Hi 👋 I could not see a thread had been set up so thought I would do so. Bit about me...

➡️38
➡️Low AMH being main issue, last test was around 4pmol in the summer
➡️Have had an abandoned and failed IVF cycle in Spring of this year due to failed fertilisation, OH had low morphology, other parameters ok so ICSI advised next time
➡️Since then, I had 2 x consecutive ICSI natural modified egg collections and have 2 x day 5 ❄️❄️ and 1 x day 3 ❄️ embryos, whether they are any good, only time will tell
➡️I'm about to start another egg collection on the mild protocol this time and will (hopefully if it goes ok) transfer this time

Please join the rollercoaster for November as you wish!

@GOL - hope you get good care and that things settle. Great news on your embryos - they can easily change within a few hours it just depends when the update call is. Day 5 really tells a story. Wishing the best.

@kirstysmbc - congratulations on your transfer and welcome to the TWW. I am tempted to test early too….. argh it’s so hard!

Caubabatko · 09/11/2023 19:45

@StillTrying10000 I'm doing FET in Czech Republic and husband isn't even physically required for the procedure. If the clinic wants to eliminate STD risks they only need to test you?? Ladies who have actually gone through FETs in the UK should be able to advise but doesnt make sense to me either

username131024 · 10/11/2023 06:14

Morning, tested early….
6dp5dt on a FRER and was a faint positive. Will test again in a few days and clinic test day is in 4 days time.

I know it’s a long way to go but I am super pleased for this milestone.

onewishplease · 10/11/2023 07:05

Congratulations @IslandsintheOcean that is fantastic news!!!!! X

kirstysmbc · 10/11/2023 07:15

@IslandsintheOcean Fabulous news, congratulations!! Fingers crossed for a very sticky baby!!

onewishplease · 10/11/2023 07:30

@Hopingforno2in2023 that is also fantastic news! Will you wait for 5 days, or will you review/are advised to have a 3 day transfer?
@StillTrying10000 We we’re actually told by one clinic that they wouldn’t accept any of our screening as they weren’t done by a certified clinic - they were done through our doctor and sent to the lab at our local hospital! What?! The clinic we are with now have accepted then though, so you could ask your GP if they will do it?
@GOL hope you are feeling better. This is my first round so no idea of ‘normal’ but I’ve woken uk this morning feeling very thirsty and groggy, and it’s only day 2, eek. Hopefully your blood test is fine to proceed and your bloating has gone down. Hopefully your embryos are developing well, and @kirstysmbc got good results in a similar situation, so fingers crossed.

Hey folks,
Can I join you lovely ladies on this thread?
I’ve been following for a while but only just getting round to contributing now.
I am 39yo, 40 in Dec. Single and have made a choice to solo parent. It’s 18months since having the first convo with GP and at first everything seemed to move super slow but now lots is happening very fast!
I have been on buserelin and menopur for the last wee while, egg harvesting was on Wednesday. Got 18 eggs, 11 were mature and 8 have fertilised. Keeping my fingers crossed….
As much as anything, I just wanted to say thank you to you ladies- I am very lucky to have super supportive family and friends but I have learned so much from this thread and it’s strangely comforting to read the experiences of other folk on similar journeys.
I’m rooting for you all, keeping my fingers crossed and sending lots of love and positive energy your way!

Congratulations @IslandsintheOcean! Amazing news.

Had another call this morning and all five are growing well. Grades are 1 x 1-, 2 x 2, 1 x 2- and 1 x 3. So four of them are good quality, the fifth is a little wonky but May correct itself. I am pencilled in for transfer tomorrow but if they look as good tomorrow as they do today they will push that back to Monday. Very happy with everything so far.

Sunflower360 · 10/11/2023 10:25

@Hopingforno2in2023 that is good news, sounds like you'll get some to freeze too!

@WanderingSpirit Welcome from a fellow solo mum and good luck with your wait. Are you hoping for a fresh transfer?

@Hopingforno2in2023 Brilliant news, good luck for transfer tomorrow / Monday 😊

@onewishplease thanks, love to hear other's positive stories 😊

username131024 · 10/11/2023 12:27

Great news @Hopingforno2in2023

Rebekah77 · 10/11/2023 13:28

The northeristorone is kicking my butt t

migraine is doing my head in , ha gonna be a fun weekend of work !

got to pop back to clinic as not enough meds , frustrating but will just jump on scales whilst I’m there !

BebeBelle · 10/11/2023 18:53

Wow! Congratulations @IslandsintheOcean that's amazing news😁. I hope it's the beginning of all the positives for this group😁. I just read your message which says you might not make it to the full 10 days :)

Paris was fab, thanks. Good that the twins are
keeping you busy. Yes, no matter what you do you are constantly
counting down hours, and days.

I'm surprised I lasted this long. I'm on 10dp5dt and they asked me to test at 11dpt. I have really sore boobs and a few minor cramps but it think it's all down to the hormones that I’m on. Are you getting any symptoms? Sooo nervous about testing tomorrow morning. This is the furthest i've ever got to in this process and I just pray it will be a happy morning :)

@Rebekah77 welcome to the group. So sorry to hear about all your losses. Hope the meds work out for you on this journey.

@Caubabatko* *that’s good to know about the natural cycles. There is so much that we put into our bodies with IVF. I do get it as well on the planning side but I wish it could all be done naturally. Best wishes 

@Sunflower360 glad to hear that things are moving forward with you egg collection plans. I’ve not heard about Anti-thyroid peroxidase but at least they have a solution that doesn’t delaying your cycle. Hope you AF is almost here. Best wishes with your diet as well. I think once you have low carb diet that cuts out a big junk of gluten.

@Hopingforno2in2023 that’s great news from your EC. Congratulations  Amazing that you will also be joining the 2WW club. Best wishes 

@onewishplease* *They have changed my meds and increased my dose. Glad to hear that you are all sorted out with the counselling.

Thanks, I’m back now. Such a romantic place and glad to hear that you have good memories of the place.

@kirstysmbc Welcome to the 2WW club, how did the transfer go?

haha, I have no patience as we but I’m getting nervous for tomorrow morning’s test now that I did the complete 11 day wait. I also made sure to not have any test in the house so that helped. Paris was a good and it help with thinking of other things. That’s so lovely that you used to live in Paris. You must miss it. 

@Runner77 – congrats on the good results on your EC and good to hear you are well.

@StillTrying10000* *welcome to the group and all the best with your sibling journey.
@GOL – sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell. Best wishes with EC tomorrow and hope all the other embryos catch up cause they can just pick up as well.

@WanderingSpiritwelcome and fantastic results with the embryos.

onewishplease · 10/11/2023 20:20

Wishing you all the best in the morning @BebeBelle 🤞🤞

Sunflower360 · 10/11/2023 20:49

Thanks @BebeBelle , AF will hopefully be here in just inder 2 weeks....so fingers crossed. And I think you're right about sub consciously cutting back on GF with the IVF diet. In all honesty I would struggle to cut out gluten completely as I do like foods with it and it doesn't seem to cause me to feel ill so doesn't really make sense to cut it out completely. I may just have to keep elements of the IVF diet in the future as Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) antibodies basically means I'm prone to get under active thyroid in the future sometime as the antibodies attack the thyroid gland 🙄...at least I know now so I can make long term adjustments to lifestyle/diet to minimise symptoms and hopefully minimise any effect of thyroid levels as at the moment their fine.

Good luck for your test tomorrow, you've done well to wait until your test day!

Thinking of you @BebeBelle for tomorrow. Super well done for holding out! So glad to hear trip to Paris was so good - and maybe you’ll get to go back again with a plus one 🤞.

I find it hard to symptom spot - as we’re on meds, have had hormones, if a fresh cycle then our ovaries have been mega stimulated. I mean try separating that impact out from a tiny embryo the size of a mustard seed doing it’s thing 😊. That being said some women do just know I guess.

BebeBelle · 11/11/2023 06:41

@onewishplease @Sunflower360 @IslandsintheOcean thanks for the well wishes.

I finally got to test with FMU. Unfortunately it turned out to be BFN. I will join you @Sunflower360 on the wait for AF. Not sure what happens now. Do you just continue taking the estrodial and the progesterone until AF comes? With it being a Saturday I might just carry on until I speak to the clinic on Monday.

It's been a journey. I've done my best to stay positive but it's not easy. Best wishes to you ladies. Hope there are more positives to comes on the group. 😁

Sunflower360 · 11/11/2023 07:32

Sorry to hear that @BebeBelle I think you would keep taking it until the clinic says to stop. Was this your first transfer? I'm due a transfer with this next egg collection, have to say I'm not building my hopes on it as it all just feels so trial and error

OP posts:
username131024 · 11/11/2023 07:51

@BebeBelle - I’m sorry to hear that news for you. It’s such a tough journey - I hope you two get some peace and rest this weekend.

On meds - we’ve been advised by clinic to stop cyclogest / progesterone / pessaries if negative on target day. Period won’t come with high doses of progesterone, so stopping meds will let that happen.

Odd to say but know that an internet person knows what this feels like and will be thinking about you both. ❤️

kirstysmbc · 11/11/2023 08:00

@BebeBelle I'm so sorry this wasn't your lucky cycle. My clinic said to keep on with meds and test again in two days time (even though my otd is 13dp5dt), so I wouldn't stop anything until you've spoken to your clinic. Sending love and strength to you and your partner today

onewishplease · 11/11/2023 08:03

Hey @BebeBelle I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t worked this time. You and your partner are in my thoughts as it is such a challenging journey for a couple. Sending you both love x

Hopingforno2in2023 · 11/11/2023 09:27

I am so sorry @BebeBelle Flowers

Just had my day 3 call. The wonky one didn’t make it but the other four have improved in quality so going for transfer on Monday now.
