@GCS34 not as excited as I was because the day 3 and day 5 results will feel even more key now and it will be undecided if it's a freeze all or fresh. I can still go ahead and do a fresh transfer as the "polyp/scaring" is under a cm but if I only had a few would I want to risk one? Yea it's on my womb lining, can I ask which clinic you used for your removal? I'm guna give some calls round this afternoon and check online but think alot are coming in at the £2500-3k.
Called my GP who is putting a referral in to NHS team who did the other removals to see if it's scarring they left but that could be a long wait too.

@Justkeepmoving1234 thank you for the hope and congrats on your first working. What a lovely twist of fate that would be re the FET around your Son's birthday, gotta be a good luck charm.... Also atleast there will be 3 months between birthdays... Always good went it comes to present buying ha!

@Hopingforno2in2023 hope your scan goes well on Tuesday. How you feeling about going through the stims with having a small one already?

Hi everyone, I dipped out for a little while as the oestrogen patches have made my mood drop, so I've been a bit low.

@Hopingforno2in2023 and @ttcsolomumtobe I know everyone's story is different, but to give you some hope. I had IVF in 2020, I was very slow to produce the eggs, I had to have an extra week of injections to get me there. I only had 8 eggs taken at EC, resulting in mix of 4 x 5 day A and B embryos and I got pregnant from my first embryo. Who will be 2 next week 🙂

A weird twist of fate might be that it looks like my FET might go ahead on my sons birthday next week. Which I'm hoping is a good sign! Just waiting for my scan tomorrow to see if my lining is thickening nicely, so we can go ahead.

Hope everyone is holding in there!

@Justkeepmoving1234 wow that’s a great result from 8! Well done ovaries you did good!! 😅 and happy birthday to embaby number #1 for next week.

how are you finding the estrogen? Are you on tablets and patches? We’re having a medicated FET in a few weeks once we find out todays outcome and I recover and my bloods come down. So love that your new embaby might be transferred on your sons birthday. That’s a sign! 🥰

@ttcsolomumtobe I know but like @Hopingforno2in2023 said - she had 8 eggs and got 4 top notch embryos. have faith. You couldn’t have done anymore remember that.

I use circle health group (https://www.circlehealthgroup.co.uk/) and booked a consultation to discuss it which was £200 and they did the removal there and then! Fingers crossed they can do the same. I’d opt for a FET if I was you - you don’t want to risk it as you say, and your health is more important right now. Easy for me to say as we didn’t have a choice but still

Nervous ttcsolo about how I will cope especially as it is the summer holidays but will just have to power through and try and stay calm.

Peonies19 · 02/08/2023 16:18

Hi everyone,

I've been feeling a bit low lately so I haven't been here much. My ivf got cancelled and took a detour for a iui instead. We were very hopeful this could be a blessing in disguise for us. They said I had 2 nice size follicles ( 18mm and 21mm) and all we need is just one. My boobs were so sore for almost 2 weeks thinking this is all going to be worth it when we get our bfp. Then my period came yesterday and its been very heavy with clots (sorry tmi). I was told it was going to be heavy because of the stim meds I was on for the ivf initially. I'm schedule to go back to the clinic for blood work tomorrow. I think we're getting ready to try again this coming cycle.

I hope everyone is doing ok.

IVF23 · 02/08/2023 16:59

Really sorry to hear this @Peonies19 it’s such a heartbreaking process, I hope you’re doing ok.

@ttcsolomumtobe sorry to hear about your polyp, I hope you can get it removed asap and it doesn’t interfere too much with ivf

@GCS34 @Helene2019 hope your collection went well.

I had collection first thing this morning. Now just the anxious wait for phone calls from the Embryologist!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 02/08/2023 17:14

@IVF23 how did yours go? I apparently was talking loads then said “when are you guys doing it!?” And they said we’ve done it. 😂🙈 did they tell you how many you collected? How you feeling now? And hey @Helene2019 how are you and how did you get on?

@Peonies19 really sorry you didn’t get your result 😔🤍 have they discussed next steps? Are they going to try ivf again with a different protocol so they up your response? And Was it your first attempted ivf round? How you’re okay and your period isn’t too painful from the meds. Xx

Hi All, I am hoping this is the right place to join. First IVF journey - 5dp egg collection doing freeze all due to OHSS 🤮🤢 just wanted to join a place to hear other people's journeys and help anyone going through this process. Looking at FET end of sept ! Please shout if I should be somewhere else !

Ellenn · 02/08/2023 20:37

@ttcsolomumtobe that must be so disappointing to find the polyp on your scan, do they think it might be in the same place where you had one removed? Fertility treatment is just the worst at throwing you curveballs isn't it 😥what have the clinic recommended about transfer do they think it might affect implantation? I hope they give you some guidance on deciding as that sounds like a tricky decision!

are you taking your trigger tonight? ivf is all such a gamble and 8 eggs still gives you a really good chance at getting embryos! you always hear of much higher ratio of embryos:eggs where less are collected. Definitely don't compare yourself to others too, plus if for some reason you don't get many embryos there is a MASSIVE variation on response between cycles.

@GCS34 and @IVF23, I think there is someone else too? sorry I'm loosing track! hope your collections all went to plan and you are resting your feet up! Waiting on the calls from the embryologist I feel is another awful step of treatment isn't it 😂

@Peonies19 so sorry to hear your period arrived, it never gets any easier does it. You would think the repetition of every cycle you get used to it but it's so difficult especially when you went through all the medication. Hope they are giving you some information of next steps cause I always find waiting for consultations the worst and overthink everything.

@Lowo21 hey! of course you are welcome to join here 😊hope you aren't feeling too bad with OHSS!

ttcsolomumtobe · 02/08/2023 20:57

@GCS34 thank for you the info. For me it's coming up at £2250 but good to know as a possible if the wait with my clinic is too long. When do you get your eggs collected and mature numbers?

@IVF23 how did you collection go and are you due a call this evening or tomorrow morning now.
Hope you are resting up both of you x

@Peonies19 sorry to hear your period arrived, must be disheartening after going through the IVF to change to an IUI.

@Lowo21 welcome! Sorry to hear it's a freeze all, hope you recovery quickly from the OHSS. Hope you got some good embryos retrieved and September comes round soon for you to start your FET

@Ellenn I trigger tonight just after midnight, been up since 5 due to doing morning cetrotide so guna feel shattered!
Because the polyp/scarring is less than a cm (it's 8mm) they have given me a choice to go ahead with a fresh or a freeze all cycle, they cannot say if it will impact implantation and researching, like anything fertility there's many cases for either side, will and won't impact so that isn't much help. They will look at it further when they do the egg collection to see if there is any growth or can get better pictures. And it is in exactly the same spot as before, like I've done a side by side of the scan from pre removal and from my scan today and the white mass is less (I had 2 showing, both removed) but it's the same spot which makes me feel so sure it's scarring, plus it was a trainee that did my hysteroscopy and l swear it felt that she hacked me inside 😂😫 but I saw the 2 polyp and they were both fully removed, they look like skin tags.

I think I will make the decision on Day 3 based on how many embryos I have and the quality. So much to weigh up really that it makes my head spin.

@Ellenn youre totally right and I’ve just googled for you @ttcsolomumtobe and the sweet spot for live births is 8-15 eggs, so you’re in the ideal catchment zone! How you feeling since being home?

thank you @Ellenn im in quite a lot of pain if I’m honest. I feel like I’ve been beat up. My stomach is killing and I feel really sore. They are ringing tomorrow to tell us how many of my eggs fertilised, and to check on me. And then I think I have to have bloods done on Saturday or something. How did you get on first day hosting the embaby?

@ttcsolomumtobe maybe book a consultation and see what they say? As I say mine did it there and then. Hope it helps anyway. The nhs is 4 weeks waiting list atm too btw - well, it was 3 weeks ago. I think making the decision on day 3 is good idea 😘

I’ve got my numbers of mature and find out fertilised in the AM.

ttcsolomumtobe · 02/08/2023 21:28

@GCS34 thanks for the info. It's so hard to not compare but I have gone into it knowing that it's mild IVF so the outcome could be less but hopefully good quality.

Re the consultant yes I may call them and see when there's availability, did they do a full 3d scan within the consult fee? As even that may give reassurance that there is or isn't something there.
The difficulty is there's no chance before my Day 3 on Monday when I need to make the decision to transfer or not. My feeling is if I have a good number of embryos then I would risk 1 and freeze the rest or if I only had one I would go ahead on day 3 as it could be a loss by day 5 or would need to pay to £1000 freezing cost for 1. That pays a big chunk towards another cycle.

the NHS consultant in my area who specialises in it has left and no replacement till October, if I can even get it done on NHS. Someone in another forum site has been declined NHS as she's doing Fertility privately.

Thank you for your suggestions though, all things taken on board, feel like my practical mind side has kicked in right now, which I guess is better than being sat crying about it.

ttcsolomumtobe · 02/08/2023 21:42

@GCS34 I have just checked the link for the procedure and the consultant, there only 1 possible consultant and available appointment before Monday and that would be 6 on Friday, day of egg collection but it's a 120mile round trip and it says the £200 is only for a consult and any scans will be booked at a later time and a further follow up required. I may call them tomorrow to find out if a general scan is covered under consultancy. I think if it was then I would go ahead and just get my Dad or friend to drive me, even though alot to do all in one day.

May check local services and see what their consult includes. Thanks again

@ttcsolomumtobe exactly. Quality outweighs quantity. They pre warned me before today that theirs a chance mine could be spread to thinly and not have good quality, so numbers aren’t always a good thing! Just control the controllables. Right now you can’t do anymore than you’ve already done and commuted - you couldn’t have done anymore! The rest is over to the science. Just hold your head high and remember that you’ve done so well already. Your bits done. 🤍

well, mine was identified on my smear test. I was getting severe bleeding post sex for about 2 months - like 3/4 days of bleeding after. I then had my smear and they found the culprit as it was on my cervix and was visible by eye. I had my ultrasounds with my fertility appointments and they couldn’t see anything in my lining so I think it was quite straight forward. They did an internal in my consultation at the private hospital and she removed it there and then. Maybe ring and speak to someone? Least then you know. And try not to cry or beat yourself up. Some things are completely out of our hands, and this is one of those things.

be kind to yourself. If it makes you feel any better I’m in a lot of pain post EC - it’s all round my abdomen. They’ve warned me I’m going to get at least mild ohss, but just got to be careful and on it. So I’m crying with you 😂😂😂

ttcsolomumtobe · 02/08/2023 22:15

@GCS34 thanks again for the kind words and yea, I know I've done everything I can to this point and the rest is truly science and luck now so that part of the process I'm okay with and a decision will be made at day 3.

I will call some private clinics closer to home tomorrow and ask them what is covered in the consult and my clinic is calling back as they are going to review the historic scan pics from 2019 the polyp couldn't be seen at hysteroscopy when it went ahead and 2022 when it could be seen at hysteroscopy and 2 were removed and see if this gives more insight but I'm certain they will just say the choice is down to me. Think that's almost the hard part, if I was forced to do a freeze all due to the size of the polyp or if it was 100% certain or risk of OHSS then the decision is totally out of my hands, with this it's my choice to make, defo the hard part of doing this solo.

Roll on trigger time so I can get it done and jump in bed and not have a 5am alarm going off for morning injection 😂 ... I will be WFH in my PJs tomorrow that's for sure ha roll out of bed just before 8! I'm defo being kind to myself, I know my mental health and sanity is worth more than a few months wait or a few grand but it's still gutting.

I hope your swelling goes down and your electrolytes arrived and you are on those! are your team calling you with numbers tomorrow or did they give them to you post EC? And we're you in there for an hour in the end? Share all your tips for post EC recovery.

@ttcsolomumtobe exactly. You can rest in the peace that you couldn’t have done more. You’re doing an incredibly brave thing and don’t let the pesky polyp side track you from that. Science and a fuck load of luck 😂

That’s a good idea. Was that a private clinic or on the nhs? And absolutely. Trigger at midnight then turn off that 5am alarm!! I’m defo working inmy pjs tomorrow too so pj party all round. Where do you live? Also, if you do have to do a freeze all, you don’t have to shove pessaries up your foof for a few more weeks 😅

i have my numbers of mature already, and have my fertilised number between 8am - 12pm tomorrow, so nice and early hopefully!! And I had cottage pie for tea and it was like an internal hug. Recommend that 😂 that’s about it!

ttcsolomumtobe · 02/08/2023 22:44

My previous hysteroscopies were NHS.

I'm trying to find pros for each fresh or frozen transfer, think really between now and Wednesday I just need to focus on rest and making sure I'm in the best place mentally to make the decision. Re pessaries, on a fresh transfer so you start those after EC or after transfer do you know? I live in Yorkshire, you?

Do you think you will share your numbers when you find out more or keeping them a bit close to your chest till you know your day 5. As you are doing a freeze all do you clinic take them to day 3, 5 or a mixture of both before freezing?

My clinic advised on a freeze all that they freeze one at day 3 and the rest at day 5.

@ttcsolomumtobe I spoke to my embryologist today about FET Vs. Fresh and she said the numbers are exactly the same, if not slightly better odds with a FET due to the body being in a stronger place to receive the embryo. And America they only do fet because of getting the body back and strong. Not to sway you of course. You do you!

I think will share once I have the day 3 update. Also feel a bit guilty sharing how many when some aren’t as happy as they wanted to be with theirs. Not that mine is a ‘rub your face in it’ number but I just don’t think it helps anyone to compare so I’ll update you once we know more progress. My clinic only freeze day 5 A-C

Thank you @ttcsolomumtobe . Its hard to be let down time after time even though we know the success of iui is slim though our odds increases each time we tried and we have tried 4x already so I was really hoping this was going to be our cycle. This cycle of iui was not planned but the doctor said it was a good cycle for it because I was on the ivf meds so we went for it.
