@Olivia199 Im glad youre feeling better! Even well enough to go into work!!
And LOL at your colleague! Some people, heh?

I ended up telling 3 friends I was out for dinner with last night... I was drinking non alcoholic beer, which they didnt even query, as they thought it was in prep for baby. But then kept asking me how it was all going. And I was non committal, saying everything was going well. But it kept coming up... Every 10 minutes one of them would go "so, but tell us, hows the baby thing coming along?" And after the 4th time I ended up saying I was already pregnant and not just planning on being pregnant in a few months.

@Ivfround1 good news on the increase! Maybe it was just a bit of late implantation. Fingers crossed for tomorrows results!

@orchid29 how far along are you now? And well done with the not testing!

I just got a new batch of tests. So will continue tomorrow.
I am, however, only testing every other day, and really only because I havent maxed out the dye yet...
And also, its a nice little routine, and that settles me.
And while I have been testing a lot, and worrying about it not working out, I am pretty chill about the whole thing. Im more worried about telling people if something goes wrong, than I am about something going wrong, if that makes sense.
But Im also pretty confident it will go well, despite worrying it wont.

Walker12 · 03/08/2023 06:19

Congrats and fingers crossed to those with early lines! And thinking of everyone still in the horrible waiting limbo. Totally agree about the tests/lines varying being normal, for those worrying, but I know I'd be having the same concerns- one of the only positives of being in hospital is that it's meant I can't obsessively test! Although if you can do it in a way which doesnt cause you lots of stess then why not @ASGIRC

@Olivia199 really glad you are feeling better. So funny that your colleague picked up on it, some people really do just seem to know these things!

Hoping I may get released soon as feeling a lot better, and the catheter is now gone (my bladder just needs to behave now!).. My beta was repeated yesterday and it had doubled perfectly in just under 48hrs so feeling good about that and makes this all very worthwhile. My OTD isn't until Saturday but the hospital have rang the clinic and they want to see me as soon as I am discharged so I'm guessing they may accept the early result😂 I am only just over 4 weeks, the scan I had here to check for fluid didn't find any signs of pregnancy but that was about 3w6d so I know there would be pretty much nothing to see at that point anyway.
I need to figure out who /what to tell as my close family/friends obviously know I am in hospital so makes it a bit tricker to cover up. Although I need to figure out an excuse in advance for colleagues when they ask why i have been off/in hospital as I am a rubbish liar.
@AnaS86 how are you doing? Have your ohss symptoms increased with the pregnancy hormones increasing? I can cope with the current level of bloating/discomfort continuing but a bit worried abut further pain etc. Convinced my skin is going to tear if my stomach grows anymore!

Walker12 · 03/08/2023 06:20

Sorry for the rambling update by the way, sleep deprived and a bit disoriented!

Hi83 · 03/08/2023 07:44

@beehappy19 @Ivfround1 good luck for those results 🤞🤞🤞 sounds promising though 🥹

can I just ask the DPT is day 1 on the day of the transfer or the day after?

Walker12 · 03/08/2023 07:52

@Hi83 it's the day after, so day of the transfer would essentially be day 0 😊

Hi83 · 03/08/2023 07:53

Thank you for clearing that up for me 😌 makes me a little bit more hopeful

Lauralozzle · 03/08/2023 09:02

Hope everyone is alright.

I’m having one of those days where I’m sure it just hasn’t worked. I’m 5dp5dt today, I’ve had a look at my notes last time, it’s all very similar. I’ve had really sore boobs past few days, this has died down today. Same happened last time around the same time. Just have a feeling history is going to repeat itself.

I hate the head fuck in the ivf 2WW. I’m not going to test yet, I’ll wait until Monday. But urgh! The waiting is driving me crazy!

Walker12 · 03/08/2023 09:27

@Lauralozzle oh lovely I am so sorry you're feeling this way, it is such a horrible stressful time! I know I am saying this from a very fortunate position, and even with being ill I am so so grateful to be in this position. There is no reason to think it hasn't worked though, the symptoms vary so much even between the same person. I was pregnant before briefly and had lots of nausea and sore boobs from early on, I've not really had sore boobs at all this time yet, and all of my 'symptoms' are now clearly explained by the OHSS. Keeping everything crossed for you.

10degreessunny · 03/08/2023 09:38

Hi @Lauralozzle I totally feel you. I couldn't feel more normal, no symptoms at all and this wait is driving me crazy. I am going to test tomorrow as it will be day 7 with a day 5 blastocyst. I even dreamt about it last night and it came back positive which has made me think I have jinxed it 😣.
This limbo is crazy for sure! X

beehappy19 · 03/08/2023 09:40

@Lauralozzle Try and stay positive! I know it’s hard as I’m completely over thinking everything too. This 2ww is just awful. Until you test you just don’t know. I’ve got everything crossed for you

SH998 · 03/08/2023 10:04

@Lauralozzle @10degreessunny please don't fret, its still very early days and possibly too early to experience any sort of symptoms. The 2ww on both my pregnancies (first one failed/currently almost 6 weeks this time) were both completely different so you cant judge on past experience.

I know that's easier said than done as no one frets more then me - I found the worst thing you can do is compare to past experience, I did begin comparing this pregnancy to my last and freaking out as last time I had symptoms within 2 weeks, extreme tiredness and sore boobs, this time there's next to no symptoms but then I remember that that the last pregnancy wasn't successful so maybe the difference this time is a positive.

Good luck both, ill keep my fingers crossed for you :)

ASGIRC · 03/08/2023 10:33

Seems today is my turn to not feel amazing...
Im coming down with something. A cold, I think. Started feeling it yesterday, now have a bit of a sniffle...

Its not dramatic in anyway, but I am such a bad patient... im worse than men with manflu!

It doesnt help that Im at work, either, when Id rather be in bed, asleep!

Im hoping this cold doesnt develop more than this (it would not be unheard of, for me), as I havent had one in over a year and this is just really inconvenient timing!

hope everyone is feeling better today!!!

Sorry about the rant! LOL

10degreessunny · 03/08/2023 10:55

Hey @SH998 thank you for your message, it's so true, need to chill out. I am WFH today which makes it worse as can get distracted more. How are you feeling?
@ASGIRC sorry to hear you're really run down, make sure you take some rest and recharge, your body is going through a lot X

ASGIRC · 03/08/2023 11:02

@10degreessunny thanks! im definitely being a bit dramatic, and working morning shifts, which my body doesnt love, as Im more of a night owl...
So I guess the tiredness and the pregnancy has lowered my immune system somewhat.

Usually id take some ibuprofen and be done with it (paracetamol doesnt tend to have much effect on the feeling rough, for me, unless I have an actual fever), but dont want to take NSAIDS without talking to a doctor, and also dont feel like this warrants that!!! 😂

Walker12 · 03/08/2023 11:42

Oh no @ASGIRC! Hope you feel better quickly. Yes I think pregnancy reduces your immune system doesn't it. I woke up with a lovely coldsore today to add to my joyous list of issues!

ASGIRC · 03/08/2023 11:58

@Walker12 oh you really didn't need a coldsore on top of everything else!
But from my observations, they di tend to come out when you're not feeling your best!

Any news on if you'll be discharged today?

Lauralozzle · 03/08/2023 12:31

@Walker12 Thank you. I know really I’m still in the implantation phase so any symptoms wouldn’t be down to pregnancy anyway. I’ll be glad when this week is over!

@10degreessunny We’re in this limbo zone together. I’ve had some strange dreams. Woke up the other night thinking the house had fallen down.

@beehappy19 Thanks. I know it’s too early just woke up in a bad mood! Ha!

@SH998 Thank you. I think you’re right, comparing my past transfer won’t necessarily mean this transfer will be the same outcome.

Right. Positive pants back on!

@ASGIRC I hope you feel better soon. Lots of rest when you can!

Hi83 · 03/08/2023 13:22

Reading through everyone’s comments, I struggle to keep up with it all, the tww is hard, I’ve been finding it much harder than I thought I would.

when did others get their positive tests? I took one this morning not excepting anything from it, was negative but I am only 6DPT l did originally think I was 7dpt until I didn’t realise the day of doesn’t count x

sending lots of positive vibes to everyone 💜

Charming81 · 03/08/2023 13:26

Good morning everyone! I finally had the time to read the whole 25 pages 🥴 I am a bit overwhelmed with lots of information now, so sorry in advance if I mix and match you and your stories 🙈

First of all I hope that @Walker12 @AnaS86 are feeling better with their OHSS and @Olivia199 is getting better with the pneumonia

Congratulations to all the new positives even if it is still early! 🍀🐞🤞🏻

@ASGIRC I really love your enthusiasm and positivity, I wish I was like you!

@Ivfround1 good luck for your beta today! I am so happy that your second beta went well!

Updates from me if you remember. So, I had a first positive First Response at 9dp5dt and clear line but a bit faint. My beta at 11dp5dt were 135 (I will repeat them on Saturday, after 6 days). The clinic is happy with the results, but I think the number should be bigger.
12dp5dt was my OTD and First Response was very positive, very strong line. The Coop acutest still had a faint line.

I have repeated the coop test yesterday at 12dp5dt and the line has increased significantly. I had 2 chemical pregnancies in the past so I am terrified, nut I never went this far.

I've had really tough 3 years. I found out I had a cardiac defect and ended up with Open Heart Surgery, then my dad died, then ended up in A&E because one of my endometriomas popped, then a surgery to clear a bit of my endometriosis (and they removed one tube as well) then the 2 chemical. I feel that it is impossible that something good might happen to me!

I know I should not complain as there are women with way worse unlucky events than mine, but I really struggle to think positive.

14dp5dt test was done yesterday. Maybe it is better to stop testing and just wait for beta results this weekend.

Sorry for the long post

@Charming81 It really does sound like you’ve been through it. I’m sorry about your dad.

That line progression looks good. I’d wait for the beta results now. At the moment, you’re pregnant, that’s something to hold onto

ASGIRC · 03/08/2023 15:25

@Charming81 theres a definite line progression!
Its up to you if you continue testing, but only if it doesnt stress you out! If it does, then just wait for the beta.

@Hi83 I noticed my first squinter after my 4dpt test, but I wasnt sure it was an evap line, as I only saw it after the test was dry. Same with the 5dpt.
Afterwards I could see a line during the supposed time, but only got stronger after 7dpt.

ASGIRC · 03/08/2023 15:27

Feeling a bit like death warmed up, not helped by the fact that it is ABSOLUTELY freezing at work, and I onyl have a very very thin cardigan...

Im sure once I feel warm, and take a paracetamol, once Im home, I will feel better. I am going away for the weekend, I can absolutely NOT be ill!

Testing absolutely stresses me out 😂😂😂 But I can't stop for some reason 🙄

ASGIRC · 03/08/2023 16:36

Got home, took my temperature... 37.3. This is HIGH for me. My usual temp is around 35.5/36, so I knew I had a fever... Have taken some paracetamol and hope it gets better soon

Obviously I was also googling listeria symptoms and have convinced myself thats what it is (though I have clear common cold symptoms since yesterday), because sometimes I do catastrophise...

Why listeria in the specific?!
