IVF / ICSI January 2024

Hi, is anyone due to start IVF / ICSI in January? We're going to do a 3 cycle package. I was hoping to start in December but hadn't realised Christmas closing would be so early! My clinic won't start fresh cycles after 30 November - my af is due any day now.

Got my protocol consultation next week, we've been doing lots of tests and my baseline scan. My husband was very sick earlier the year and we've now got MFI (low motility) and borderline sperm dna fragmentation. I've had recurrent miscarriages, combination of natural and ivf pregnancies, low amh, fibroids, adenomyosis... I've got immune issues so will be on extensive meds when we get to transfer. Trying to bank some embryos as this is our last go 🙏

Trying to see the wait as a positive to give us time to get the supplements in our system and eat well.

We had our scan today- all looked healthy and saw the little heartbeat. Can’t believe it 🥺🥺

@IVF23 In feeling ok really, more relaxed than last time, but think my expectations are lower this time so I’m not letting my hope / excitement run away with me!

That’s amazing, @IVF23 !!! Congratulations! My scan is on 14 Feb. I’ve been doing pregnancy tests every other day just to check… have you/ has anyone else done that?

im 5dp5dt today and the temptation to test is REAL, but holding out until my OTD. Got af type cramps today which I’m not sure if they’re a good thing or something to be concerned about

@Heyjal Thanks so much for thinking of me.
I had given up but feel like they’re much darker today and finally got 2-3 on clearblue.
although I’m 13dp5dt, or 18dpo so feels like it def didn’t rise as it should. I’ve got a little bit of hope my Frostie just implanted late - but not alot… my main concern is still ectopic.
I’ve let my clinic know today and they’ll come back to me with a scan date for a couple of weeks time but it’s just a wait and see game.
I’ll just continue monitoring for ectopic signs and go to EPU if I have any… I think clinics are used to people just being anxious so I think they’ll just write my concerns off as that tbh.

@73pheonix Awh hun they are so much darker! That’s great about the weeks progressing as well. Sorry I thought you were getting a blood test today for some reason. Does your clinic not do them on test day? Mine had recently stopped.

im all good thanks, just pestering the life out my clinic to get the ball rolling for frozen transfer. Feel like all communication has stopped after egg collection and it’s really frustrating.

Thats super frustrating, do you know how long they ask you to wait after egg collection?

@73pheonix they told me I just need to have one cycle after the ‘withdrawal bleed’. That’s came and went now so just waiting on my period.
Suspect my body will be ready for transfer around mid march but problem is we need to have a ‘planning appointment’ prior to transfer and the wait time for this appointment is around 6 weeks 😑. We are private as well.

Well after feeling crampy all day and feeling like af was arriving thought I’d do an internet cheapie to put me out of my misery and it’s only a BFP😯staying cautiously optimistic for now as I’m only 5dp5dt

Hi I had my 2nd fet on 23rd Jan so I’m now 14dp5dt and got my first bfp at 6 days. Not really had any symptoms which I’m trying not to overthink about

@HopefulHead thank you! I’m hoping the cramps are just the little embryo burying itself nice and deeply 😀although I think the progesterone pessaries are causing it too

I had my beta blood test today. No surprise, it was very negative (0.6). I'm guessing when it's this low, it means there was no implantation at all.

I'll speak to the nurse tomorrow, but now, it's on to my first FET (I only have one embryo banked) in March.

How is everyone doing? Congratulations to those who got there BFP 🥰🥰 or those who got BFN stay positive you will get that bfp soon
I've started fematab today as part of my ivf meds, anyone else have these? Any crazy side effects i should be aware of? 😂

@Cloclo93 I think there's one or two on the Feb thread that may have had that / are on that too.
