@girljulian oh I’m so sorry. That’s not uncommon though which I guess is kinda reassuring in a way but also not any less frustrating. Did you not want to do medicated / surgical (sorry if that’s personal)? Really pleased it’s been relatively painless and by the sounds of what’s ‘left’, you’ve done the worst.

so sorry you’re feeling like it’s the end of the road. Would you consider another fresh round or are you done? You hated being pregnant from a symptoms aspect or mental health aspect? Sending love.

@Hopingforno2in2023 phew! Pleased to hear you’re feeling more ‘full’ and that you’re on certitide. They going to be looking for transfer Friday then, if Mondays (hopefully) the final scan check in?

@kirstysmbc exciting you’ve started the waxy crayons! That is the official gateway to transfer!! Woohoo! Sending so much love and luck for Thursday.

@Jellyfish1956 @ARM23 thabk you both for your luck and wishes. If good wishes account for anything then I’m defo set for good news based on all your guys wishes. You’re a lovely group honestly thank you all of you. Xx

No worries! we already tried the medicated route and the doctor said there isn’t enough left for it to be worth going surgical, so hopefully it’ll just come out.

My symptoms were terrible but also I just felt so stressed and anxious from the moment the test was positive, which I didn’t expect! I think I will get my final embryo PGT-A tested, because if the issue is that I’ve been putting back abnormal embryos all this time, at least I’d know that, you know? I don’t want to put in another abnormal embryo and have another miscarriage if I could save myself the pain by testing it and being told it isn’t viable.

Jellyfish1956 · 06/11/2023 13:59

How was today @GCS34 I've been thinking of you.

How are you feeling today @Hopingforno2in2023 ?

Yay for the progesterone symptoms @kirstysmbc we all love those pessaries 😂

Hopingforno2in2023 · 06/11/2023 14:13

Hope you are ok @GCS34!

Scan today went well. Lining now 13.7mm and have 9 follicles! Egg collection planned for Wednesday at 09:30 but they will call to confirm everything later today.

Jellyfish1956 · 06/11/2023 15:03

@Hopingforno2in2023 yay!!! 9 follicles is amazing! Are you going for a fresh transfer?

@Jellyfish1956 @Hopingforno2in2023 thank you both for your messages.
unfortunately it wasn’t good news and we lost the baby 😔 the heart had stopped beating they suspect about a day or two after our scan 10 days ago. It actually measured smaller than it did then.
we have an appointment with the EPU tomorrow at 3:10pm and the next steps from there. I’ve elected for surgical management.

Oh @GCS34 i am so sorry. I hope tomorrow goes smoothly. Take care of yourself.

kirstysmbc · 06/11/2023 17:08

@GCS34 I am so sorry to hear this, it's a horrid outcome. I hope the surgery goes well tomorrow and you are able to take some time to recover and grieve. I found the surgery fine physically, and felt I was able to draw a line under things more quickly, which really helped me. Sending lots of love and support xx

Jellyfish1956 · 06/11/2023 17:53

I am so sorry @GCS34
Take some time to look after yourself and process what has happened. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. We're here if you need to talk xxx

GCS34 · 06/11/2023 17:56

@kirstysmbc thank you. Our surgery isn’t tomorrow. The consultation at epu is tomorrow sorry, and my clinic think surgery will be end oftge week. I think that’s it. I Just want to go to sleep and wake up when it is all over. I don’t think mentally I could cope with having to pass the pregnancy naturally - I think I’d find it quite triggering. Apparently the bleeding post surgery is quite minimal and because I don’t have cycles and periods, as soon as the blood has stopped and we want to, we can go again. So we’ve both said we’re going to go again right away but for now I can’t think of that. We deal with the information tomorrow and then the surgery, the recovery, we then go on holiday end of nov then reset and. Look forward. It’s just such a shit shit game isn’t it?

@GCS34 im so sorry to read this. I’ve been avoiding forums for my own brain but knew today was an important day for you and wanted to check in. I can’t even imagine how you are feeling, what a really shitty time. Sending you so much love and strength, I’m so incredibly sorry this has happened. Be kind to yourself and look after yourself! Hope the appointment goes well tomorrow.
Totally understand why you have chosen the surgical route I would absolutely be the same. Thinking of you lots and feel free to vent here anytime regardless of anyone else’s situation, it’s a place for everyone.

Sorry, that was me misreading your message. I hope your appt goes smoothly tomorrow and you can move forward quickly with the surgery. Thinking about what might happen naturally is one of the things that made me opt for surgery as well. Luckily I didn't have much bleeding afterwards and went ahead with a FET on the cycle straight afterwards. I found it helped to be making a plan to keep moving forward. That was my successful cycle and I'll be keeping everything crossed that yours will be too.

And please know that we are here if you want to chat and dont feel you are damping this time for me. I've been there and understand how helpful it can be to talk when you're ready.

girljulian · 06/11/2023 19:13

Oh @GCS34 I’m so so sorry to hear this. As you know I’m basically where you are but two weeks ahead — do PM me if you want to talk. Thinking of you.

ARM23 · 06/11/2023 19:59

@GCS34 im so very sorry to hear this. That’s just awful. Completely understand choosing the surgical option. Please take care of yourself. I am glad you have a holiday booked. X

@kirstysmbc thank you for your message and understanding too. I think it’s something I never gave as much attention to as I should have in the past, and I look back to a friend who lost hers and think was I supportive enough? It’s just never real until it’s real, is it? That’s reassuring that your recovery was quite good and it’s amazing your daughter is your rainbow. I really hope that’s the case for me too 🌈 🤍🥰 thank you for the hope. How are you getting on?

@girljulian thank you so much 🤍 it’s such a shit club to be in but it’s nice to know I’m not the only one in it and you’re there to support and vice versa. It’s just so messed up isn’t it? we said earlier we wish we had had a negative test than this. Hopefully tomorrow they get the surgery booked for end of the week and if that’s the case, we miiiiight just squeeze a transfer in before Christmas. But we shall see. How are you getting on?

@21C@ARM23 thank you both so much. I really don’t want this to dampen your journey and I want to hear both your successes as it gives us all hope. Keep growing girls 🤍 for me. Xx

Please don’t stay away on my behalf @GCS34. Obviously if you want a break from the thread I 100% get that but do it for yourself, don’t worry about us :) If you need support we are here for you.

Salacia · 07/11/2023 11:03

@GCS34 I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve been there, it’s awful and I completely get the thought that you were rather it was a negative test - I’m sure many of us have had that thought. Look after yourself and take care. One thing I found helpful was taking a few days to escape to the coast and breath the sea air/listen to the waves etc. Not sure if that’s something that would be possible for you or you’d find helpful but the change of scenery (being able to hide away from normal life) for a day or two really helped me start to process.

GCS34 · 08/11/2023 06:57

Thank you everyone you’re all so lovely and it’s nice to have a bunch of people who ‘get it’ truly.
Thank you 🤍
so I must be in the worlds quietest EPU or be the luckiest (well, lucky is a stretch) person as I am on my way to my operation now. Got to be in for 7:00 for surgery at 9:00am.

it’s all just so fast and I’ve not had any time to process it which is a good and bad thing. I guess there’s time to feel after.

good luck @Hopingforno2in2023 sending sticky vibes. Xx

@GCS34 Sending lots of virtual support for today. Good news that you are able to do the surgery so quickly, and I hope everything goes very smoothly and you have some time off to allow yourself to process everything. My EPU gave me a fairly generic doctors note so I could take a week off, and I found that really helpful.

Jellyfish1956 · 08/11/2023 09:52

Will be thinking of you today @GCS34 and sending you a big virtual hug. I hope it goes as well as it can and you have some time to process after.

Good luck for your egg collection today @Hopingforno2in2023

ARM23 · 08/11/2023 11:55

Hope it all goes as well as it possibly can do @GCS34 . Thinking of you x

Hopingforno2in2023 · 08/11/2023 16:05

Hope you are well @GCS34

EC went well, got 9 eggs of which 8 were mature.

Jellyfish1956 · 08/11/2023 19:15

Great news!! @Hopingforno2in2023
I've got everything crossed for good fertilisation tomorrow morning xx

Salacia · 08/11/2023 19:23

Glad the egg collection went well @Hopingforno2in2023 - my husband and I have an arrangement where he buys me a Chinese takeaway for every uncomfortable gynaecological procedure…just a suggestion!

Hope you’re doing ok @GCS34 - been thinking of you today. As @kirstysmbc said take as much time off as you need and are able to. I think I took three weeks off in similar circumstances.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 09/11/2023 09:18

Great idea @Salacia!

Have had the call and 5 have fertilised overnight. Will get another call tomorrow.
