Create Fertility - Experiences

1000 replies

Sunflower360 · 13/05/2023 07:41

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

Thanks!

@bloss0mx thanks. Regarding the scanning...I have to say it has been much better monitoring compared to my NHS cycle which was at a different clinic. At the NHS clinic they couldn't tell if some of the follicles were blood vessels or not, whereas I've not had that issue with Create. Plus I've found the size of follicles correlated with eggs collected...but not sure if that is the machine or scanning technique

@Sunflower360 interesting... and could it actually tell if there was an egg in the follicle and the quality like they say? It stood out to me as I definitely do not recall this information with my NHS cycle!

Sunflower360 · 18/10/2023 09:58

@bloss0mx nope they cannot tell if there is an egg inside, it'll just indicate size of follicle. The blood results for Oestradiol levels will indicate whether there is likely to be eggs but even that is not definite.

A mature egg can come from a follicle that is usually 15mm and above, but usually being the key word as it can vary

Thank you @Sunflower360 😊 x

HopefulElle · 18/10/2023 11:11

That’s great @Sunflower360!

Doxy21 · 18/10/2023 11:43

@bloss0mx its definitely not standard - my old clinic didn’t do it. I paid for it as a last minute scan and consultant call re next steps and because it was last minute (eg a day or 2 later) it was £150 instead of £400 or whatever and they’ve done it at every scan during my treatment. Still not sure what it does though 😂 tells them about blood flow etc

bloss0mx · 18/10/2023 11:50

Thanks @Doxy21 😊

Since the webinar last night, they've sent £50 off and 50% off initial consultation emails lol just an FYI for those also considering them!

Madzi31 · 18/10/2023 16:32

Lovely to hear your update @Sunflower360 that's great!

@bloss0mx I utilised the £50 off and managed to get a cheaper scan and consultation as it was last minute. I think I booked mine two days before so prices are defo lower closer to the time like @Doxy21 said.

bloss0mx · 18/10/2023 16:35

@Madzi31 noted - thanks 😊 may I ask how yours went and did you end up proceeding with them?

Sunflower360 · 18/10/2023 16:37

Just a tip ladies, you may be able to ask for some investigative tests like Thyroid and Prolactin from your GPs...saves some money too and these results can be submitted to the private clinics as with any results from NHS cycles completed

@bloss0mx my scan went well. Being very honest, internal ultrasounds really freak me out but it wasn't as bad as I thought (think I'm just a wimp haha). They really eased me into it and made me comfortable.

They told me my ovaries were polycystic in nature which was brand new information to me but also explained what it was they were looking for at each stage. We went for the sperm analysis as well and all results were ready ahead of our consultation so were discussed there.

The consultation with the Dr was really helpful. We went way over the time scheduled for it but she was happy to answer all our questions.

We decided to go ahead with Create because of how our experience had been. Super helpful and forthcoming with my constant questions lol. They seem to have a good plan for us as well as a back up and have been very transparent. Currently waiting for AF to arrive so I can start my treatment.

bloss0mx · 18/10/2023 16:58

Aw thanks @Madzi31 ! Good to hear more positives about them and you are no wimp - I dislike them too 😅 All the best with your upcoming cycle x 🤞

bloss0mx · 18/10/2023 16:59

Thanks for the tip @Sunflower360 x

Sunflower360 · 18/10/2023 17:16

That's good to hear @Madzi31 what did they suggest for you?

Madzi31 · 18/10/2023 18:19

@Sunflower360 I'm on the Mild protocol. My AMH is very high so will need to monitored closely as I'm at high risk of OHSS. They may do a freeze all but the Dr called the other day and said they're not aiming for that, but to keep it in the back of my mind should the need arise.

My husband's SA showed 1% morphology and they usually prefer it at 4% so they said ICSI is the best option for us.

gemso2020 · 19/10/2023 14:27

That's great news @Sunflower360 ! You must be happy to have one in the freezer, do you have from previous cycles as well? (sorry if I missed that earlier in the thread!)

Sunflower360 · 19/10/2023 14:34

@Madzi31 we had ICSI, as long as numbers and motility is good they can pick the best looking sperm

@gemso2020 we now have 2 x day 5 and 1 x day 3 embryos (yet to see if the day 3 is capable to turn into a day 5, they said they would thaw when it comes to it to see how it progresses as w ehave day 5s in the freezer)

Had my follow up call and they seem to be recommending natural modified as the next step, although will do blood tests on day 2 to see if it was just a random blip last month. Bit shocked by the likely success rate of nat modified to be honest so need to think about it.

Question because the doctor didn't seem to be able to offer any advice. Despite stopping stims nearly a week ago I've still felt pretty rubbish and sore in the abdomen, to the extent I've not been able to return to some activities like exercise. I'd have thought as a non responder and with the meds out of my system this shouldn't really be an issue now, so it's a bit concerning. I have some (seemingly unlinked) issues such as dodgy hip and digestive system so perhaps it's all just been a bit upset by the process?

RarePlant · 22/10/2023 12:34

@GirlAgirlBboyC what did they say the success rate for Natural modified is? Is it 10%?

Doxy21 · 22/10/2023 16:15

@RarePlant they told me 10%

Maddie23 · 24/10/2023 09:08

This thread's been a bit quiet, hope everyone is well!

Sunflower360 · 24/10/2023 11:12

@Maddie23 I'm ok, AF is around the corner so will be restarting cycle 3 soon hopefully. Consultant has advised mild this time for me, bit nervous about that as it could get cancelled if I don't produce enough follicles (plus it needs to be on the ovary they can access otherwise its a no go) but it was suggested it was worth trying after my slow start last month.

What stage are you at?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 24/10/2023 15:27

@HopefulElle @Doxy21how are you? Is it getting closer to you re-starting for your 3rd cycles too?

OP posts:
RarePlant · 24/10/2023 15:33

@Sunflower360 crossing fingers for you! If that cycle 3 is cancelled do you get another try for the 3rd cycle, how do they count it towards the 3 cycle package?
