IVF/ICSI/FET - June 23

Hi!

I'm going to be starting my medications ready for a FET in June. Anybody else in the same boat or starting their cycles?

I've done one round of ICSI and had a fresh transfer in March that wasn't successful but we got 5 frozen day 5 blastocysts from it. Happy to answer any questions for anyone starting their journeys :)

@Lyrabee 4th July. They said to wait 11 days as my embryo is 5 days. I was really surprised. Is yours 14? That was what I expected

@KG1244 Yeah this heat is awful! We brought an air con unit last pay day, been debating getting one since the heatwave last year 😂 and it has proved a god send!

@Lyrabee Oh I bet it’s dragging too isn’t it! I’m dreading my TWW 😬 are you gonna try and hold out testing until OTD?
Yeah I have 4 frozen 🥰 How about you?

@KG1244 yeah mine is 14 days with a 5 day blast too. I don't know why they're all different!

@HopefulHead we bought an aircon too for our bedroom and it has been perfect! I have 4 still frozen now too :) I think I'll prob test earliest on my nest cycle due date which is next Friday I think 🤔

@HopefulHead had a chat with DH about buying one. I’m not a hot weather girl! How is it going with AF? Any sign? I think I remember you saying you were due soon

@Lyrabee so weird! I thought it would be 2 weeks so I feel a bit strange at the thought of testing effectively 3 days early. I’m a bit of anxious person so feel like I need to know that when I do the test, that’s the result and chances are, that’s it!

@KG1244 I know! I think a lot of places are 11 days? I can't remember are you NHS or private? I'm with Care and they said it's always 14 days with them!

Happy Sunday all! Hope everyone is keeping cool in the heat!

The different protocols on when to test is quite interesting @KG1244 @Lyrabee

Clinic called me yesterday to ask me to trigger at 8.45pm, so collection is tomorrow morning.

Started feeling quite nervous/anxious about how many eggs they'll get, although that doesn't help anything of course!

@pixiemum2 Lots of luck for tomorrow! Try and enjoy knowing all that hard work is coming to an end and hopefully they’ll get lots of healthy eggs for you 🥰❤️

@pixiemum2 aaah amazing! Good luck tomorrow! You'll be absolutely fine, they'll look after you! Let us know how you get on and if they offer pain relief I would take it!

anyone else had a sore vag from the pessaries? It’s been a week of using them and they are getting on my nerves 😂guessing the suggestion would be to move to the back door but my clinic were quite keen that I didn’t. Not sure why as from what I’ve seen online, there doesn’t seem to be a difference in terms of effectiveness.

@KG1244 Ive never had the pessaries so can’t relate but I’ve seen so many people on here say how much they irritated them 😬 they don’t sound nice at all 😭

Yeah sorry @KG1244 I had some irritation last time so I've been switching between front and back this time and so far been fine!

Mine is likely to be Friday - just been for a scan and they want to give a bit more time. Back Wednesday then hopefully Friday is the day!

Hi all 👋 All done, procedure was fine, wow - the sedation was deep! They collected 6 eggs, let's see how they get on 🤞 Was planning to take the day off but have to unfortunately go in for one meeting and then will head home to rest. So far I feel ok after the sedation.

@KG1244 I have been given cyclogest pessaries but was asked to take them rectally. I did ask if it shouldn't be vaginal and they said they prefer it to be through the back passage.
