I’m sorry if I’ve missed people off but there’s no more space on the previous thread.

CD day 1 today. Oh my effing god! So bloody painful! TMI but I’m so heavy, much more so than normal. Those norethisterone pills are bloody terrible!!!

Stims start tomorrow though, scan on Monday.

How is everyone today?

@User491 Im good thank you :) we don’t have our review appointment until late September so just taking some time away and re-thinking how we go forward now our nhs funded round is over 😬

@Lauralozzle Thats sounding very positive! Good luck with your transfer tomorrow and 🤞🏼 you have another for the freezer 😃

SH998 · 28/07/2023 11:55

@Lauralozzle good luck tomorrow, please keep us updated. Ill keep everything crossed it goes well for you :)

Lauralozzle · 28/07/2023 12:07

@Brown269 @SH998 I will do!

@Brown269 Do you think you’ll stay at the same clinic? A nice break is a good idea, I’m glad we had a bit of a break before this round thinking back on it. My headspace is much better now - I think I was a bit depressed after the failed round so the forced 3 month gap that really turned into a 4 month gap helped.

OP posts:
Brown269 · 28/07/2023 15:06

@Lauralozzle I think so, I’m really not happy with them to be honest but they’re cheaper than private and we would have to pay to have DH’s sperm & our remaining embryos transferred to a new clinic which I’d be concerned about.
Yeah I think we’re gonna take a step back for a while, we have a big family holiday booked next year so think we may wait until after that and then start saving to go again!
Im glad you’re in a better headspace after a break 🥰 this process definitely had the power to plummet you in to depression doesn’t it!

User491 · 29/07/2023 13:05

@Lauralozzle that's amazing news, good luck for today! Let us know how you get on 🥰

@Brown269 bless you, I do think you do need the break. I was so sure last time that I wanted to go straight back in and if I had the choice I probably would have, but I do think my body and us 2 needed the rest tbh.

The family holiday will be something to look forward too, and it's nice to know you have the embryos waiting for when the time is right 😊

Lauralozzle · 29/07/2023 13:38

Transfer done ✅

We also have one frozen! Will get a call tomorrow about the other two.

I got my 50% I’m pleased with that

OP posts:
SH998 · 29/07/2023 14:26

@Lauralozzle woohoo that’s great news, I bet your over the moon with that 🎉

Fingers crossed tomorrows call will be a positive one.

Lauralozzle · 29/07/2023 14:32

Fingers crossed. I’m beginning to doubt myself now, I’m sure they said one frozen in the theatre! it was only very slightly worse than the one transferred today. Which means our quality is much better this time around.

OP posts:
SH998 · 29/07/2023 14:37

@Lauralozzle lol what a time to tell you, in theatre! Mine told me just before we went into theatre. If your unsure give them a call.

Great to hear both are of similar good quality, don’t forget they wouldn’t freeze them if they didn’t think they were good enough.

Good luck.

User491 · 29/07/2023 15:35

Aww @Lauralozzle wonderful news, so happy for you! Fingers crossed for the other two also!

Congratulations on being PUPO 🥰

Lauralozzle · 30/07/2023 15:21

Thanks both.

I had day 6 update today. So we have 2 frozen, one from yesterday and one today. I’m pleased with that after last time!

OP posts:
User491 · 02/08/2023 08:31

@Lauralozzle wow that is incredible! What a turn around from the last cycle! Hopefully this one sticks and then you have the others in the freezer for the future 😊🤞🏻

How are you feeling? When is your test date?

Lauralozzle · 02/08/2023 09:17

@User491 I’m feeling okay, although I’m nervous. I’ve just gone through the last thread and screenshot my last TWW so I have something to compare it to!

Transfer went ok, although my bladder wasn’t quite full enough. Still managed to transfer though. The embryo was better quality so I’m chuffed about that.

All my symptoms are really related to the progesterone. Sore boobs (had that last time), cramping - some twinges around the ovaries, a couple of sharpish cramps yesterday and Monday, so 2dp5dt and 3dp5dt. Looking back in what I wrote, I had cramping this stage too. Boobs are still sore but not as sore as they were Monday, but I’m still very aware of them especially in the evening.

I recoded backache last time. Not got that, and cramping today has massively died down so far. Still early though.

It’s difficult to know. I’m in the implantation stage dates wise but I haven’t felt anything that could be called that. But then again, most people don’t!

Test date is 11th August. I’m thinking of testing 9dp5dt. That should give a fairly reliable answer.

How are you?

OP posts:
Brown269 · 02/08/2023 09:35

Will be keeping everything crossed for you @Lauralozzle 🙌🏼

User491 · 04/08/2023 12:19

@Lauralozzle hope your ok!

You know the bladder thing, I wasn't told about that and had a wee beforehand, they didn't mention that it wasn't full enough or anything, I'll be more cautious this time (long as we have something to transfer 🤞🏻)

Progesterone is a nightmare for all the symptoms! So stressful 😭
I just wanted to eat all the time on them 😂
Yeh our clinic use the 9 days after for test date so that will be pretty reliable.
Have you tested at all to see if the trigger was gone?

It's making me nervous all the thoughts of the waiting etc 🙈

I'm ok thanks, was there yesterday for first stims scan.. tbh I can't remember from my first round of what they found was good or bad.. do you know the rough sizes from your scan?

I have on right side 1 at 12mm and 1 at 10mm, then left 2 at 9mm and 1 and 11mm there is some smaller ones on each side that they didn't count/measure as they were smaller.
That was day 7, but only had 6 doses of stims at that point.
It's stressing me out wondering if that's good or not 🙈😂

Lauralozzle · 04/08/2023 12:27

@User491 I think at first stims scan one was about 13 and others below ten. Still very much early days!! I’ve not tested out the trigger, but I will have taken it 2 weeks ago come this Saturday so should be out of my system by then! I was apologising about the bladder! Saying I do need a wee I promise lol! Consultant said needing a wee means nothing! Haha!

OP posts:
User491 · 04/08/2023 13:32

@Lauralozzle ok thanks, hopefully all will be ok 🤞🏻

Ah yes will defo be out your system by then. Your doing well not to cave, I couldn't help myself 🙈😂

😂😂😂
I'll make sure I have a fuller bladder this time, to be honest I was bursting when I got there, then had a 45 minute wait, then as soon as the transfer was done I needed another wee so I assume there was enough in there 😂

Do your clinic grade the embryos?
Ours didn't really, it was just excellent, good, average and poor

Lauralozzle · 04/08/2023 14:04

@User491 They don’t really, or don’t share them anyway. I know that this transfer was a full blastocyst and the quality would be good enough to freeze. I know that one of the frozen ones is also a full blastocyst and the day 6 frozen one is an expanded blastocyst and is good quality. I know when they called the blasts were still early so they couldn’t grade them then.

On the basis that the previous round was one poor quality blast that wouldn’t have been good enough to freeze I’ll take that!!

I think part of why I’m not bothering with testing is because I started spotting last time 7dp5dt and that would be 12dpo which would also be when my period would naturally start. So, I’m holding out to see if spotting starts on Saturday.

Reading through the first thread, I was very PMSY and crampy at this point and it felt like my period was about to start. My boobs had completely stopped being sore.

Boobs are mildly sore, but don’t feel like they’ve deflated! I was barely cramping yesterday, barely cramping today so I do feel a bit different but every round is different and it could just be because I’m using more progesterone this time! When I do cramp it’s more like a throbbing in a specific part near the ovaries, left one more so than right one, rather than the full dull ache that comes with my period.

OP posts:
Lauralozzle · 05/08/2023 07:09

It’s not looking good for me.

Last cycle, by 7dp5dt I had started spotting and my boobs completely stopped being sore. Was the start of my period, which was trying to start, but the progesterone stopped it starting properly.

Today I’m 7dp5dt and I’ve spotted some pink on the applicator when using the pessaries this morning. I know that spotting can be normal but this is too much like last time. Boobs are less sore today. I’m still going to test on Monday which is 9dp5dt but it’s not looking good.

OP posts:
SH998 · 05/08/2023 07:33

@Lauralozzle I spotted light pink between days 5-10 and thought this meant bad news but it doesn’t always so you might not be out yet 🤞🏼

Also my boobs have been on and off all through this pregnancy to the point I panicked and paid for HCG testing to check my levels. It is still early days and anything can happen but as of today I’m still pregnant and have barely any boob soreness.

All women/pregnancies are different so hang on in there x

Lauralozzle · 06/08/2023 07:49

I’m bleeding today. Dark red, tiny clots, light flow but boobs completely normal now and I woke up to period cramps. I don’t think it’s worked this time at all.

I was spotting pink at this point last failed cycle. If I wasn’t in the middle of a cycle, I’d be calling today CD1.

I’m still going to test tomorrow, but I’m pretty sure it’s a BFN.

I just don’t understand why I don’t make it through the 2WW.

OP posts:
User491 · 06/08/2023 08:24

@Lauralozzle aww I am so sorry, I really hope it's not your period, but at the same time I don't want to give you false hope.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

I hope you have a lovely chilled day planned ❤️

Lauralozzle · 06/08/2023 08:41

@User491 Thanks. I know, I hope it’s not either I’m just pretty sure it is. I had false hope last time, and it’s heavier than it was at this point last time so there is pretty much no hope.

Just told DH I’ve started bleeding and I don’t think it’s worked. He’s gone very quiet. I don’t know what to do or say when he goes quiet. It’s like he just shuts off.

I’m just a bit numb to this all now. It hurts and I’m sad but I just feel like this is completely futile and I don’t know why we’re bothering because it just doesn’t work.

OP posts:
SH998 · 06/08/2023 09:29

@Lauralozzle gutted to hear this, it doesn’t get any easier does it.

Please don’t give up hope and keep trying, it’s probably the last thing you want to do right now but you have 2 frozen so that in itself is an improvement on last time.

Lauralozzle · 06/08/2023 09:44

@SH998 We won’t stop trying. Our package includes unlimited FETS, so we’re covered for those two just need money for the meds and another egg collection plus transfer plus FETS (if any).

Think I’m going to book a holiday for September after OTD. Going away to Germany helped last time just to have fun and enjoy ourselves, doing things we love doing. Will be a uk break with the dog, but should be something to look forward to and reset, so to speak.
