IVF/ICSI/FET - June 23

Hi!

I'm going to be starting my medications ready for a FET in June. Anybody else in the same boat or starting their cycles?

I've done one round of ICSI and had a fresh transfer in March that wasn't successful but we got 5 frozen day 5 blastocysts from it. Happy to answer any questions for anyone starting their journeys :)

@Lyrabee yay, congrats on being PUPO. Omg I was the exact same. Felt a lot more crampy this time than last. I’m doing alright thanks, definitely finding the 2ww much harder this time. My OTD is 4th September. How about you?

@KG1244 do you think you'll test early? That's not too far away! I think you can make it :) mine isn't until the 11th but I think it should be the 12th if they go with the usual 2 weeks, not arguing though!

@Lyrabee no I’m going to hold out - unless things escalate and I lose my shit! I would rather test and know that’s the result. Urgh don’t have a great feeling this time around.

@KG1244 you can hold out, what's an extra couple days gonna cost you, might as well relish the pupo 💛
Is there anything causing you not to feel positive about it?

I'm keeping everything crossed!

@Lyrabee very true! I think because it’s considered a poor embryo, that doesn’t help. Also, I think my brain is trying to protect me a bit as I think it was a bit of a shock last time so I’m trying to mentally prepare myself a bit more

Aw @KG1244 I can understand that. Take some courage from those people that have had success with lower grades, they wouldn't freeze them if there wasn't a chance 💛

@KG1244 we've got a wedding to go to on Saturday but I'm really conscious one of the ladies going had her transfer a couple weeks ago so she will know by the time I see her. Not sure why I'm nervous about it but I am 🤣
Other than that I don't have any set plans!

You've not got long to go, have you been keeping busy?

@Lyrabee urgh I feel that. I had a wedding to go to a couple of weeks ago and there were a few pregnant people there which really put me on edge. I spent Saturday feeling down in the dumps - it was a bad day! But Sunday and yesterday, I tried to stay out most of the day which was good and now I’m back at work, it’s just trying to stay off google and do my job 😂

Hi @KG1244 I’m all good thank you 🥰 follow up is 20th September so will see what they advise then 🤞🏼 think it’ll still be looking next year for our next transfer!

@Lyrabee I was feeling crampy and nauseous on Friday but that disappeared yesterday. Not got a great feeling about tomorrow 😢

@KG1244 well symptoms aren't reliable anyway in tww. Hope you can relax today and fingers crossed for tomorrow, your body may surprise you!

I got a BFP! I can’t believe it, like honestly can’t believe it. Just goes to show the symptoms and grading mean nothing. I’m trying to keep calm as I know it’s a really long road ahead but the fact that after nearly 3 years of trying, I’ve got a positive result feels…. No words 😂
