Hi 👋 I could not see a thread had been set up so thought I would do so. Bit about me...

➡️38
➡️Low AMH being main issue, last test was around 4pmol in the summer
➡️Have had an abandoned and failed IVF cycle in Spring of this year due to failed fertilisation, OH had low morphology, other parameters ok so ICSI advised next time
➡️Since then, I had 2 x consecutive ICSI natural modified egg collections and have 2 x day 5 ❄️❄️ and 1 x day 3 ❄️ embryos, whether they are any good, only time will tell
➡️I'm about to start another egg collection on the mild protocol this time and will (hopefully if it goes ok) transfer this time

How is everyone else doing? Hope you are all enjoying the festive season, although I have to admit I’m not feeling overly festive this year.

We had our follow up with our consultant after our failed transfer. He started by plugging in my details into an IVF success calculator (I’m 37, have had two failed transfers) and then asked me to guess the percentage of women like me who would have had a positive pregnancy test. I guessed 50%; the actual statistic was 42%. I found so much comfort that I’m part of the majority, and basically this is all just a numbers game. The more transfers we have, the better the odds (although a very general statement I know). We are proceeding next year with a FET, most likely in Feb/March so we can sneak in an overseas holiday before hand. I’m feeling more excited for the future!

Hi all, not a good update from my side. Finally got a call from my dr regarding the embryos we got this cycle. They are not good quality- BC and CB, dimilar to last time. So even if chromosomal good, lower chance for implantation and growth.. Big drop was before day 3 - 6/10 fertilised stopped growing, then 4 got to day 5, but 2 were not suitable fir biopsy and dropped developing too. So it is purely my bad egg quality 😔
I have a call with the clinic in Spain next Thursday but feeling like defeat ..

Just had a call from my clinic. Start medication beginning of Jan, first scan around the 22nd Jan and transfer week commencing 5th Feb. Have paid for the medication so that will be on its way to me soon hopefully.
