CD day 1 today. Oh my effing god! So bloody painful! TMI but I’m so heavy, much more so than normal. Those norethisterone pills are bloody terrible!!!

Stims start tomorrow though, scan on Monday.

How is everyone today?

I’m currently stressing about getting some FRER’s as I only have 2 and wanted to start testing early but they seem to be out of stock everywhere 😭

I think I have one frer left somewhere. I’m going to try and not test. I spotted really early last time so I suppose if that happens again I’ll know it’s a no go.

Seriously, this period is horrible. Once I finished work and went for a very slow walk I went to bed, got out of bed for dinner and I’m back in it. If this doesn’t work I am 100% asking for something different next time. I’ve got fuck all work done today, just lots of heavy breathing. I must sound like I’m in bloody labour with the breathing. God knows how I’m going to work tomorrow! Although my manager has said I can WFH throughout injections so at least I’ll be able to sit in my pjs!

@Lauralozzle The earliest delivery form Amazon is the week after next so too late 😬 I’ve ended up ordering some cheapy strips and hope they’ll do me until OTD 🤞🏼

I thought early spotting was a good sign as could indicate implantation?

It does sound awful 😞 hopefully the worst has passed today and it’ll ease off a little tomorrow 🤞🏼

Waiting for my 4th transfer which has been booked for Thursday, it’s my second FET so I know the drill.
@Lauralozzle I hope your AF eases within today and you manage to get some work done, hopefully your workload will take you mind off the pain.

Thank you! I stupidly tested today (4dp5dt) and got a negative 🙈 I know it’s too early but I can’t help feeling a bit deflated 😓

Think I slept for England last night. I expect it’ll be horrible and heavy/painful today but if it follows it’s normal pattern I should feel much better tomorrow.

@Brown269 Yes today I start stims. Interested in how I’ll respond. Instead of 300iu Ovaleap I’m on Gonal F 150iu and Meriofert 75iu.

Consultant said 300iu might have been a bit much for one ovary. So hoping those eggs grow evenly this time and for a bit longer. I only stimmed for 9 days before!

Hi can I jump on this thread? I am currently 5dp3dt , this is my second round feeling a bit worried I have zero symptoms, I can conceive naturally and so can my partner but he had a Vesectomy and then had it reversed which failed so we are not having to use aspirated sperm to do ivf Icsi, so I was optimistic my first time round and even egg shared, but this time I kept all my eggs I had 10 retrieved 3 fertilised and I was only left with 1 grade a 8 cell for 3 day transfer.

I been scanning these pages the past 3 days and just plucked up the courage to also join a thread.

@Lauralozzle I’ll keep everything crossed for you 🤞🏼❤️ How are you feeling about the injections? Do you feel more relaxed having done them before or find it more daunting because you know what to expect?

Im in a similar boat - we had icsi due to DH having blocked tubes so had to have SSR. Currently 4dp4dt and struggling 🙈

@Brown269 I’m fine about the injections. I was really sore towards the end last time but I had been injecting buserelin before that for 6 weeks. I can easily do 2 weeks :)

@Brown269 4dp5dt is too early to test so try not to be deflated. I can see how you would feel that way, I'm a serial early tester!

Sorry, I don't know much about where you both are in your cycle as I haven't read the older thread.

@SH998 It is my second go. I’m feeling ok. I’ve had a few dark moments, but I’m happy to just be getting on with it. I am hoping the change in meds will do the trick. We’re also using AOA and zymot chip this cycle too and I’ll be honest, I’m pinning a lot of hope on them!!!

Thursday is just around the corner. How are you feeling? Are you doing anything different for this FET?

@Lauralozzle Good luck this time around, I hope the changes will make a difference to you. No matter how many times it never seems to get easier does it. I've had 2 fresh and this will be my second FET so 4 transfers in total (from 2 collections). I'm lucky enough to have 2 frozen after Thursdays transfer so still have a few attempts ahead of me.
They have added additional eostrogen and progesterone this time around so like you I'm pinning my hopes on these changes working.
As for Thursday, I'm trying not to think about it, that way I will be kind of prepared for the negative results. Last transfer I absolutely convinced myself it would work, we had 2 A grade embryos implanted and neither took which hit me hard. This time I'm being more cautious but still doesn't make it any easier when its on your mind 24/7.

@SH998 Fingers crossed the extras work and do their trick! You’re right, it doesn’t get easier, you can know the drill and be ok with side side of it but the suspended hope is exhausting.

First injections tonight. They were fine, mixing the meriofert was a bit of a faff and DH cut himself when snapping the top of the vial off but I barely felt the needles. Nice little mark where they were though! I’ve got to do them in my own tomorrow because he won’t be back in time from work.

@Brown269 I’m so sorry. Urgh, IVF is so shit! Rest up, take the time you need before you start thinking about next steps. Easier said than done though. Was it your official test date today?

@Lauralozzle It really is shit! I’m at work unfortunately so having to put on a brave face until I can go home and have a good old cry!
My OTD isn’t until next Tuesday but because I did natural I knew I’d come on before then if it didn’t work anyway, I was due in tomorrow so at least it’s come a bit earlier to stop me getting my hopes up if it came late 😭

@Lauralozzle How are you getting on with injections ?

@Brown269 Injections are fine. Had to do them myself last night, DH was away with work, which was a bit strange and I’m glad DH will be able to do them all from today.

My heart isn’t in work at the moment, I’m literally turning up and doing the bare minimum. I don’t have the energy to do anything other than that. Feel a bit bad about it to be honest. I wish I was one of those people who can just get stuck in and forget about everything but all I do is think about IVF. I wish I was one of those people who could just quit work to focus on ivf but you know, it costs a shit ton so that’s a no!

@Lauralozzle You’re braver than me being able to inject yourself!

Yeah I get what you mean, I’m lucky that I can get away with doing the bare minimum (and sometimes even less than that!) at work, but I am an office worker so I still have to talk to people face to face without them knowing I have such huge things going on which is bloody hard!

Paid leave for ivf would be ideal wouldn’t it?!

Transfer went well, now the dreaded tww starts.

@Brown269 sorry to hear that your transfer failed, was it your first? I’ve been there a few times and it’s heartbreaking every time. Hopefully next time will be your time.
@Lauralozzle how you finding doing the meds yourself? It will get easier in time. I was luckily enough not to have to use them this time around but am using Lubion which I’ve never used before. For some reason the after pain is worse with them, I find myself walking around work with my trousers undone not to rub on my stomach.

Yeah first transfer for me! I stopped bleeding yesterday, then had a bit more last night then nothing in the night, it’s so frustrating 😖 But I am due on today so hopefully I’ll get full flow today so I can draw a line under this one 🤞🏼

Hope your TWW goes well!! I really struggled with this bit, I definitely won’t be win a rush to do it again 😬
