@GCS34 a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you!! Such lovely news!!
I'm in full first trimester pregnancy symptoms. Nausea most of the day, I'm only eating brown bread and shreddies, as I can't stomach anything else. Very sore nipples!!
My last pregnancy I had very little symptoms, and no nausea. So this one is definitely different.
We have our 7 week scan tomorrow, very anxious about it!

@21C wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow!! Its really normal to feel so anxious about it. I hope you get some sleep.

@Hopingforno2in2023 really happy to see you can go ahead with everything

Hey stranger @Justkeepmoving1234 i was thinking about you yesterday and wondered how you were. Thanks so much for your kind wishes. Good luck for this morning. Keep me posted as I’ve been so. Loving your fairy tale I just want to continue ok your journey to stage 2! Sending love to you lovely. I love your diet is basically beige food! Were you a bread / cereal girl before? I mean, they’re very healthy choices. All the whole grains - your baby will have thr best digestion ever 😂

@21C all the love luck positive vibes to you my love. well I know you were up at an obscene time as, who isn’t on test day?! Sending love and really can’t wait to hear how #2 of this weeks testing trio went xx

@girljulian oh babes bless you!! At least You can answer the question now of, feeling or being sick - which is worse?! 😫🙈 I love you sleep-snack-sleep diary. I laughed at that last night. How are you feeling this morning? And are you managing to sleep?

@Hopingforno2in2023 i can’t tell you how pleased I am to read this. So pleased your clinic are supporting you and going for it now. A week delay is better than the new year! Pleased for you. Did you manage to sleep better last night knowing it? And is everything still set to go after you start your period on 21st?

@kirstysmbc i feel like I’m going to ask you everything so apologies in advance. How are you doing now and did you say end of oct potentially transferring?

@GCS34 Transfer is likely to be early - mid November as my cycle has been delayed after the failed fresh cycle. My cycle tracking app says 9 November (if my lining plays ball).

Feel free to ask questions, I'll answer what I can remember! I was very lucky and didn't really have any symptoms at all through my pregnancy - just a tiny bit of nausea and exhaustion in the first trimester. Hopefully you're the same 😊

ARM23 · 12/10/2023 09:38

@21C whooooop! So very very happy for you, such wonderful news. Great start to a rainy Thursday.

@kirstysmbc Oh not long then! When do the drugs start? I thought you were transferring end of Oct but I think I have you mixed up with @MrsMotts! How are you feeling about being back on the oestrogen? Are you doing medicated actually, or natural?

Haha thanks I'll try not too as it's well annoying for everyone else when i'm like "I fancied a biscuit - is that a craving?" No love, you just want a biscuit.

Massive congratulations @21C what fantastic news!!!! So happy for you.

@Hopingforno2in2023 great that the clinic realised they were being annoying and unreasonable!

@GCS34 I think mine was a 4BB, but you are right about not getting caught up on the grade. I've had some mild intermittent cramps yesterday and today. Seeing you all with no symptoms and positives has got me thinking that the cramps are not a good sign. But I guess I don't know until I know. I can't imagine ever seeing a positive test at this point, but we are still in with a chance 🤞🏻

@ASGIRC how exciting about the gender reveal scan!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 12/10/2023 09:52

Many congratulations @21C!

I am thrilled that the clinic have changed their mind and that we go ahead with my next period around the 21st October. Egg collection and transfer will be week commencing 6th November. Really really hoping I am pregnant for Christmas!

GCS34 · 12/10/2023 09:55

ASGIRC · 11/10/2023 17:46

@GCS34 oh man! I hate being pregnant. And it's not even been a bad pregnancy... But the lack of appetite, food aversions, blood pressure drops, nausea, and then not being able to just say "fuck it" and go out drinking is tough!!

So I get it.

I had zero symptoms until I hit week 6. No boob pain, no nausea, nothing. Mild nausea started at 6 weeks, boob pain at 7. And that is still there and as strong as ever!

Enjoy your no symptoms! And pray you get none!!! It's so much better!!!

@ASGIRC Bless you - hopefully nausea will let up soon, and you get some nice food to crave soon!

RE the negative pregnancy talk, just be mindful of who is part of this group - all of us have been trying for a family for years, and some with a huge financial burden to go with it, and would give anything right now to be in your position.

Even though I am now pregnant, I still found your message really quite triggering, and I'm sure I am not the only one to feel that way. I don't mean to be rude, or call you out, just perhaps be a bit considerate of what you say to a room of a people who are struggling, some quite a lot (physically and mentally), and some financially.

I appreciate it's hard and the symptoms are horrid I know, but it's worth it in the end. I really hope your symptoms let up soon and you can enjoy trimester 2 and 3 x

girljulian · 12/10/2023 10:31

awww yes @21C!!! Congrats!

@GCS34 you know what, I think I prefer being sick to just feeling it!

21C · 12/10/2023 10:56

Thank you everyone!! So kind!

been for bloods this morning, clinic were cautiously optimistic but want to wait until results are back tomorrow before discussing any further 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@ASGIRC hope you are doing ok with your symptoms although I must admit I agree with @GCS34 my stomach dropped when I read that you hate being pregnant when it’s everything I’ve and everyone else here I’m sure has ever wanted. Your feelings are totally valid and I’m sure it’s not easy but this is maybe wrong forum for a statement like that.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 13/10/2023 16:17

My prescription is being delivered on Tuesday! Once again I start with clomid before moving on to cetrotide and meriofert. Two scans week commencing 30th Oct and then egg collection and transfer week commencing 6th November.

kirstysmbc · 13/10/2023 17:47

@Hopingforno2in2023 How exciting! That's the same week I'm expecting transfer too, so hopefully we'll be transfer buddies 😊

Hopingforno2in2023 · 13/10/2023 17:54

@ARM23 Good luck this morning, keeping everything crossed for another positive result 🤞🤞

Hopingforno2in2023 · 14/10/2023 07:08

Good luck @ARM23!

Cetrotide is what prevents ovulation @GCS34 and Meriofert is the same as menopur, just a different brand name :)

ARM23 · 14/10/2023 07:08

Unfortunately it is 2/3…my test this morning was negative. Best of luck to everyone😪

kirstysmbc · 14/10/2023 07:14

Jellyfish1956 · 14/10/2023 08:03

I'm so sorry @ARM23 its such a tough journey and none of it makes any sense 🩵 sending love your way.

@Hopingforno2in2023 yay for drug arrival!!
If this transfer doesn't work then my next one would be the week of the 6th November so please I can be part of the club with you and @kirstysmbc !

@ARM23 oh I’m so sorry darling. This has really thrown me and Just shows how delicate this whole thing is. Sending so much love and thoughts your way. Be kind to yourself today, and drink the frickin wine!!!!

@Hopingforno2in2023 thsnms for the info! 🤓 honestly it’s a minefield of drugs that all essentially do the same thing. Wonder what makes them choose between the different brands. @kirstysmbc do you know when your first day of drugs is and how many days(ish) you’re going to be on them?

@Jellyfish1956 when is your otd?

last night I started getting period pains and some quite sharp. When I went to the loo I’d started spotting. And then later when I went to do my evening progesterone there was quite a lot of blood with a bit more cramping. It was quite bright but dark (if that’s possible!) anyway I also miraculously and this AM no blood Jusy a bit of brown. This all sound okay or not? @girljulian was this what you experienced?

Hi @GCS34, seeing any kind of blood is terrifying, isn't it? Yes, basically that is what happened to me. I would get in touch with your consultant and ask for an early scan to put your mind at rest. In my case he could see the source of the blood was a haematoma ("small area of bleeding") from implantation which was now coming out. He said the uterus contracts to get rid of blood that it considers to be a danger to the embryo.

My consultant said not to worry too much if it isn't a lot of blood because a miscarriage is usually heavier than a normal period but you'll worry until you've seen what's going on!

Oh, so sorry to hear this!

Doughnut89 · 14/10/2023 14:09

Congrats @GCS34 and @21C on your recent positive pregnancy results 🙌🤍

@GCS34 i saw your note on bleeding, if it makes you feel any reassurance, I had consistent bleeding for two weeks every time I went to the loo from 5-7 weeks and I’ve now just hit the 12 week mark. So hopefully all fine for you too x
