This thread ended up being pretty quiet but just wanted to wish everyone success with future transfers and collections in 2024 and beyond.

So I have a really faint positive but also slight bleeding so probably not a sticky one

So hard to see the bottom one it was a very faint positive then the top was today slightly darker but still quite light. Has anyone had any positive outcomes with such light tests

Jumping in! Second IVF round, but first FET (failed fresh one earlier this year). Had FET transfer on 19th, test day on Sat.

Feels this one is failing - last time started heavy bleeding 3 days before the test date. Cramping started tonight, so not very hopeful but hoping for late Christmas miracle!

@LostIVF I had bleeding and had 2 positive tests yesterday today, still not convinced it's a sticky one but the clinic seems positive so all may be ok

@Nk11 bloods won't be until the 2nd due to holiday shut down unfortunately December is a strange month to do this as you have a lot of delays

@camelinastorm tell me about it I was hoping I could have a frozen transfer in January but I can't even get an appointment for the paperwork until the 9th so I'll miss the next cycle will have to wait until Feb. It's fine but it just feels like forever in this game. Keep doing the tests if it gives you some peace of mind got everything crossed for you that it has worked and was this from a day 3 transfer too? Brilliant if so.

@Nk11 yes so I went for day 3 with the strongest one, as if none made it to day 5 treatment is classed as complete, but 3 of the ones left made it to day 5 so was a good percentage from the 6 that fertilitised originally they have been frozen as were decent grades think it was 6bb 4ab and 3bb think it's so hard to remember things on the phone 😂

@camelinastorm Brilliant so you have the one transfer and then 3 more frozen? That's really good especially as they had you worried nothing might make it to day 5 and hopefully a good result from the transfer. Was this your first round as well? We've ended up with 10 frozen from this round which was a huge improvement on our first round last year. Just apprehensive over whether any will work its hard to get your hopes up isn't it.

@Nk11 yes first round, yes they have a cut off of how many are at day 3 I said it should go on a percentage of what you have originally as if the transfer has worked that's technically 4 that made it from the 5 at day 3.

Yes it's so hard to get your hopes up, you have a good amount froze so that's great news if this turns out not a sticky one I'll be joining you in Feb for a frozen transfer

Hi all, new here :) first IVF fresh transfer failed as got my period just before Xmas. Any one else for a transfer in Jan /Feb

Hello! My fresh transfer failed just before Christmas too. Started bleeding before OTD and was devastated so I hope you're doing okay!

We will probably be looking at another transfer in Feb. We have our follow up consultation on 9 Jan so will see what they say!

@HungryTruck @Ameliachp Oh guys I am so sorry to hear this. This was me last year I got my period on the 23rd December before my test date after my first transfer. It really sucks.

I had my second round before Christmas and a freeze all and I also have my next consultation on 9th Jan to sign paperwork for FET so I will be joining on too all being well.

Which clinics are you both with?

@Nk11 I'm sorry you went through it too. I think it's extra hard at Christmas, although I was grateful to have some time off work to come to terms with it all.

Good luck at your consultation! I am with Wessex in Southampton. How about you?

Wessex have been really kind and supportive so far, although I am going to ask about extra tests we can do before our next transfer so we will see how open they are to that. We are NHS funded for one more round, which might limit what they can offer, although we would be happy to pay for add ons. I have an autoimmune disease so always had a sneaking suspicion that is our issue and am keen to try some kind of immune protocol.

@HungryTruck We are with Care Manchester for the procedures and Yorkshire fertility for the consultations. This was our only NHS round so to get 10 frozen was great. They have both been very good up to now. Our treatment last year was with ABC ivf and it was not the best. Not somewhere I wanted to go with again and I'm pleased with how my current clinics have been really positive and open towards any of my questions or suggestions.

So because I had two failed transfers, my clinic were happy to add in lubion injections because I said I always bleed early so ? over progesterone levels, and also they have added in Tinzaparin blood thinners as they said sometimes you can have thicker blood that prevents implantation and they use it for people who have had early losses too. Maybe worth discussing if worthwhile adding at this stage. I asked whether I should have a lining biopsy before another transfer but they said I haven't really had a good embryo transferred yet and it would be £3k to do it. They said adding in these medications is probably just as good.

I'm not sure about auto immune tests was there something called natural killer cell testing but I don't know what they do to counteract that. I've started taking Wellgard probiotic supplements to try improve bacteria levels in case that was an issue but I haven't had any specific tests for it.

Yes last year I felt like I was completely alone because everyone who I had spoken to on forums had success so it was a double whammy, and I don't know anyone that is going through this. I don't think I realised how bad I took it straight away but I'm in a much better place now even though I still haven't had a positive test! Fingers crossed we all get there this next year.

Tested positive today, very weak line. Really unwell with flu (didn’t even remember it was test day, hubby had to drag me out of the bed this morning before he went to work!!). We are not getting our hopes up, as my cramping is also getting worse now.

Felt very strange to see positive. During 5 years of TTC we have had 1 natural pregnancy (miscarried in week 6,) and 1 failed fresh transfer - both took place this year. Really hope this one survives.

Great news on the faint positive, my first one was very faint, second slightly darker, third slightly darker and a clear blue digital said pregnant. I've got my early scan booked but same as you I just cannot get my hopes up until I have it fully confirmed, I've had on and off bleeds and slight cramps so 🤞 For my scan.

I'm out guys, unfortunately it wasn't a sticky one, roll on February for the next try. Crazy the cost of what we all go through for such crazy odds . If anyone else is moving to Feb I will see you over there

My paperwork appointment is Tuesday for FET so will probably be my Feb cycle as due on any day now.

Hi girls I’m I okay to join in? How’s everyone getting on now? We had fet transfer on 29th dec . Thankfully it’s worked but it’s still very early and I have had 2 chemicals from my last rounds so I’m very cautious still
