Hi 👋 I could not see a thread had been set up so thought I would do so. Bit about me...

➡️38
➡️Low AMH being main issue, last test was around 4pmol in the summer
➡️Have had an abandoned and failed IVF cycle in Spring of this year due to failed fertilisation, OH had low morphology, other parameters ok so ICSI advised next time
➡️Since then, I had 2 x consecutive ICSI natural modified egg collections and have 2 x day 5 ❄️❄️ and 1 x day 3 ❄️ embryos, whether they are any good, only time will tell
➡️I'm about to start another egg collection on the mild protocol this time and will (hopefully if it goes ok) transfer this time

Please join the rollercoaster for November as you wish!

@Caubabatko there's a chance it might be implantation bleeding or just normal during pregnancy, don't give up yet 🙏
See how it goes these few days ❤️

@Caubabatko @Caubabatko really sorry to read that. Are you on Progesterone? It's odd to be on your period whilst on Progesterone so perhaps it could be implantation bleed? I was on Progesterone when I had a chemical and started my period a day after stopping it (when my HCG went back down to below 5)

I hope it isn’t the case but that is exactly what happened to me last week @Caubabatko . Stark negative test at 12dp and bleeding despite being on progesterone.

Update from me...looking like possible egg collection on Wed's, and I will know more on Monday.

No transfer this time, though, will have to be a FET as my lining may have a polyp on it, and therefore, a Hysteroscopy has been advised to remove it. A FET can then take place the cycle after, so possibly a FET may start at the end of Jan if I can get the Hysteroscopy done in time.

Has anyone had a Hysteroscopy?

Also, any tips on how to prepare/ what's involved with a FET? Not got to transfer stage as just done back to back collections so far, so may as well use this time after collection and transfer to prepare and give my body some time to rest after all the stimulation the past few months

@TT82 @Sunflower360 @Hopingforno2in2023
The bleeding is still continuing like a normal period, I will test again tomorrow mo but 99.9% not happening, I've done research and results on D12 would be definitive. I don't think paying for hCG blood test makes sense.
I was hoping to get pregnant before I turn 44 but it's probably not realistic ... a little deflated but we're moving on.
I've enquired about further investigations to rule out chronic endometritis, immunity issues and am prepared to visit the clinic before the Christmas break.
On that note, @Sunflower360 I might get hysteroscopy too.
FET preparation - Are you doing medicated (HRT) or natural?
I was doing natural modified (with a trigger shot).
Common advice is to eat beetroots, drink beetroot juice to support endometrial lining and exercise to increase blood circulation around our reproductive organs. I had an acupuncture session that helped follicle and lining growth. Vitamin E and NAC were recommended (to continue) for FET. Invivo femme. v to support lactobacilli species in the uterus.
Although, mine didn't work so take them with a grain of salt:)

Sunflower360 · 01/12/2023 15:43

@Caubabatko really sorry to hear that. Further investigations sound like a good plan, best to rule out what you can.

Not sure which FET yet, I would imagine natural or natural modified, don't fancy the HRT one. That will all be confirmed following egg collection I think to plan next steps. What is the process with FET? Is it the same type of thing as stimulation but without the collection? Just trying to understand how many scans/what meds would be taken on a nat mod FET? Would imagine that would give them more control than just a natural FET? Sorry so many questions!

@Caubabatko oh so sorry to hear it! 🥺 as if to get good embryos wasn't enough of pain and stress.. Take care of yourself and forget about timing, it will happen when you are 44, important it will!!
I will be doing endometrium biopsy too this month, and immune etc tests..though not sure I even will have what to try to transfer 🙈

TT82 · 01/12/2023 15:46

@Sunflower360 good luck with EC on Wednesday!!

Day 1 post EC for me.. 7 eggs collected 5 mature 4 fertilised with ICSI. Next update won't be until day 5 :( has anyone had success with PGD with low starting numbers? xx

Hopingforno2in2023 · 04/12/2023 09:58

Fingers crossed for your eggs @Autumnsun20. I don’t have any experience of PGD sorry.

Just left an answerphone message with my clinic to get the ball rolling on a FET.

onewishplease · 04/12/2023 17:49

Hey, sending best wishes to you @Autumnsun20 all being well your eggs have progressed nicely. @Sunflower360 I hope your scan went well today. I am interested in all of your FET questions above. As I am now starting embyro banking, it will be FET (hopefully) next year. @Caubabatko I am sorry to hear that you have not conceived on this cycle. You have put a lot of work into getting this far and to know the egg had been tested and was eupoloid, is more frustrating. I would be asking lots of questions and having further investigation done. There is a clinic called ARGC in London, they are industry experts, if that is the right expression (reputation for best clinic/results in the UK etc), and have lots of experience with auto immunes etc and reasons that women would not accept the embryo. Is it worth getting a second opinion on how they would move forward? I have a scan booked for Wednesday (cycle day 5) and I will be told then when to start the medication for my 2nd attempt at IVF, first natural modified. Hoping to grow some follicles over the next 10 days or so.....taken melatonin for the past 2 nights WOW does it knock you out!! And also 50mg of DHEA as I am on the lower side. I am going to pay to test DHEA again early January to make sure I am not overdoing it. We shall see. Maybe slightly more relaxed going into this cycle than last month. Had my friend over on Sat night and she told me to "let the light in" so trying to be much more zen for this attempt...we shall see. Anyway, sending good luck and best baby wishes to you all XX

Hopingforno2in2023 · 05/12/2023 10:52

Good luck @onewishplease!

Clinic just called. We have an appointment on 12th December to do all the paperwork and then will get going late Jan/early Feb

TT82 · 06/12/2023 07:04

Morning everyone, finally got email with embryos results:
17 eggs collected, 14 mature, 10 icsi fertilised, but only 2 made it to embryo and were biopsied 😢
I am in shock as last time from 7 fertilised we had 4 embryos..and even then all uneuploid. So what's the chance now. I asked the dr to give more information on grading and how many were at 3 day..to understand where was the biggest drop.
Do you think it is normal this outcome?
They ask if we want zo send testing (you pay as if for 4), or to do another egg collection and hopefully then send 4 or more.. But what is the chance third one will be better? I am turning 42 in April 😞

Sunflower360 · 06/12/2023 08:09

@TT82 really sorry to hear that, hopefully they can give you some more information soon.

I’m sorry to hear that @TT82

onewishplease · 06/12/2023 08:35

It’s up to you and what position you are in financially but there is a chance. You will still have a good egg, it is just a lot of work and expense to find it. You are only 41. Talk to your doctors and stay positive. Unfortunately it was always going to be difficult. But not impossible.

username131024 · 06/12/2023 21:17

Hey @tt82 - that must have been a shock. Sorry to hear the numbers haven’t been what you want. Might it be better just to transfer rather than test? Since you’ve come so far in this cycle. Sorry if I’m missing background on why that might not be ideal.

TT82 · 07/12/2023 08:08

Thank you all for the support!! ❤️
Still waiting for a dr to provide more information, they are extremely slow here.... To transfer wo testing a risk of mc, I had 4 last 2 years and they are emotionally tough ..also cannot do double transfer either, as I cannot carry full term and kids premature.
We have decided to get consultation with a clinic in Spain that does two egg collection in 1 month, what's their view. Meanwhile will plan here another EC, so will send together with next, or if we switch straight to Spanish clinic, then will send just these 2 for testing. All depends when they all can fit tge next EC

username131024 · 08/12/2023 01:40

Just to say (& super mindful that this has been a tough cycle for many) that we had a 7 week scan. Fetal pole, sac & heartbeat - all measuring to date. Each milestone allows a minor exhale - but long way still to travel. Thank you for the cheerleading along the way & hoping 2024 is a great year for growing your families.

onewishplease · 08/12/2023 06:43
