I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

@Pinklady81 yea a double could impact it but if your last one was 12 days ago that's still a good while ago.

@ASGIRC thank you, thought I'd tag you to get exact info.... Would take forever to find the post again to double check it

@ttcsolomumtobe we’ve spoken about this separately but like you I also had 3x failed IUIs before starting IVF. And every time you get that negative test it’s so heartbreaking. And at the beginning I was clinging onto the idea that every little twinge like cramp I felt was a symptom and convinced myself I had more symptoms than I actually did so now I’m just trying to ignore my body 😂
I also started therapy / counselling and still have weekly sessions which has been so helpful.

Though I have to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever felt as low as I did when I was on clomid at the start of my IVF treatment. I feel like this is a safe space to share but I honestly was having suicidal thoughts it got so bad. Thankfully once I stopped taking them it got better but those were dark days 😳

@ASGIRC and @Pinklady81 i also tested after my transfer just to check that the trigger was definitely out of my system. When I take my first proper test I don’t want to have any doubts

I'm afraid I'm out ladies. HCG came back with a ten

Welcome @Pinklady81!! Another for the next week test club! I'm on a FET so not looking like a TF until end of september. What did your test say today? And did you say you're 12dp3dt? What trigger did you have also, as that can give different results

@Ellenn that make more sense! So was that a test you do at home, or the clinic? I need me some of these for when I FINALLY HAVE MY TRANSFER! Did you ever feel like you were just never going to get there? I feel like it's just a 'theory' and nothing will actually happen / work. Hopefully it's not just me! Yeah I agree on the lines - you can try and 'see' lines that aren't there otherwise. When will your 7 day scan be? Have you had one before if you don't mind me asking?

@GCS34 no I'm 7dp3dt and had a double trigger shot so could that still be in my system from 12 days ago? X

@GCS34 I used a medichecks one, if you use them make sure to tick no doctors comments as you get result faster! Also don’t buy yet as they quite frequently have sales, plus your clinic may offer it cheaper?

so excited for your transfer that’s amazing you have a timeline 🥳 bet it feels good you can now count down to getting an embryo cozy! Know what you mean by feeling so far away that was definitely me, super impatient!

I’m calling the clinic tomorrow so maybe they will let me know a scan date 🤞🤞🤞 I’ve had a 6 wk scan at my last transfer which was so nice to see wee heartbeat! Would really love to reach further along and get a baby though 🙈 I mean suppose it’s all of our dreams isn’t it 🤣

@DauntedAF im so sorry to hear about your result 😭 your tests looked so hopeful. It’s just horrible isn’t it having all the hope taken away xxx

@Doughnut89 I'm glad I didn't get clomid, my meds seemed okay thankfully, I mean I hope to not have to go through egg collection again but I wouldn't fear it if I had to and it was the same meds, but yea, ignoring everything that my body does or blaming progesterone.

@GCS34 right ... so yes 25th Aug and 30th Aug are my next dates sorry ! So not long now, I think we will be on very similar timelines I think @Steph186 is too??
Sorry I haven't been replying much ... very similar to you when something is in the diary it's so much easier to work too but without it it's just this void of unknown !

We are just going away for a short break glamping in Somerset but it's totally secluded and not Wi-Fi! So just time for me and husband to be us for a weekend.
Weight gain ugghhh me too ! I am usually good at keeping up some fitness but I just haven't had the motivation until this last week.
I am so surprised at my husband, before our ivf journey I swear he thought having a period meant you bled like Niagara Falls but he has gone away and really read up on stuff although he is very black and white about stuff he doesn't understand the sway in emotions, he knows why but sometimes doesn't get it's uncontrollable! How about yours ?
That's really interesting about testing, it's tricky because sometimes against all odds Mother Nature does her thing ... and sometimes she doesn't. I find TFP are really patient with explaining things though. If you don't mind me asking are you paying private or NHS? We were recommended TFP through the NHS when we found out we weren't eligible on the NHS.

I’ve been told today I’ve got mild/moderate OHSS, I’m over a week post EC but feeling much worse and much more swollen and utterly exhausted. I’ve got a bladder condition and unfortunately the stimulation caused my ovaries to push onto my bladder so I was also in urinary retention/ having to catheter which has caused an infection so glad we are not doing a fresh transfer

our 4BB that didn’t “survive” the PGTA by some miracle seemed to fix itself and recover over the weekend so we’ve had a 4BB , 4BC and 4CC PGTA should hear back in a few weeks.

we were very lucky our other embryo from our last cycle was 4AA, I think I’m going to take a break before my next cycle, I had a lot of stress going on whilst on injections and before EC (I’ve mentioned before but my little brother has leukaemia and was in hospital with sepsis at the time of injections) and I wonder if this has affected the gratings or if it’s just how it is and we were lucky last time:

@DauntedAF so sorry! As everyone else has said, take some time to process it all, it's such a heartbreaking process!!

I'm on the 2WW sounds like a lot of us are around the same date. My clinics 2WW is 14 days, even with a 5 day transfer.
I'm going to test on Friday, OTD being on Monday. I tested early with my last pregnancy and got a solid line 3 days before.

Still really wrestling with testing early or not!! Anyone else daily doing Google symptom checking?

So sorry its all been such a stressful experience for you!! I can't imagine the stress would have affected the gradings, from what I've read, a lot of the quality is determined a month or so before your cycle. I've heard others mention on here that their grading really has varied from egg collection to egg collection. It sounds like you still have a good set of embryos

@Chickencrazy3356 so glad to hear your 4BB fixed itself and you have a good batch of eggs. Sorry to hear about the OHSS and the issues that's caused with your bladder, some time for you and focusing on your recovery sounds good. I think we spoke in the July group about your Brother, I'm so sorry to hear things aren't well, I know Cancer is such a hard one, caring and supporting the patient while managing your own feelings on it is a mammoth task in itself, and then fertility on top. I have read multiple articles that stress doesn't impact egg quality.

@Justkeepmoving1234 you have the same OTD as me, although mine was a 3 day transfer. Would be keen to hear how your testing goes on Friday and the darkness of the line 🤞🏻 I'm guna hold out till OTD, partly cause of it being a day 3 nd wanting the result to be super clear, also feel I'm living on the happy PUPO side of the 2WW at present and want to enjoy it for aslong as possible. Avoiding googling. It not easy

@ttcsolomumtobe thank you so much that makes me feel much better that hopefully stress doesn’t impact on egg quality I think with this process you can worry or become fixated that if something has not gone perfectly then it’s because of stress etc

thank you so much for remembering my brother he’s out of hospital now so that has helped us all feel a lot less anxious ! We just need to wait to find out if he needs a bone marrow transplant and then once I know if I need to donate I can get our FET booked in

@Justkeepmoving1234 thank you for your reply , it’s such a minefield the IVF world and so confusing but feeling very blessed we have 3 embryos as my consultant originally said we may not even get one !

@Chickencrazy3356 I'm glad to hear his home, there nothing worse than the constant hospital visits and we do it because the love the person but it's always hard having convos about your day when you know they have been staring at the same 4 walls and probably had little sleep with machines beeping nearby and lights on through the night. I hope you are seeking emotional support yourself, specially if you may be giving marrow. I hope you don't mind me saying but do consider reaching out to charities such as Macmillan or BloodCancerUK if you need support or someone to chat to about that side of things.

I know from experience how hard it is delaying persuing your dreams due to helping someone else, even though you would do it many times over if needed as they mean the world to you. It almost feels like a double dose of grieving and guilty (although nothing to feel guilty about) if that makes sense 🩷 big hugs

@Loulaki oh wow that’s great. Are you medicated or are you doing natural like Ellen did? Vaguely remember you saying natural? from what I’ve read, it’s 2 weeks of estrogen, then scan to see where you’re at, then if you’re fully cooked, start progesterone for transfer. It still feels so far away. Does it to you? But yeah having a date makes it easier and more to focus on as we know nothing can happen before then. Makes it easier. Remind me how many Frosties you have?

that sounds dreamy!!! I love an off the grid holiday. Like center parcs used to be before they got WiFi in all the villas! 🙄 how far is Somerset from Portsmouth?

ditto on the exercise. I am really active usually (gym 4/5 times per week and walk loads), but I’ve not done any bar walking as I was so worried it would harm the egg quality and also Worried about torsion 🫣😳 went back to the gym last night and my legs are aching today!! 😅 did you start back yesterday? My husband is good bless him. Not sure he understands periods as such, Jusy knows that they hurt and they’re necessary evils! But he is so in tune with his emotions and mine - lucky that he’s very understanding and ‘gets’ it. That’s so cute on yours bless him. Think that’s a man thing - see a problem and have to fix it, even tho sometimes you just want to sob! We paid privately for ovulations induction IUI for 4 rounds previously while nhs funding cleared, but we’re now on our funding cycle now for ivf and get 1 round. How come you don’t qualify if you don’t mind me asking? They’re bullshit with some of their policies I swear
