mon (day 5) and tried (and failed lol) not to obsess over any potential symptoms.

Sherr33 · 28/02/2024 07:10

@Lasagne30 I think I jinxed myself. EC was Monday. Yesterday stomach was quite sore but I was very very bloated and hadn't had a bowel movement so I took some prunelax and its the worst decision I made because now my stomach is cramping and in knots ive gone from constipated to the runs!! I feel bunged up and just horrible.

@Btowngirl we opted for the embryo glu too made payment on the day of collection. What did you eat after transfer? Or even before? 😀

I’m completely out, confirmed BFN. Absolutely devastated. Going to take a step away from here for a while x

camelinastorm · 28/02/2024 07:32

@Eljane34 so sorry to hear this know exactly how you feel, it's the worst, so disheartening all this work and all this money for it not to work, my hubby went in to this last year thinking the success rates were super high due to he costings. We have had a fresh chemical and now a FET fail we are financially out of options 10k+ and nothing to show other than heartache.
Wish you all the best take time to process, I found out a few days ago, havey closing review tomorrow, and will move forward after that sending hugs 🫂

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 28/02/2024 10:08

I'm not sure if this is helpful to anyone, but for £10k you can use access fertility, it gets you 2 egg collections, and all transfers from those egg collections. It's a lot of money, as doesn't include drugs. But we got 2 egg collections, 2 fresh, and 3 frozen transfers plus all drugs for about £15k.... it's so much better than pay as you go, although the risk is if it works first time you pay £10k for 1 cycle.... so unfair a lot of this comes down to money :( x

wishinghard2 · 28/02/2024 10:57

@Eljane34 I am so sorry about your negative. It’s very emotional isn’t it. I hope your frozen ones will bring you a little bundle of joy in the future.

we have unfortunately called it today. The tests are still positive but they have gone fainter by the day and the digital week one is also declining instead of increasing showing the HCG leaving my body after the bleeds. It’s been a hard 2 year journey but these last 5+2 has had the highest and the lows. We have it one hell of a last good roll of the dice.

I wish all of you lovelies are successful in your journey. You have incredible patience and resilience. I keep my fingers crossed on hearing some happy outcomes in due course for you

Lasagne30 · 28/02/2024 11:10

@Eljane34 Do what you need to. Don't give up hope ❤️
@Sherr33 Oh no that's terrible! I had the worst time ever.
I forgot to mention that even though I hated it and didn't feel like it at all (I had NO appetite) my partner made me eat red meat-steak, eye fillet, what ever he could get in my gob! It helped sooooo much!
Especially with the constipation side of things!
Meat and gallons of water. That helped me.

Mymiraclebb · 28/02/2024 17:17

Hi,
Thank you for accepting into the chat. I do not communicate about my treatment with people around me and here is where I can find people in the same situation.
i have started my stimulation on Saturday 23/02 with 225 gonalf and did my first scan today. Only few follicles was growing. I got a call called from my clinic to increase the dose to 300 unit. Also my lining is already at 17. Did anyone had similar experience and got a good number of follicles. I am also worried about my lining too tick at this stage.

Sherr33 · 28/02/2024 19:22

Hi all. I had my egg collection in Monday and today I feel like my period is coming. Is that 3ven possible? And why am I getting all the signs that my period will be starting any day now 😩

OP posts:
MotherOfShihTzus · 28/02/2024 19:31

@Sherr33 have you started progesterone? That can affect how you feel; cramps, sore boobs, emotional. Also I had extremely painful cramps after, if that's one of the symptoms you mean?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 28/02/2024 21:02

Driving myself mad!!!! 4dp5dt, tested trigger out, and just kept testing. All negative! Came home today from work, this morning test has a faint but clear line (couldn't be seen this morning), tested tonight- negative! I've got really light pink spotting started in the last hour too.... what even is this???? I've had the worst headache for the last 3 days that just won't shift, I'm so fed up. I just need to know one way or the other, hanging between both is awful :( x

MotherOfShihTzus · 28/02/2024 22:20

Could be a late implanter @ExhaustedPigeon1988 !! Positive signs - everything crossed for you 🤞

I use the most sensitive tests, every time I've had a positive it's been by day 5, which is today- a very negative result today and defo period pains. I know I'm out, but will continues meds for another couple of days, can't wait for it to be over now so I can get back to me for a little while! Wish all you ladies the best and lots of positive tests :)

Sherr33 · 29/02/2024 08:25

@MotherOfShihTzus yes I am having all those and I don't know if its the pessary but my liner looks like it has something in it too. I mean is it even possible to be on my period 😩

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 im sorry and I definitely know what you mean by yourself again. Honestly since the start if this ive been a hermit and not even done any retail therapy which is so unlike me 🙃

Hi everyone, just to wanted to see how people felt after egg collection? I had mine on Tuesday and still in a lot of pain. So much so my stomach looks swollen and very sore to touch. I don’t have any other symptoms associated with OHSS so just wondered if this is how others have felt and when does it start to ease. Mine doesn’t seem to be easing at all. Thank you ☺️

MotherOfShihTzus · 29/02/2024 22:18

Hi @Hatitat88 I had a lot of pain after both egg collections - the first one in particular was debilitating for c. 3 days. I recovered enough for fresh transfer though - that one was successful. I too had no other ohss signs - just pain! I've since realised that a have a lot of internal inflammation, and believe that was the reason why. Hopefully you turn a corner soon. Where most ppl don't feel too much, it is still common to have significant pain unfortunately. If concerned, speak to your clinic x
