Hello!

Just wanted to start a thread and see if anyone was going ahead with a transfer in July.

I've just had my nurse consult and hoping to have my second FET in July (my first was successful in Jan 2021 and I had my wonderful DD).

The first time around I was of course beyond nervous, excited, terrified it wouldn't work etc. This time it feels like that's doubled! I'm a private patient so I've saved everything for this but should it fail, it'll be a long long time before I could afford to try again.

To add some nerves, I'd need to be cycle day one no later than the 6th July to go ahead, as my clinic is moving locations. I'm currently due on the 5th...! So every chance it's moved to a Sept cycle.

Would be nice to have some company!

:)

@Walker12 I have everything crossed for you to have good news soon! 🥰

I can't afford private beta's unfortunately :(

Walker12 · 23/07/2023 08:54

Thank you, so many hurdles aren't there!!

I realised I suggested that without any knowledge of how much a private beta costs or how accessible they are! I hope you have something nice planned today to distract yourself with

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 09:10

@Walker12 They can go up to about £90 for one! 😱

Walker12 · 23/07/2023 09:25

@TheBirdintheCave that's ridiculous, I swear there is a lot of commercialism around fertility/pregnancy as people are understandably desperate so will pay 😑

Embryologist just called and we have a blastocyst to transfer today and three to freeze! Feeling so lucky as if it doesn't work this time the frozen transfers will be covered by our NHS round. I didn't ask about grading or anything as was just so relieved. Will update after transfer!

wtawtaw · 23/07/2023 09:27

Great news @Walker12 ! Hope all goes well for your transfer today!! Exciting 😄

wtawtaw · 23/07/2023 09:29

@TheBirdintheCave sorry to hear all this is giving you mind games! Has your OTD passed?

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 09:30

Well it's perhaps a tad darker than this morning and came up a little quicker. Same with the Easy@Home. Just waiting for everything to dry now so I can take comparison pics. I did the digi for fun too and got 1-2 weeks so I know HCG is at least over 25.

@wtawtaw OTD is Tuesday but I feel like the tests are definitely stalling now.

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 09:31

@Walker12 That's fantastic news! What a huge relief for you to know it's all covered 😬

SH998 · 23/07/2023 09:33

@TheBirdintheCave i really hope it’s another dodgy test 🤞🏼. Try to keep positive, you still have that second line so that’s still a huge plus.

ttcsolomumtobe · 23/07/2023 09:42

@TheBirdintheCave FRERs are available on Amazon, next day delivery with prime. I can promise you this as I ordered some Friday and arrived yesterday.

(I ordered some the week before but used them with getting worried my period hadn't arrived yet 😂)

I actually feel like the testing part is giving people living hell, even reading it makes me anxious for you guys and for myself.

Hope you get some clarity soon @TheBirdintheCave

ttcsolomumtobe · 23/07/2023 09:44

@Walker12 that's fantastic news! I hope all goes well for your transfer

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 10:56

@SH998 It won't be unfortunately.

@ttcsolomumtobe Not for Sussex seemingly. I looked for them yesterday and they were only available for delivery to me for Wednesday. At this point I don't think it would make a difference anyway :)

I've attached the ClearBlues from 7dpt and 9dpt so you guys can see what I mean in terms of no difference.

@TheBirdintheCave I know it's an awful awful time but don't give up hope yet! I've attached my lines from my pregnancy with my daughter. My faint line on day 6 disappeared until day 8 and even then was only the same colour as far as I could tell. I had to get my husband to hide all my tests so I couldn't test again until day 10 and it was only then that they started to get a bit darker. I don't love the clearblue tests for the blue dye and the evap lines they leave - your digi test result is fab news! Hold on to that and if you can find the willpower, maybe skip a day. x

Hope you are doing OK @TheBirdintheCave ❤️ are you going to hold off testing until Tues??

My transfer is done, feeling positive but really not looking forward to the testing part. My OTD is 5th Aug and I had 10000 gonasi trigger which I haven't really tested out, so might try to hold off as long as I can.

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 15:18

Sorry guys I was in a dead zone for signal all day.

I won't test until Tuesday now though we might call the clinic tomorrow to let them know what's going on.

@loulamay Wow what amazing tests and progression you had! I wish mine was anywhere near that but I think I need to accept that this isn't going anywhere and plan for a new transfer asap.

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 15:19

@Walker12 Good luck! I'm glad your transfer went well! 😬

ASGIRC · 23/07/2023 15:30

@Walker12 congrats on the transfer!!!

@TheBirdintheCave Im sorry youre feeling like that.

How many days post transfer are you?

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 15:50

@ASGIRC 9dp5dt today.

ASGIRC · 23/07/2023 16:17

@TheBirdintheCave thats still early days for such doom and gloom! You have a positive!!!
Lets see what happens on Tuesday. But for now, what you do have is a positive.
But do call your clinic tomorrow and talk to them about it!

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 16:21

@ASGIRC Well the line has been there since Wednesday and is no longer developing so it's definitely not great news 😅 At this point I'm just hoping it passes quickly if it's going to and I don't have to go through another five weeks of torture.

ASGIRC · 23/07/2023 16:25

@TheBirdintheCave people have had disappearing lines in those days, so I wouldnt throw in the towel just yet.
But talk to the clinic!
Why dont they do betas?

TheBirdintheCave · 23/07/2023 16:52

@ASGIRC I'm really not sure why they don't. I'd just assumed it's something that would happen but then it wasn't on the 'what happens next' sheet 🤷🏻‍♀️

ASGIRC · 23/07/2023 17:11

@TheBirdintheCave So you just call them on Tuesday (Im assuming thats your OTD) and, what? Say you have a positive easy@home test?? And they dont bother investigating how high your hCG is?

I would definitely call them tomorrow anyway.

Im a bit worried my clinics OTD is really early. Its this Friday, which is just 9dpt...

Olivia199 · 23/07/2023 17:16

@TheBirdintheCave - Your clinic may do it! It isn't on my "what happens next" sheet either, but I had one last time.

ttcsolomumtobe · 23/07/2023 17:18

@TheBirdintheCave maybe ask your clinic if they will do Betas for peace of mind due to prior loses, I have seen it on other forums. I understand there is a cost and it may seem alot but you will be spending that on tests in the coming 5 weeks and sounds like its causing alot more heartache and stress for you and your partner.

@ASGIRC 9dpt does sound early even more so with a 3 day, and the fact they told you you could test on the Wednesday. If you can I would defo hold out to the Friday. Do you clinic do Betas?
