Im 33yrs old by the time my eggs are collected I'll be 34 😆
AMH = 17.9 all other parameters fine.
Partners S.A - test 1. Low morphology. test 2. Borderline everything
CARE Fertility add ons to be used - zymot and embryo glue

Starting northisterone on the 24th Jan
15/2 gonal f 225
20/02 Ganirelix joins in
23/02 scan
And potential egg collection 26/02

That's my plan 🙈
And this is our first cycle

@Sherr33 that's great news. What day of stims are you on? Do you know what size the follicles are? I have 17 on the right and feel relieved to know its working too. It's so difficult between scans when you don't know what's happening.

@180monkeys thank you 🙏 Yes we decided from the beginning we do PGTA, as I had 4 chemical pregnancies in 18m before, so just couldn't face more mc, also to save the time due to age. They also didn't advise but we pressed and now the opposite, I want to try 1 at least transfer but on the 2-3 day, not day 5, rest to test (if we have more), but they are like no, high risk of overstimulation syndrome etc. I tested 6 embryos and all uneuploid.
We moved to Switzerland, so doing here with the state hospital (but we pay as not covered by insurance), they are good in terms of procedures, testing etc, but communication just horrible. Yes, Czech Republic clinics amazing in terms of communication, coming back, explaining.. but we couldn't fit with our son's sports and my work full time to go and do cycles there unfortunately. But they all said nothing to change in my protocol and they would do the same, results were good in terms of eggs, ferilisation rates etc....just rubbish egg quality ☹️

@camelinastorm I am so so sorry, look after yourself, this is such a horrible process to go through and then end the way that it has for you. Sorry x

Wow 30! Have you had your EC already? How many eggs did you get? I'm on day 7 so I don't know how quickly more follicles can grow or that have mature eggs! I guess it only takes 1 good one :)

We've just had our day 5 update and out of the 11 fertilized only 1 has made it to blast and it's a poor quality at that 😢 I've come home from work to try get my head around it, they're going to see if anything else makes it to tomorrow but I'm not hopeful, after so many positive updates this has been such a blow. I know I'm not out yet but I'm so upset, truly is a roller coaster that no one wants to be on x

@waitingforourmiracle oh I fully understand it, had the same kast cycle: 14 mature, 11 fertilised and the next update I got was only 2 blastocysts of poor quality, and then confirmed uneuploid.. I think sometimes if tge numbers are low from the beginning would have been easier to accept than this drop off 😔
But if you are below 40 then high chance it is euploid, so the grading now doesn't mean anything. Don't give up hope at this stage 🙏

@Sherr33 congratulations that’s great, hopefully time will fly by for you until EC.

@Cloclo93 follicle count can vary by 30% month to month but 11 is really good. Sometimes having lots of eggs just means a bug drop off so hang in there!

@TT82 we are similar age. Also doing 3 cycles but embryo batching with PGT-A so we did 2 back to back and a break this month then we will try again the following month. We are trying for a second child and we already know 3 cycles is where we will draw the line regardless of the outcome (really hoping for success of course!!!). It takes the pressure off knowing there is an end point.

@Faith2024 wishing the best luck 🍀!!! My statistics are on the low range for our age, even my dr was really shocked and disappointed..said she expected a few with such good numbers. Yes, once we have come to the conclusion it is the last one, felt much better, like you lnow soon there's a stop. I have 2 kids, one with my DH (older is young adult now 🙈).
But we still keep other options of growing the family, including adoption, just both ways have their own complications..

@TT82 that’s wonderful. Fingers crossed for you too! All we can do is try our best, which this is. I have a low reserve so for me it’s always been about quality since I have no chance when it comes to quantity.

@waitingforourmiracle the wait for transfer was definitely the worst part of my last cycle. 11 mature eggs, only 1 fertilised normally. It made it to day 5 but was low quality and didn't implant. We were eligible for an NHS FET but never got to use it. I'm on day 5 of stims now and it's all 'going well' so far (24 follicles inc 10 decent size) but I'm absolutely dreading the post-EC drop off and the wait to see if we get anything to transfer or freeze.
Don't give up hope though! If your clinic is prepared to transfer the blast you have, you're in with a chance.

For some reason since my scan my left side has been aching me. During the scan it was the most uncomfortable side.

@mt9m good question erm im on day 9 I think I'm not sure of size as she just said they all good size and your ready for collection. I just hope most are good quality 🥚

A question for all. So we have been booked in for Egg Collection Monday morning. Me and partner did the deed last night but on the portal it says to try and abstain for 2-5 days. Had we not done it last night it would have been longer period between ejaculation. Have we just ruined the chance of a good sample :-/

We were like this too

Told on the Monday morning our egg collection was the Wednesday so we had sex that afternoon 🙈 phoned the clinic and they said it was fine. If we had left it it would have been like a week between last ejaculation and the sample on the Wednesday! Husbands sperm was fine

@Sherr33 did you have sex? We were told not allowed to have intercourse to make sure there was no sperm up there! My partner did the deed on the Friday and egg collection and sample was on Monday and was all fine

Such a rollercoaster for everyone, it's so hard getting the bad news, for those that are out- be it this cycle or permanently, I am sending my loads of love and best wishes, it's such a hard journey. For those who are still working through, keep your chin up ladies, we are stronger than we realise!

Well, our news for today, we made it to transfer :) 1 3CB transferred, and some amazing news, 3CB, 4CA, 4BB all frozen.... I'm feeling fairly optimistic that 1 of these will take, so even if today's transfer fails I will be doing completely natural cycles with the others and just praying one of them will be our future bubba :)

I hope everyone else is doing well, those waiting for EC or those already in the TWW.
I had a week to take it easy and eat mostly whatever I want (two take aways and a few deserts) but feeling like I am back to clean eating and preparing for the next stage from today. I am rebuying all my supplements today as well which makes me feel slightly productive.

Can I just ask what you took with you for egg collection?

I've been advised to bring a gown slippers wash bag etc

And anything I should stock up on at home that will help post collection?

Yep I have also enjoyed a relaxed week with food, we've eaten out, had naughty foods and lots of chocolate..... we have all earned a naughty week or 2! Will be back on healthy eating from tomorrow x

I took loads with me the first time, this time I literally took a panty liner, a water bottle, and some fridge raiders hahaha! Was in and out within 1.5 hours. Try not to overthink it- I get myself worked up every bloody time! As for at home anything with lots of electrolytes, and protein.... I enjoyed a cheeky glass of wine after EC too, I always do lol. Oh and of course chocolate haha... just whatever makes you happy. I do recommend prune juice and hot water bottles from boost too. Wishing you good numbers :) x

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 that sounds like a sound plan. I don’t bother with symptoms checking but I would also test as early as I could.

@Sherr33 my clinic provides slippers and a gown so I just took my own sanitary towels (didn’t need them in the end) and spare compfy outfit (didnt need it in the end). A hot water bottle at home helped me a lot. I relied less on painkillers. And lots of water and foods high in protein and fibre. Good luck for tomorrow!

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 , @Sherr33 I also have chocolates (a lot) and a glass if wine after EC 😅 I feel like my body needs them! Not sure it is on the doctor's recommended list lol

Haha, I happened to mention it while I was there this time, I got a stern look and told it's not recommended..... but you know something for 2 months I have behaved, and if it works it's gonna be another 9 months.... I am allowing myself some pleasure in between haha..... plus look at natural conceptions....
