We filled up the first thread fast!!

Thank you @GCS34 and @Hopingforno2in2023. I'm actually feeling totally fine, which may seem odd to some people, but it's just how I am. It's helpful we are going on holiday this afternoon as a distraction though, so I'm grateful for that. Everything happens for a reason.

@Lolly2507 yeah that is 100000% the worst. Really feel for you. And that’s exactly it - they don’t really know what they’re treating.
Are you 33 did you say? Did your clinic give you any grading for your embries? Not that it matters really like @TTCMama17 said it’s just a beauty contest and I think @Chickencrazy3356 shared some insight too that the grade a lot of the time is just it’s ability to thaw. I didn’t know that!

@Custard7891 im pleased you’re not feeling too low, and the holiday couldn’t be better timed. You’re going to Greece aren’t you?
I hope you have a wonderful time and at least you can drink ALLLLLL the wine now!

Yeah we're off on a cruise to Greece, Croatia and Montenegro. Yeah first round of IVF and first ever transfer. Unfortunately we have nothing in the freezer, but we can't change it. We will try again and what will be, will be.

@Hopingforno2in2023 aww thats exactly how I feel, if we are successful I'll be announcing to fam Christmas and I love that. Fingers crossed for us 😊

Just got my grading for my embryos but I have no idea what I'm looking at haha they gave an info sheet but I can't make sense of it. These are our five embryos: 3Bc, 5Bb, 8 cells-grade 1, 5Ab, 5Aa.
Does anyone know a good resource to understand these? Googling isn't helping eeeek

@GCS34 I'm not feeling too bad, but then I don't have too many follicles, although I do have one on each side at over 3cm which isn't great. Egg collection on Monday, trigger at 1130 tonight, eek!!

@Lolly2507 That was my due date apparently, but I arrived on 30 instead. Glad to meet another witch baby!! As and Bs are awesome grades by the way, congrats.

@Custard7891 I'm so sorry it was not good news this morning. I love your mindset, it can be difficult to move past negative reasons, but hopefully the holiday will be exactly what you need.

You are young and do make a lot of eggs and embryos, so odds are on your side, you just need a little bit of science to help:)
I've got premature ovarian failure unfortunately but guess what, got a faint positive this morning 🥹 let's hope it gets darker tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞

It is crazy warm today and I’m being all pathetic and pale chasing a patch of shade round so hopefully you’ll get some good weather and good wine. Croatia is a wonderful place. Are you going to split? It’s lush there. Your positivity is so powerful. You got this 🤍🥰

@Lolly2507 thats a great result. There are lots of resources on google but don’t drive yourself mad like I have 😂 it’s easy to fall down a rabbit hole!

@Lolly2507 i looked at “the duff” website, it was really helpful for grading etc.

@Summerishere83 fingers crossed on your positive result… I opted to do it with the first cycle, then having had those first results felt I should do it with all collections.

@Lolly2507 I found this blog article really helpful: Complete Guide to Embryo Grading and Success Rate. Sounds like you have really good looking embryos. Have you had any tests to eliminate immunological or uterine issues?

@KG1244 100% haha I started looking and was like woah need to make sure I don't become obsessed like I have done with every other stage oops!

@Caubabatko thank you so much I'll check it out. No I did ask and our clinic said they didn't think it was necessary at this stage I guess if we have a few unsuccessful attempts we would insist tho.

I haven't tested since yesterdays BFN and I'm too scared to now. But thinking of everyone with their OTDs coming up!

working all weekend has helped keep my mind occupied. I keep telling myself, if it doesn’t get to 5 days, it wouldn’t have gotten to 38 weeks and we are ready for round 2. Never wished for a Monday morning before 😂 but we tentatively have our ET booked for then as long as our update call is good news 🤞🏼

I thought I’d side stepped progesterone side effects - but the bloating has hit and I’m a bit stroppy (but that could be the anxiety!) but I can’t stop peeing which is very unlike me! I’m a nurse so I can usually hold it all day 🤣

@ARM23 the duff is amazing. My mum uses it to research and understand stuff as it’s really relatable and easy to understand. Bless her. It’s good if you ever need to share something with a non-infertile 😅

@Caubabatko @Lolly2507 that’s really good explanation. depending on what grading system you’re clinic uses?TFP use a different one to that were you based? Either way they’re some amazing grades and you have some really strong chances in there 🥰

How is everyone doing today?

I’m definitely suffering from pre testing nerves. The symptoms I had Thursday/Friday have disappeared which doesn’t fill me with much hope 😢
