Hi @Quillandink . I am starting in January now as I missed the December cut off due to Christmas closure. I am glad now as I am just recovering from the worst flu and not sure how that would have impacted me.

Hi @Quillandink , thanks. It’s first IVF cycle for us. Starting down regulation mid Dec and hoping to do baseline scan end of month / early Jan with egg collection sometime around middle of Jan. If all goes to plan.

Hope everyone is good! I've never posted here before but I guess I'm looking for people who are on the same journey.

I've been going through IVF for nearly 5 years now and have not been successful. Went for egg collection 2 years ago and was lucky to be able to freeze a lot of embryos (one good thing of PCOS) so i understand how lucky i am for that 😊

I did a FET 10 days ago (my third one) and I've been experiencing a lot of cramping, just wondering if anyone else had that with a successful cycle?

I really struggled after the last unsuccessful FET and needed to take a long break for my mental health and finally worked up the strength to go again and I'm just constantly worrying for this cycle now.

@EmilyBee87 when have they told you to test ? Cramping can be a sign of all sorts

my clinic told to wait the 14 days before I can test, which is very difficult, so not supposed to test until Wednesday. I'm trying really hard not to test early.

I know it could just be the medication and progesterone injections causing it. It's just hard to stay positive when the cramps are very much like period cramping.

@EmilyBee87 oh wow that's quite a while after for testing, 🤞🤞 crossed for you.

I have my egg collection in the morning, the Dr said it looked like quite a few so hoping we get some good ones, transfer is booked for Saturday my tww will be over Xmas, not the best time as it's Christmas as usual at mine
Unable to disclose anything to the family, they are very set in their ways of if it's not ment to happen it's not ment to happen ... Ok when it's not happening to them eh

@camelinastorm thank you, its a long wait and I was very positive at the start but im not feeling confident now, I don't know why, just a feeling.

I'm sorry you're not getting family support, I'm sure that's an added stress level for you that you don't need. It's very easy to think like that when it's not impacting you, and all the "relax and it'll happen" "just don't stress" comments are super unhelpful.

I'm very lucky to have support, and I know a lot of people that have had to go through this process too. Unfortunately everyone else have been successful and its just not working for me, their just be positive pep talks I'm finding quite difficult now which is very selfish of me I'm sure.

Wishing you all the best for test day. Sorry I can't offer any advice regarding the cramping...I'm an IVF newbie. I had egg retrieval last week and still trying to process everything. 🙃 🤣

How are you feeling after the retrieval? Are you hoping to do a transfer right away or a FET later?

@EmilyBee87 have you got any nice festive plans to keep your mind distracted from testing? I admire your strength!! I get what you said about things working out for others.....it's tough 🤍

A fresh transfer was planned but aborted due to high estrogen levels and follicle count. I'm feeling OK, not great but not bad. How did you feel after the retrieval?

@Quillandink I'm not sure about my strength 😬 I was super positive at the start and now I'm starting to fall to pieces. Litreally just had a big meltdown.

I do have a lot planned for over Christmas which im regretting now! If I test negative on Wednesday I don't think I'll be able to go do all the socialising.

I'm sure cancelling the fresh transfer was disappointing? While it's probably really disappointing for you it's better to be safe, easy for me to say that though I know but i got OHSS (they wouldn't even entertain a fresh transfer as they guessed I'd get it) after mine and was pretty sick. Are you hoping to start in Jan/Feb?

@EmilyBee87 I'm sorry to hear you're going through it. I don't have any wise words of wisdom and I guess you've heard them all anyway. All I can say is I do sincerely hope this round is a success 🌟 will this be for your 1st?

It's good you've got festive events planned. I find distractions are good for me but I understand not everyone is the same and we all deal with things differently.

I think I might be heading into OHSS territory. I'm going to give the clinic a call later on today if I don't improve by the afternoon. I was a little bit sad about the fresh transfer being cancelled and sulked for a couple of hours!! I'm all good now. I don't think I'll transfer until end of Feb/March.

@Quillandink I'm just back home from my egg revival, seemed to go ok up to now no pain so hoping all good, what were you symptoms of OHSS? Just keeping an open mind to watch for things, I hate Google .
They managed to get 8 this morning, I feel slightly deflated as I thought there would be more but Ill be honest I don't know the norm

When are you due for transfer?

@camelinastorm 8 is a decent number. I know there is a drop off for everyone as the cycle progresses but I would be very hopeful with that number.

Progressive pain in my lower abdomen along with swelling. At times I have had shortness of breath.

Well done for getting through the egg retrieval process.

@Faith2024 thanks just Google is the devil, states ideally you should have 10-15 Im like wow that's a lot, hoping for a positive call tomorrow, they did say they all at first glance were looking good

Hi I had egg collection on Friday they got 32 eggs which shocked everyone as I was on a low dose and my cycle last year I got 9 eggs with the same dose. I’m having a freeze all due to this but I’ve been so unwell before and after the retrieval. I’m on blood thinners for the next 2 weeks. Does anyone know whether next cycle should start sooner or expect the full 2 weeks? Very nervous waiting for day 5 outcome on Wednesday. We had 18 fertilise but not sure on the final number.

@EmilyBee87 I called them. The nurse was slightly abrupt but told me to go to A&E if my symptoms continue. Thank you for asking.

@Nk11 hi there! I am also on blood thinners. I was told to expect my next cycle within 7-10 days of egg collection. I am also waiting for day 5 results on Weds. All the best!

@Quillandink wow that's a bad response from your clinic, mine have been great they called to check on me today,

I was worried as I've had no pain at all so concerned they didn't get any good ones out

The embryologist called to say 6 have fertilised great and I will get an update each day on them

@camelinastorm yes it wasn't the greatest response.
How are you feeling? I wouldn't worry about the no pain issue. I suspect my pain is related to the number of eggs collected (40+).
Great news in regards to the fertilised eggs. I'm guessing you'll be transferring soon? Exciting times!

@Quillandink yes I'm guessing due to the low number but fingers crossed the 6 little ones making it, I was on a natural cycle and low stims. Booked on for transfer on Saturday

@camelinastorm I was also on low stims. What does a natural cycle involve?
