Hi 👋 I could not see a thread had been set up so thought I would do so. Bit about me...

➡️38
➡️Low AMH being main issue, last test was around 4pmol in the summer
➡️Have had an abandoned and failed IVF cycle in Spring of this year due to failed fertilisation, OH had low morphology, other parameters ok so ICSI advised next time
➡️Since then, I had 2 x consecutive ICSI natural modified egg collections and have 2 x day 5 ❄️❄️ and 1 x day 3 ❄️ embryos, whether they are any good, only time will tell
➡️I'm about to start another egg collection on the mild protocol this time and will (hopefully if it goes ok) transfer this time

@runner77 my otd is Thursday. I know the clinic will say to hang on til then but I just feel it hasn't worked. I'm getting other symptoms I would before af comes

Hope everyone is doing well!
Been a bit busy with work so not had a chance to update on how the stims were going. I'll be triggering tonight but will be doing a freeze all as my Estrogen is on the high side and they're worried about OHSS. Bit gutted but I know its better for my health too so have to stay positive.

EC on Wednesday though so looking forward to that!

@Socu3 I know you will be wanting to prepare yourself, but I have heard stories from friends about bleeds and AF pains, but everything turned out ok. So don’t give up hope yet.
@Hopingforno2in2023 Im sorry, I have forgotten your background, that is great news you have one to transfer and potentially one to freeze. Please can you refresh my memory.
@Runner77 so you can make the decision to PGTA test when you have an idea of what embryos made it to 5/6 day blasts, and then transfer your preferred one, and agree to biopsy the rest to be sent for testing before you freeze them? Is this your first cycle doing this? I’m sorry, I’ve got a few of our journeys muddled, please can you remind me.

No worries @onewishplease. I have extremely low AMH for my age so there was a very real worry that my body wouldn’t respond and I would have nothing to transfer so to have two blastocysts is amazing. I do actually have a small chance of more as they are watching two more overnight to see if they make it to blastocyst.

@onewishplease thank you. Its always good to hear..I think if I get a positive on Thursday I'll be amazed and have resigned to the fact it hasn't worked. Felt v v sad yesterday but slightly better today. Let's see what happens though.

That is great news @Hopingforno2in2023 and very inspiring for me to hear:) I also have low AMH and they are predicting a low number of eggs so to hear you have one on board, and one, maybe 3 for freezing, is really encouraging. Will you PGTA test (biopsy) them before freezing?

Good luck @onewishplease, you really can get a good result even with low AMH. PGT testing hasn’t been recommended to me, maybe because I am in my mid thirties.

i feel so rank on this utovlan , cramps are so bad , endo flaring & awful migraines on it . 10 more days on it , hopefully they won’t stop things as I keep spotting . Got to go clinic 4 times in the next week , owe work so much time !! 😫

Hey @Rebekah77 sorry to hear you’ve been feeling really groggy. If you’ve decided the best way for you is not to say then you will have a heavy load, but keep telling yourself you are strong, your body is strong and you can do this. Lots of deep breaths and silent mantras. What’s utovlan?

it’s notheristorone to delay period so they can schedule exactly to when surgery is booked for collection. surgery is all booked for mid December . Bleeding anyway and just feel completely off kilter , cramps driving me mad just staying under heated blankets tonight

Ok. Stay extra hydrated, 3litres plus a day. And what about raspberry tea to help with the cramps. Is it still ok to have warm baths at this stage, maybe that would ease them?

@Hopingforno2in2023 great update!! Hope you can relax a little now.

@onewishplease so we are doing ICSI due to MFI. I’m 37 so the specialist isn’t suggesting that we do PGTA but I felt that we should this round. It is more of a financial decision so that we don’t spend money on frozen transfers of embryos that won’t work. I had a fresh transfer of one untested blastocyst on Monday so waiting to hear if the others could be tested or frozen.

@Rebekah77 sorry to hear that your not feeling great. It’s a lot to put our bodies through. Are you able to take things a little easy, such as wfh or taking some time off?

I wish lol working 7 days a week at the moment I have got a day off next week finally think a duvet day is needed !

@Runner77 Thanks for the reminder. Fingers crossed that your fresh transfer on Monday is the one, but that will be great for you to know the quality of any eggs remaining.

..and thanks for your prompt regarding the symptoms. I guess I just thought I would feel more during stimulation. I have maybe built it up too much, or I am getting nervous about what they see at my scan on Friday.

Hi girls. Can anyone please explain the process of FET? The doctor explained it to me, but now I am in the middle of the cycle and as any woman on hormones begin to worry about everything in the world :)

1. I take oestrogen 3 times a day (to prevent ovulation I assume and to thicken the lining). After the lining is thick enough I will start on progesterone.
2. I just read that sometimes women do trigger shot to release the follicles and then 5 days later they do the transfer.
3. I wasn't prescribed a trigger shot. How will ovulation be controlled in this case? Will I ovulate at all? If not, how do they know when exactly to transfer the egg? Or it doesn't matter as long as the lining is thick enough?

Hi sorry to jump in, I just found out yesterday my estrogen is too high so we are doing the collection on Wednesday and it's a freeze all 😞 absolutely gutted. Did they say when you would likely have the transfer?

I asked at the appointment but she just said phone a week after collection and they will tell you more information as Iv had a lot thrown at me today! Really annoying me as I was totally blind sided by the freeze all and I would really have appreciated some more information. X

@Babeglas oh bless. I know exactly what you mean. To be fair, my consultant did tell me this was a possibility due to OHSS but I felt completely fine throughout stims so didn't think I would need a freeze all. Threw me off completely too.

I've been advised most likely January for me but not been told much yet. I'll probably ask more tomorrow after EC.

Sorry to hear you are disappointed @Babeglas all the waiting is frustrating and very hard. But try to stay positive, that it is not bad news, but a delay.

@contentsmayb I did a ‘frozen’ transfer last cycle as we had to time it with my DHs sperm retrieval procedure. I basically did item 1 - estrogen tablets and then progesterone for 5 days before the transfer. There was no trigger injection. My understanding is that it’s all timed based on when you start the estrogen tablets. Hope that helps.

Hi there

Was hoping someone could help me come to terms or comprehend what has happened or what to do next

We have been TTC since Oct 2019, tried natural for a year no success, all testing normal,.I have High AMH 68.9, no PCOS as hormone's normal however slight appearance of Pco.
IUI - Failed.
IVF - over responded, estrogen 28000, 12 eggs, 4 fertilised, none on day 5
ICSI - over responded again , 8 eggs 3 fertilised , 2 day 3 embryos frozen (3BB) , failed FET
ICSI - 16 eggs, 5 mature and fertilsed, no day 5
ICSI -18 eggs, 9 mature 6 fertilsed, 5 perfect on day 3, none on day 5

Have been told this is poor egg quality issue! Totally exhausted lost and confused, I always thought sperm took over after day 3 but my doctor said it's the egg?
Has anyone had a similar experience with success or any ideas what to do next. I have just turned 31 and finding it hard to come to terms with poor egg quality
Husbands semen analysis has always been perfect
