@Faith2024 yeah I think you’re right, I think I will wait until I get started to see how I feel because I am bad enough for constantly trying to google things about it at the minute so maybe being off work and having more time to think about it wouldn’t be a good thing!

That is the plan @180monkeys . We won’t be doing fresh transfer and I will most likely do another cycle the following month.

Could cry AF has stopped today (CD 2 ) I am supposed to start meds do I call the clinic.... Strange it was here late Sunday night and yesterday but now gone... Or do I carry on as this is day 2

@camelinastorm Sorry that must be so stressful for you! I'd call the clinic and see what they recommend. Were they going to do a baseline scan? I didn't have one and I'm not medically trained in any way, but I wonder if that might help them see what's going on and if it's okay for you to start?

So they said to start yesterday as I'm normally light, then bam this morning it's like huge flow, I honestly think the build up stress caused it to start then stop, so I don't know if I should be today as CD1 but that means I've taken the stims too early as I should start tomorrow.... God never thought I was stressed but I must have been 😂😂

We started the long agonist protocol this month and hope to do so egg collection and transfer before Christmas!
im in Scotland, this is our first NHS round after trying for almost 3 years, 3 early miscarriages and 1 ectopic and tube removal… its been a journey! 😅
started down regs on the pill for 10 days, and now on day 5 of buserlin injections! Scan tomorrow I think to check my lining has reduced. Does anyone know why you need your lining to be low before they’ll start in the stims? Super excited to be starting but so nervous too.

Still a waiting game on my end.

My partner has been doing my injections and they aren’t too bad! The buserlin stings a little but I think I’m used to it now. One bruise and 6 days in think we’re doing ok. Hopefully you’ll be fine too! Are you going to do your own?

I’ve planned (ish) to take 2 days leave for egg collection and 2 days for egg transfer just to do some nice things and relax and be happy not stressed with work! lol!

@Faith2024 bless you, the waiting part before starting I think was so hard, it's like the first time you actually want AF to show.

I have had second 💉 today even though looking at my flow this maybe day 1 / 2 but can't change the fact we thought day 1 was Monday so stressful but hopefully the starting a bit early wont impact much, we will see on Friday for the scan

@camelinastorm I just called the clinic and I will be starting January now. Today was the cut off point before 1 pm. My cycle is 28-30 days and the one month I needed it to be 28. But anyway, maybe it’s a blessing. More time for supplements, acupuncture, relaxation and self-care.

@Amcr22 looks like you got the stims in full swing. I like control and I will be doing my own injections (also clashes with bed time routine for toddler so I need the peace and space to do it solo!).

@Faith2024 thank you! Yep first one today, it’s all pretty complicated tbh! I’ve had to take all my medication in the morning so they might ask you to do the same?
Hopefully this month will fly past for you and like you said more time to prep! Have you read it starts with the egg? X

@camelinastorm is your scan on Friday for lining check? We had that today and they were happy with my bodies response to the down regulation so far, thank god. It’s been the only ever appointment I’ve had at the hospital that hasn’t been negative

First scan done all seems good, back in money for tracking

@Amcr22 I read a summary of ‘it starts with an egg’ but I did lots of other research around fertility health. I think the message is the same.

About the injections, I am sure she said to start with AM shots then another one a few days later in the evening but have to check my notes. So many different protocols!

@camelinastorm great the scan went well.

@Amcr22 my scan yesterday was to see how the follicles are growing it was my day 4, she told me loads of reading for this and that , Im devastated I can't remember all she said, she did say they were all growing at the same rate so it was good. I start the am 💉 as well as the bemfola in the evening tomorrow for a week. There is so much information to take in

Hi all sorry so made my scan today, will continue with stims until Friday egg collection booked for next Monday.
Has anyone had experience with one side responding faster than the other ?

@camelinastorm Yes, I am on day 12 today and triggering tonight - my right side has responded much better than my left! I didn't make a note of my exact numbers, but I think I have around 8 follicles on or over 18mm and all bar one of them are on the right! The person doing my ultrasound said it was normal

@HungryTruck ohhh exciting times, yes mine said it was perfectly normal, was just worried she was pleasing me.
I'm due to trigger on Saturday so that will be 10 days of stims this seems to be the norm. She had to give me extra meds today as I was a few short I'm guessing this is also the norm, prescribe the minimum to start to waste less, are you at egg collection Wednesday then?

@camelinastorm They gave me enough meds to last 12 days. I wasn't responding amazingly at my day 9 scan so they suggested I might have to stim for 14 days and would have needed more meds. Luckily I had good growth over the weekend so egg retrieval is Wednesday morn!

@HungryTruck that's amazing news that they had a spurt. Hope all goes amazingly on Wednesday

@camelinastorm I also have a dominant right ovary, found out when I did my AFC count but I have as of yet no experience with stims etc. Hope it all goes well for you!

Thank you for the well wishes! The procedure went surprisingly well - somehow they retrieved 22 eggs and they updated us this morning that 15 were mature and 14 fertilised. We get our next update on Saturday.

They've mentioned that I am at risk for OHSS but everything seems to be continuing as if I am still doing a fresh transfer on Monday. I must admit that I am really apprehensive about this. Egg retrieval recovery has been harder than expected, with a fair bit of pain. I could have just been naive, but I am wondering if I am experiencing mild OHSS and would be better off doing a freeze all (even though I'll be disappointed to wait!). They will phone tomorrow to check on me again so I am going to confirm that they do a scan ahead of transferring an embryo to make sure the 'conditions' are okay.

Obviously I know there will be drop off but I didn't realise how protective or attached I'd already be to these 14 little embryos. The idea of not doing a fresh transfer would be gutting but I just want to give them the best chance possible!
