I’m due to start my second round of FET in August so thought I would set up this group for some treatment buddies ❤️

Yea I think the non applicator ones and 2 at a time and I've be as done with them as you are ha.

If I was due to work the week of OTD I would defo be testing the Saturday before just to give me chance to deal with the result whatever it may be, but would rather wait and have the clear answer.

No I totally get what you mean, with all the positives popping up on the July group it was lovely for people but part of me did think "there has to be some negatives, the percentages are never this high so maybe I will have to be one of the negatives". Our mind can be our worse enemy at times. Hope this next week flies by for you!

@scaredynoob so pleased you had a transfer today 🎉. If you are already using ICSI it may be worth discussing with your clinic sperm quality tests like DNA fragmentation (oxidative stress) test, sperm chromosome test. Unfortunately there are no equivalent tests for eggs but artificial egg activation can boost low fertilisation rates, not all clinics offer it though.

I'm only 3dp5dt - anyone else impatient at how slowly the week is going, yet at the same time I will likely be too scared to test on my test day...

@ttcsolomumtobe they are only freezing the 1 that's a grade 1, and they are leaving the others to day 5 so I'm not left with anything to transfer, sorry i probably didn't word it well.

@Hopingforno2in2023 congratulations on passing your test and sorry to hear you have Covid, keeping eveyhting crossed for you that you can have your transfer.

Spoke to the clinic and my cycle is cancelled :( I stop the medication today and will have a withdrawal bleed. I then wait for my next period at which point I start the Testogel again. If I pay for the two scans I have had then this cycle won’t count and I will still have two left. And I just need to buy the meds I have already used. Gutted and wallowing a bit this afternoon, allowing myself caffeine and lots of sugar. Will get back on the wagon tomorrow.

So sorry @Hopingforno2in2023i hope you feel better soon. It’s definitely a treat yourself kinda evening…I would stretch it to a treat yourself weekend!

So sorry to hear about your cycle being cancelled due to positive COVID test. Sounds like a good plan paying for what you have used and the scans so far rather than losing a cycle. Yes chocolate and all the treats are deserved. Sending hugs

@ttcsolomumtobe i totally get you re seeing all the positives you just end thinking mmm there hasn’t been a negative yet maybe it’s me 🙈 I mean totally not rational but does go through my head too!

@Ellenn it's so hard isn't it as it's just numbers, stats and percentages and we all wanna be the lucky ones. In anything but fertility they give me reassurance and help me make sensible decisions.

@ttcsolomumtobe I’m the same so I feel ready and prepared, it’s good to know numbers suppose it’s the one thing you can control by trying to learn these things. My partner laughs at me cause I do slightly over analyse everything 🙈

Fertility stuff is just hard though I always seem to be on the wrong side of the numbers!

@GCS34 essentially I had to have my withdrawal bleed (tick) then a cycle of no hormones to let my body chill due to OHSS then start the hormones for FET after my next period (this may or may not be induced depending on if it arrives - PCOS period lottery!) hahah let me know if you get anywhere with demanding meds, it's killing me having to wait so long ! As each day goes by I am convincing myself it's not going to work and I have a bunch of rotten eggs in the freezer 🤣😂

Does anyone know how long it takes for a withdrawl bleed to happen?

I had my egg collection a few months ago, and had my first FET the following month (thankfully avoided OHSS, but really enjoyed the break from all of the hormones!). I was over the moon to get my bfp but unfortunately had a bleed at 6w5d and confirmed I’d miscarried. I’m getting ready to have another FET and would really like some company through the process!

@Steph186 amazing to have you on board ! When are you likely to have a FET? Are you on a natural or medicated cycle?

Sorry hugely insensitive of me.... so sorry about your miscarriage, this group just shows how fragile and what a game of lottery this process is. I hope this will be your month xx

@Lowo21 thanks and don’t worry! It was awful at the time but trying to put it behind us and stay positive for the next go! I was lucky in that I had the bleed and knew straight away what had happened, so it wasn’t a shock when epu confirmed it.

Like you say it’s this process and seeing everyone’s stories that shows exactly how fragile the whole process is, and yet so many people that don’t have to go through this never even realise!

it will be a medicated FET again, my cycles are wildly unpredictable! Finally testing negative after mc, so will call up in the next few days to set up the timeline, can’t wait to do the consents again 😩 😂
We’re thinking about maybe fitting in a short holiday first though, but really need to decide soon!
