I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

@IVF23 sorry to hear you are disappointed but you are right, "it only takes one" so super 🤞🏻and hopefully the small ones have caught up a bit

Think it's so hard isn't to know what to expect or hope for as can hear such a variance of eggs collected figure and then the day 3 and 5 figures, I feel lucky that ABC give the updates throughout as heard some clinics don't. Also seeing about fresh transfer not going ahead if lots of eggs due to risk of OHSS.

Are you going to be working between the EC and transfer date or having work as a busy focus?

Also can I ask what IU of bemfola you were on?

@ttcsolomumtobe yes it’s hard to know, and with mild ivf apparently that’s a pretty normal figure. I’m trying to remind myself that number doesn’t equal quality, as I’ve seen from this forum. I’m on 150 of bemfola- how about you? They started on a low dose due to being slim and no known issues as we are unexplained.
I’m going to be off work. I’ve got quite a stressful job and just thought some downtime would be best. My manager has been really great with it all luckily. How about you?

Thanks for explaining, that's good to know so I can try set my expectations. When I asked about egg sharing they said it's the same amount of medication so that made me hopeful that 8 could be a normal number. Did they increase your dosage or leave it at that? I'm on 225, I'm just at the required BMI for ABC my pens only go to 225 so not sure they will increase it.

That's great to hear your manager has been great, it's what you need. My work have been decent too, I will get paid appointment time (my 2 so far have fallen as days off ha) and my sickness will be paid and protected, so won't class against any triggers. At this point said I would like to work though it if possible and just do other duties (I WFH on the phones but want to be available for calls after EC). Think I will gauge each day how I feel, but not guna push myself. If I need to be off then I will do so.

@ttcsolomumtobe ah ok you’re on quite a higher dose then. 8 is definitely possible. I had uneven growth, with 2 developing very quickly, so that’s why they decided to not increase the dose and focus on those that are responding. They said that’s an approach they take now rather than focussing on trying to get the small ones to catch up, as then sometimes you can lose those that have responded well and quickly.

I’m glad your work is being supportive too! Definitely, I’ve just said I’ll take a day at a time and see what I need.

you must only be a few days behind me? So your collection could be soon too I guess.

What they say makes sense re that and hopefully some of the smaller ones will catch up before Wednesday. Which for you will be CD13. It's good they have been able to give you so much notice on EC. How are you feeling re the EC? Sorry remind me, is this your first cycle?

I'm 4 days behind you, bit concerned about when Egg Collection will be though as my clinic don't do it on a Tue/Thurs (this is so no transfers on a Sunday) and think they avoid EC on a Sunday also, but I was reassured if they need to open to do it on a certain day they will. Feel like Wednesday (CD 9) or Friday (CD 11) could be too early but then Monday (CD 14) or Wednesday (CD 16) could be late.

Will ask at my appointment on Monday about the size of the follicles. Hopefully will be a bit more insightful. Had a 7.30am appointment so tbf felt half asleep and just glad there wasn't any shocking news.

Did your clinic give you the extra meds at your appointment?

@IVF23 sorry forgot to say, I think day by day is the best way to approach it. I'm such a planner usually so the thought of day to day makes me anxious but know I need to be able to let myself take a slower pace and just seen where I'm at.

Defo feel more tired, not sure if it's the meds doing it, the relief feeling that it's all finally started and the injections haven't been the absolute horror I expected but definitely don't expect that part to ease up the further into the cycle.

@GCS34 I think we're in quite a similar situation - I've got collection on Monday too now, also around 40 follicles, buserilin trigger and definitely a freeze-all because of oestrogen levels. I'm a bit disappointed but hopefully at least they can get lots of nice eggs from this! Do you know what time yours will be yet? I'm expecting a call from the nurses later to tell me timings and I'm nervous!

@ttcsolomumtobe hey! Yea I was in July group but I lost track so much happening 🙈thought I’d move over to august since my period was slightly delayed making my transfer later. Sounds like your cycle is going well so far hope it continues and you have a good scan on Monday 🤞I’m not sure if this is relevant in your situation but they did mention doing a day/so without stimulation medication and only fyremadel (to prevent ovulation) if my OHSS got worse before egg collection so that might be an option if your collection falls on a day your clinic doesn’t do them? Hope they confirm more details on Monday for you! I like knowing these things in advance too, makes you feel slightly more in control 🫣

@GCS34 how did your scan go today? Still looking good for triggering and collection on Monday?

I had my scan this morning and they confirmed transfer on Tuesday 😁 just have three ovitrelle injections to give and that’s it.

@ttcsolomumtobe ah that’s difficult re collections and transfers only on particular days. They must have good ways of working around it though 🤞🏻Hoepfully you’ll get some more info on Monday. Yes, I picked up more meds after my scan on Friday that see me through to the planned collection day. Yes this is my first cycle, nearly 2 years ttc and glad things are finally moving forward.

@EmmaLHG oh wow yeah twinning! Well I went today and now have 44 but they’re pushing me for another 2 days of stimming and now I’m weds for collection!! They’ve given me the same trigger which sheds your lining. I’m really disappointed too so I feel you 😞😢 I Jusy don’t know why they’re pushing me another 2 days. I’m already big enough and have enough. Honestly I dunno what they’re doing. Have you heard from the clinic?

@Loulaki thanks girl. But the mentalists want me to keep being stimmed for another 2 days. Collections weds now. 😭😓 I want them out of me god damn it! And obvs now on a freeze all. How are you getting on?

Hey @Ellenn howd your scan go?? Please tell me you ovulated!! Let me know how you get on. So exciting transfer could be this week! How’d you feel? How long have you had off?

I mentioned in the other messages but now weds and they’re pushing me for another 2 days!! I’m so mad I just don’t understand why they want more and bigger! I’m so annoyed - mainly cuz I’ve started feeling icky today and really spacey. I really don’t want to have them in me anymore! These are todays scores on the doors…

@Ellenn thanks for explaining re the dog of no stims, that cold be an option. &@IVF23 yea I'm sure they must have come across this before so hopefully I will know more on Monday.

@GCS34 wow that's incredible numbers, are your clinic not concerned about OHSS?I know you said it will be a freeze all but surely they need to look out for your health and recovery. May I ask what CD you are at the follicles chart above?

@ttcsolomumtobe yeah they’re really worried but they keep pushing me. My bloods are okay but they just want more big ones. 44 in total, with 27ish collection size. Think they’re aiming for 30 mature but we’ll see. I just really don’t wanna go anymore but I guess I have to trust them.
o think because my bloods are fine they’re pushing me for more. And based on how I felt when I was in today think they’re just wanting a bit more.

today is stim day 13. Tomorrow day 14. They’re pushing for 50 IMO as I feel okay atm so they’re just giving me some more. I’m in for another scan Monday and trigger Monday. So that is where things could go very wrong once triggered. Fingers crossed not tho.

Hi all! I hope it's okay to jump on this thread. I've just started my pill to induce a period and will be having a frozen transfer in August. How is everyone getting on?

@GCS34 are your follicles growing quite slowly? My clinic wanted them over 18mm ideally for the trigger. I have 6 over that but I'm only on day 6 of stims, so they're worried the follicles will get too big if I wait another day. Perhaps with you they're able to judge things a bit more precisely to get the perfect moment...? It does seem a bit odd to wait though, particularly if you are already uncomfortable! Hang in there, not long to go now!

@LavenderJoy this is perfectly normal.

It sounds like a busy week for the thread. I have my final scan this week and hopefully collection too. For me the upcoming week is the bit I absolutely dread - waiting for the numbers updates (collection, fertilisation, viability, seeing if any have made it to day 3 😔).

Good luck for your egg collection, and yes I agree it's from egg collection onwards when it gets the most difficult and emotionally draining. I'm on day 3 of stimms and feeling the dread of what's to come already, but fingers crossed it all goes well for you.

Hi everyone, I’m due to start the downregging on Monday. First round of IVF and feel like I don’t know anything about it! Has anyone else taken notheisterone and Buserelin? I’m freaking out about feeling really unwell as I have a 2 yr old to look after on my own as my partner is away.

@Harrjenk hi, taking now Primolut (notheisterone) and they are really bad.. I am taking two every night and sleep bad, hot flashes, mood extremely low and like depression feeling, but thus all during night. Then during day better, physically too. At night I feel like menopause symptoms, want to divorce my husband and stop the whole process.. Then in the morning feeling better. Dr said it is not a common reaction but some women suffer mentally and I need just to do my best.
Also my first ivf, still need to take them till Monday including, then stimulation from 4th of August.

@GCS34 scan went ok and lining looking good to go 😁 although I feel like I’m just overthinking everything right now and freaking out what if we have the timing wrong 🙈

definitely let the clinic know if you don’t start feeling well. Not sure the bloods always correlates with OHSS though as my oestrogen levels didn’t get too high. Odd they are continuing for longer as my clinic triggers if at least x3 follicles > 17mm. Hang in there though not much longer to wait!

They said if I didn’t have OHSS then they could do an extra day or two and maybe get some more but I was happy to go ahead earlier (had quite a lot of follicles anyway). I had totally reached my limit and just wanted them out of there 🤣

@Ellenn great news 🙌 so you on for tf Tuesday still? What’s your lining saying? And what you worried about timing of? As in, time of the month, or time in your life 😂

Thank you and yeah I defo will. This morning I felt… weird. Like spacey? And really high heart rate and a bit just .. odd. Not sure how to describe it. Yeah I think it is because my biggest is 20 and the rest are 16-6, so they’re probably just wanting more over the line.

haha ditto! I feel the same. No more room at the inn! What symptoms were you feeling by that point for them to pull the trigger early?

@EmmaLHG hmmm yeah probably but that’s cuz I’m on a much lower dose than most due to the risk of ohss with me, based on the fact I have pcos, high amh, low bmi so I’m an ohss dream 😂

@GCS34 yes transfer is on for Tuesday 🫣 my lining was 7.8mm, I think they just need over 7mm?

tbh I said I’d had enough and didn’t want to have any more stimulation 🤣 but I was feeling really sick, couldn’t eat, or walk anywhere very fast as really breathless! Sounds like you are nailing it though and it definitely feels a bit better after egg collection, count down the days! Did they give you any info on timing for a transfer?

@GCS34 just feel like hardly any monitoring for natural cycle and worried my cycle is just going to be weird 🙈 I think I’m just being silly tbh and need to get over it. Also Feels so different taking almost no medication!
