@Justkeepmoving1234 @GCS34 amazing thank you, love hearing about other people's experiences and direction especially with PCOS. I have picked up a few tips that regardless of IVF outcome I will continue as it's helped a lot with my lean PCOS symptoms

@Lowo21 share the love 😂 what have you got to hit me with to help? I’ve been on coq10 / omega 3 / vit E / magnesium (and obvs vit d and folic) but any other perils of wisdom on supplements or diet?

Just had a message from Stork - delivery Wednesday morning for our drugs!! 😬😆 so hopefully after Tuesdays scan and apt, we can crack on on weds!
im trying not to focus on the fact my order has 224 estrogen tablets in!!! 😳🫣

Hello @MrsMotts no worries, just I'm the same, too many threads and posts!
That's fair enough about the fresh transfer and moving on to the next cycle, at least everything will be moving very quickly so it won't give you too much time to overthink drive yourself insane lol
Fingers crossed everything goes well on Monday 🤞🤞🤞 and it's good you know what works for you, if keeping yourself busy with work makes time go faster 🙂 I'm off work because I really need time for myself at this moment.
We did a fresh transfer with the new embryo and thawed another to transfer two. It's our first transfer and I'm terrified we might lose both if unsuccessful but what's done is done :)

TTCMama17 · 31/08/2023 18:03

Hey guys! I need some advice, I had the embryo transfer 2 days ago. Today I went to the soft play with my nephews (by no means did I do any running around) but I did crawl around and go down the baby slides. The baby slides being the ones for four and under and not the other big ones. Will that be ok? Or have I damaged the process?

KG1244 · 31/08/2023 18:48

@TTCMama17 You’re all good 😊

OMG I’m so bloated today. Look three months pregnant 😭 I find it really difficult to deal with the bodily changes from this process knowing it’s all down to the bloody progesterone.

MrsMotts · 31/08/2023 19:03

@Summerishere83 yeah I’m definitely finding the lack of control now, and just “sit and wait” but the hardest part so far. I’m a chronic overthinker and way less anxious when busy! We’ve not told anyone we’re doing IVF even parents as we don’t want to deal with anyone’s disappointment so are having to try to be a bit sneaky - we work together so trying to keep it very unsuspecting (and I’m a known workaholic - having yesterday off sparked suspicion in my best work mate!), but I have annual leave from next week (post transfer) which was a coincidence! so will be taking it very easy in the hope it sticks!

im under no illusion it’s our first one though and I may feel differently if we do another cycle and rest a bit more! It’s so hard to know what to do for the best 😫

wishing you all the luck with your transfer 🤞🏼 If we had 2 we were going to go for both too so will be thinking of you ❤️

@KG1244 i am dreading progesterone side effects! I have baggy dresses ready to go!

Lolly2507 · 01/09/2023 05:37

Hey everyone haven't been on here for a few days have been working 7am-11pm 😴
Finally fully recovered from EC and mile (didn't feel mild!) OHSS which led to my freeze all. Got a call with the doctor on Tuesday to discuss this cycle in full.
So total follicles ended up being 34 (mad considering my AFC said 18?) got 19 mature eggs but only 8 fertilised froze embryo day 3 and 4 on day 5 so total 5 embryos which I'm really happy with given it was a mild cycle I was expecting 2 max 3.
I've had my withdrawal bleed now but need a full cycle in between I think so would be an October transfer and fingers crossed summer baby like me 🥰🥰🥰
Am i the only weird one who always calculates due date every month and gets excited about their birthday e.g. oh itll be easter, oh itll be his birthday, itll be a leo etc etc haha
I've never been diagnosed with PCOS but with my higher AMH levels and our difficulty conceiving I'm starting to wonder but that's basically my only symptom so perhaps not. When I research what else a high AMH could be it says that you're commonly super fertile HA I wish!!!
As always lots and lots of love and luck to all of you love following along your journeys

Hopingforno2in2023 · 01/09/2023 06:42

Missed a few days and there have been so many posts!

I am so so sorry @Ellenn, my heart breaks for you Flowers

I am sorry about the lack of fertilisation @Warrier87, I really hope the doctors are able to find out why and be successful next time.

My withdrawal bleed is done so now waiting for my period which is due around 22 Sept so all v boring here. Start my new job today so a distraction at least.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 01/09/2023 06:43

I think I will be October too @Lolly2507 and I had already calculated that would be a July baby :)

Hey congrats on your Frosties! @GCS34 and I are in a very similar boat. Super high AMH (mine was 136) and then lots collected and 5/6 on ice. I was quite shocked at how few came out of an originally high number but so grateful for the number of embryos. Both @GCS34 and I are also on FET.

So PCOS wise (a couple on here do have a diagnosis) it's worth remembering that there are so many variations. Your clinic should be able to help you though especially if it is self funded. High AMH and follicles on your ovaries outside of the normal window are symptoms but there are lots of others.
@GCS34 following on from your earlier post and question... Clare Goodwin wrote a book called "getting pregnant with PCOS" whilst she doesn't profess to always get you pregnant she mentions in there that sometimes unfortunately IVF is the only way she does help with a lot of the symptoms. She talks through the root cause and what causes certain things to happen or not happen. I found it really helpful with managing my anxiety and stress along with things like hair loss and acne. She also does a podcast called PCOS Nutritionist on Spotify and its helpfully titled each episode so you don't have to listen to all (there are 100s) ! Everyone is quite unique and the symptoms (excluding the ovaries) can vary massively !

Lowo21 · 01/09/2023 07:01

@GCS34 yeay 🥰🥰🥰 super excited for your meds delivery !!! So close behind ! Ohh wow that's a lot of oestrogen. So far I haven't had too many symptoms quite tired come 7pm and night sweats. Really glad I have finished the ovamex now ! Hope the holiday is going ok?

Lowo21 · 01/09/2023 07:02

@Hopingforno2in2023 good luck with your job! Definitely a good distraction!! Hope your first day goes well 😋

Summerishere83 · 01/09/2023 08:13

Hi @MrsMotts yeah we haven't told anyone either, I'm past the stage of getting excited too early thanks to these 2 past years of heartache. And also I can't deal with having to answer messages about it 😬 I'm even thinking, if successful, I won't be telling anyone before it's at least 20 weeks and all possible tests and scans have come back normal 🤞🤞🤞
It's good you find solace in your work, that is a win-win hehe
Thank you, will be thinking of you too xx

Summerishere83 · 01/09/2023 08:24

Morning @kirstysmbc @KG1244 @CRJ
I know we're in the same boat, I'm 4dp5dt today.
Hope you are doing well ☺️

KG1244 · 01/09/2023 08:36

@Summerishere83 Hello PUPO pal! Feeling a bit queasy this morning. Urghhhh really hope it’s a good sign and not the progesterone playing havoc! How are you?

OP posts:
CRJ · 01/09/2023 08:46

Morning @Summerishere83 I'm feeling much more positive these last few days. I was so emotional and down at the beginning of this week. How have you been feeling? Is this your first transfer?

@KG1244 that's strange, I was the same yesterday, felt queasy and had a banger of a headache.

Lilibach · 01/09/2023 08:49

GCS34 · 30/08/2023 21:12

@Lilibach hey. I’m sorry your tf got cancelled due to lining. Do you mind me asking what you managed to get up to? Ans was that a medicated FET or fresh transfer in a fresh cycle?

endometrial scratch is meant to be good! My clinic mentioned it to me as I too have a badly behaved uterus that just doesn’t like to play fairly! I got to 6.7mm during the stim cycle of my current one but we did a freeze all in the end so I’m now doing Medicated starting next week.

So I only got up to 4.3, they said it was thinner than the scan at my EC! This whole process is all new to me so all of the things expected, I never really knew so, I couldn't really prepare myself. It was a fresh cycle.

When I spoke to the embryologist, she said it's just one of them things, and not an age thing, and that a natural cycle 'may' be better as the body will do what it naturally does but also said that's not a guarantee either, it's something we will have to discuss when we go again. I'm just unsure why I have to wait now while I've read on here that, people who also had a thin lining start medicating very soon after... I'm now waiting for at least 2 periods to be contacted again to start the frozen transfer. But I'm prepping myself now and am going down the acupuncture root, starting next week!

Lilibach · 01/09/2023 08:54

Ellenn · 31/08/2023 11:07

Unfortunately not good news for me on scan this morning 😭 and the clinic likely won’t be able to do another transfer till January now. Thanks to everyone for their support so far xx

I'm also waiting for the next transfer (I'm in UK) as my TF was Wednesday, but my lining said.. not today 😔

Summerishere83 · 01/09/2023 09:06

Hello @TTCMama17 sorry I missed you in my previous post, hope you are well too ☺️

@KG1244 @CRJ I was really anxious and negative the first 2days, then more hopeful yesterday, feeling down today, so really on a roller coaster 😅

Cramping all day yesterday, sharp sudden pains as well as mild twinges, not sure what to think about that as I always get these on CD22-23 of my cycles and I know my period is due in 7-days' time 😬 but could be different this time 🤞🤞🤞

Yes it's my first transfer with 2 embryos, 3bb and 5bb🤞🤞🤞

Tested negative today which is normal, I'm testing every morning, Sunday when I'll be 6dp5dt will be interesting 😬🤞🙂

@CRJ very good you're feeling more positive today, it's interesting that you two @KG1244 had the same symptoms yesterday! When are your OTDs btw?

CRJ · 01/09/2023 09:17

@Summerishere83 both our tests are Monday. I've decided I'm going to wait until then. This is my first too, so it's hard to know what to expect. It really has been an emotional rollarcoaster.

I was crampy alot the first few days. On and off with stronger ones and lighter flutters, but that's been my only symtom really, apart from a bit of queasiness yesterday and feeling generally tired and ran down.

Summerishere83 · 01/09/2023 09:25

Hi @CRJ ok, mine is on Wednesday, it's getting closer 😬 yeah I'm aware symptoms or not, it doesn't really matter much as it's just the progesterone effect anyway.
Good luck to everyone 🤞🤞🤞

CRJ · 01/09/2023 09:28

@Summerishere83 exactly! It's so hard to tell what's from the progesterone or all the hormones and not.
Yeah not long to wait, just got the weekend to go!
Fingers crossed for everyone.

Hey @Summerishere83 sorry I’ve not replied to any of your messages yet. Been trying to find the right time to crop up and say hey! And when you said about anxiety, it really resonates.

like you, I really struggle with the control aspect (or lack of!) and it spirals me into a research frenzy trying to find stats, figures, anything that makes me feel better. I swear I Just google until I find the answer I want then feel better 😂

they’re great embryos to transfer. Is there a reason why they’re doing 2 with it being your first? We are having 1 in our transfer, then if that’s unsuccessful they potentially will do 2 then.

keep us posted on the testing! I don’t know how you can do every day I’d lose my shit and panic every day 😅😆

@CRJ and @KG1244 big love to you both and good luck for the next 8ish days. How are you guys feeling today? @CRJ youre also testing daily aren’t you?

Ah @Lilibach sorry it got cancelled on transfer day. Have you had issues with periods or anything in the past? Have they discussed the FET with you and drugs etc?

I am very similar in that I don’t get much thickening. I had one round of ovulation induction that got to 6.5mm, and we had to cancel as I had 18 follicles to release rather than 1 🙈
then 6.5mm again, which we triggered and tried.
then a cancel completely as my body didn’t respond to the drugs and my lining was 2mm and my follicle sizes actually shrank!
6.7mm is my highest from the ivf round, so their is no logic, consistency or guarantee how I’ll respond to oestrogen so I’m panicking a little. I have Lean PCOS which is what’s causing it and zero periods but it doesn’t make it easier so I feel you’re pain 🤍

KG1244 · 01/09/2023 09:49

@GCS34 thanks lovely, it’s only a few days left for me. Testing on Monday 😬
Are you still on your holiday?
