@CDiamond fantastic! Make sure you take it easy now. Feet up ❤️

@GCS34 pleased to hear your family are being supportive. Nausea has passed now which is a relief. It’s just so frustrating because I know full well all these symptoms and suffering could be for nothing. It’s so draining. Sorry to rant but I just feel like we all put our bodies through so much in the hope it might all work out. It’s a lot

@CDiamond congrats on your EC. I'm also going to be doing collection after 16 days of stims, so really glad to hear you got a good haul! Fingers crossed for great news tomorrow

Woohoo @kirstysmbc that’s a great turn out given their original estimation and your feelings of deflation. Thrilled for you! Roll on Monday 😘 will you be doing a fresh all being well? Lining seems to be the topic of the day so is yours behaving enough for possible tf?

@KG1244 yeah they’ve been really good. My mum is my biggest cheerleader which is really lucky! Glad the sickness has passed. Is that from the progesterone or is it the oestrogen?

i know how you feel 100%. It is SO much mentally and physically to put our bodies through, and I don’t think anyone realises how much is involved. I certainly didn’t when I first started’ I know vaguely but not all the drugs involved and Just how life impacting it is with what you can / can’t do, side effects, anxiety, fatigue and all for a 33% average chance or whatever. I don’t think you’re negative. I think you’re honest. X

kirstysmbc · 01/09/2023 15:32

@GCS34 I know, I'm feeling a bit more optimistic, but will reserve any real excitement until after collection. If there are one or two embryos I'll do a fresh transfer, any more and I'll do PGT. My lining is apparently amazing, much better than on my frozen transfers, 12mm and triple layered.

Chickencrazy3356 · 01/09/2023 15:35

Hi ladies

I haven’t caught up on the thread but hoping everybody is doing as ok as they can. This thread is so reassuring and comforting.

I had my follow up yesterday we are not going for a 3rd round as we now have 6 embryos. I was a bit worried about my 4CC embryos and sorry if everybody already know this but my consultant explained the second letter is the grading for what makes the baby and the 3rd letter is for what will be the placenta and that if it’s a C it’s more of a risk thawing but that if they thaw ok then it goes back in just like a top grade embryo !

im going for my frozen transfer in December once jve found out if I need to be a bone marrow donor for my brother as unfortunately they said I can’t donate if I’m pregnant so holding off till then.

im apparently peri menopausal and I felt amazing on the stims so I’ve been started on progynova to try help with my symptoms (aching tired etc) and see if we can get my lining thick enough by December, I don’t have periods so they have added in progesterone to cause me to have a bleed each month, has anybody had progynova did you feel ok?

Caubabatko · 01/09/2023 16:49

Hi everyone, 43 year TTC our first child.
EC from May resulted in 1 euploid and 1 untested.
At the beginning of this month we had EC producing 14 eggs, 11 fertilised, then 4 blastocysts were frozen.
Now the PGT-A results came back and only one of them is euploid.
So we now have 2 x euploids and 1 x untested in the freezer - not decided what to do next, I'm so scared of losing any more embryos!

Has anyone over 40 been banking or transferring PGT tested embryos?

ARM23 · 01/09/2023 17:07

@Caubabatko I did 3 back to back collections with PGT-A and my last was the best, so it really does vary month to month. Would you consider another collection?

Summerishere83 · 01/09/2023 17:24

@GCS34 wow, your numbers are staggering, well done! are you very young or you have PCOS? Are you using IVF because of the endometrial lining issue? The chances are really high for you, hope you respond to estrogen then🤞🤞🤞

we were given 5-10%, I guess when you don't have many eggs left and the odds are 1:4 or 1:5 embryos being normal for my age group, no medications can help. But that's why we transferred 2 and I'd like to transfer 2 every time if we have them 🙂

Summerishere83 · 01/09/2023 17:31

@TTCMama17 yes, definitely too early, don't give up hope, it's all we have sometimes around here ❤️ I'm personally not too worried about the grades, I've read all kinds of stories, everything is possible!

Well I've had cramping like I said yesterday all day but that only makes me apprehensive as I always get these on CD22-23 and that means I'll have my period in a week's time. And it's the fact I had a few sudden sharp pains, these are the ones I recognise. But anyway, not out until OTD blood test so we'll see. Yes, some tingling in the boobs but that's progesterone no doubt.

Take care xx

Caubabatko · 01/09/2023 17:32

@ARM23 By back to back you mean duo-stim or just going for another stim from the next period after the EC? So did you just go for 3 in a row without waiting for the PGT results of the previous cycles?

Chickencrazy3356 · 01/09/2023 17:38

@Caubabatko I’m not over 40 but I’ve got low AMH / early menopause so my consultant is treating me as she would if I was over 40 I had 2 rounds back to back with a month break in between and PGTA all the embryos, I’m now going for a FET then if non of the embryos implant I’ll go for another round my first round I had all normal grade 4 embryos my 2nd I got 2 genetically normal but 4CCs

we decided to get all the eggs/ embryos we could before going for a FET and banking them

ARM23 · 01/09/2023 17:51

@Caubabatko started each cycle on the next proper period (after the withdrawal bleed). I managed to get all my PGT results back before my period. If I had loads of euploid I would have stopped.

1st - 8 went for testing = 1 euploid
2nd - 9 went for testing = 1 euploid
3rd - 8 went for testing = 3 euploid

So I have 5 euploid in the freezer and looking to start the transfer process when AF arrives. It has been a long couple of months!

ARM23 · 01/09/2023 17:58

@Chickencrazy3356 i think we are in a similar situation, nice to hear someone do the same. At one point (3rd cycle) I thought I must be mad!

@Summerishere83 I would love to take the credit for growing lots of eggs, but it was the beauty of the Lean PCOS beast! I was only diagnosed at Xmas after I stopped the pill and no period came for almost a year. Countless bloods, scans and being prodded by dildocam, and I came away with a lean pcos diagnosis. With no abnormalities with my testosterone, insulin and a health bmi, it was missed and masked by
the pill. And not young per se, well, 34, but not a spring chicken! How about you? Are you 40s if I remember rightly? If not sorry!!! 😂 and is yours due to amh? I really hope so on the oestrogen too. We’ve been warned of what’s to come and % drop if I don’t make the 7mm+

did they advise for you to do pgt or was it elective? And are yours all back now and normal? Forgive me for asking - I don’t know a great deal about pgt if I’m honest.

Lolly2507 · 01/09/2023 22:59

@GCS34 @Lowo21 thank you both ladies! So interesting I've been reading up on lean PCOS and honestly it could make sense. I have had multiple cysts in the past and to be told by every specialist we see our fertility is 'perfect' only to still not be pregnant is frustrating to say the least. I'll defo read up more and consider pursuing a diagnosis or at least see what lifestyle changes I can make to help manage what I can really!
Fingers crossed for your lining @GCS34 my lining was the best it had been before they abandoned the cycle this month which is typical 😅

Caubabatko · 01/09/2023 23:05

@Chickencrazy3356 Are you waiting for the next cycle for FET or already in the FET cycle? How many euploids did you bank in two ECs?

@ARM23 You do sound like me except more than 2x of my embryo numbers in each collection! Were your embryos biopsied on Day 5/6? How old were you when eggs were collected and fertilised? Sorry, Mumsnet isnt great for searching posts so I cant find your earlier comments!

@Lolly2507 are you unexplained infertility then? I think that’s the hardest of them all tbh. Do you have regular cycles?
oh how frustrating!! Was the abandonment due to ohss risk?

Lolly2507 · 02/09/2023 07:16

@GCS34 yep unexplained. 100% because even when we made the decision to do ivf we had no idea if it would work or not because we dont know what the issue is. Knowing that we can make embryos is just hurdle one tbh. Yeah I ended up having mild OHSS but it did not feel mild at all haha the two days after EC I was so so ill! I was tempted to do embryo banking whilst we are young but actually I can't face that any time soon!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 01/09/2023 06:43

I think I will be October too @Lolly2507 and I had already calculated that would be a July baby :)

@Hopingforno2in2023 aww I'm glad its not just me! Yay October cycle lots of luck for everything what are you doing until then to keep your mind occupied?

kirstysmbc · 02/09/2023 07:26

@Hopingforno2in2023 @Lolly2507 My birthday is the end of July and my dad used to tell me I was conceived on Halloween and delivered by the witches. 😂😂

If I end up having a freeze all, I might be saying the same thing to dc2 one day... 🤞🤞

Hopingforno2in2023 · 02/09/2023 08:02

Well I have a new job @Lolly2507 so hoping that will be a distraction. This is also my favourite time of year and usually flies by so I am hoping it is the same this year. Am a lover of Christmas so would be so amazing to be pregnant by Christmas. Hope you have stuff to distract you and that the time goes fast for us both.

Custard7891 · 02/09/2023 09:38

@kirstysmbc hahaha this is the best thing ever. I’m not in the oct club, well, I might well be if my lining is an absolute twa…. (Not saying it, not saying it! I am trying to be nice to it with positive words of encouragement now) plays nicely and is a wonderful female muscle. 😏😉 is EC Monday for you now? And how is the groin area feeling? I felt like I had 2 bunches of grapes down my pants 😂.
