Create Fertility - Experiences

Hi 👋

I was hoping for people's experiences and thoughts on Create Fertility? I am considering them, so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I am currently going through a short protocol with high stims with another clinic, baseline scan showed 4-5 follicles (expected that as I have low AMH/low ovarian reserves) but through my high stimulation am only showing 1, maybe 2 follicles that are growing...so cycle is not looking great.

So I wanted to consider Create as they specialise in natural modified and mild IVF, but would appreciate feedback on people's experiences as we would be going in multi cycle with my low AFC/AMH and want to ensure it's the best decision in those circumstances.

@Doxy21 it’s madness if create treat everyone with the same formula. My clinic in cyprus was very good if at the end of this you want to do something different, go for the protocol you want and in one go. It was very reasonable. Happy to share details.

Thanks @Woodcottage1 - unfortunately we are with create as we couldn’t afford to look anywhere else after 2 previously failed private cycles (we didn’t nhs as didn’t want to waste time and we were told we had a 50% chance of it working so booked 2 cycles at a top clinic before and now we can’t do the nhs route). This is it for us and we can’t afford more as our savings are wiped and our fixed 5 year mortgage is ending. If this round doesn’t work I think I will push them to reassess for round 3. I pretty much said this cycle I will do as they want but then cycle 3 I want my way.

i have my transfer on Monday, transferring my two remaining embryos in one go. Visualising my little one (been told this is important), I know how this sounds but I think perhaps we should all do it.

no need to sign up with her, but Tasha will say question everything. Try and stay positive. Cyprus 3/4 years ago was 2.5k plus drugs of about 800 and they throw everything at it. Anyway hope this cycle surprises you x

@Woodcottage1 good luck for the double transfer, exciting if it was twins! @Doxy21 definitely go for what you think is best for cycle 3, but hoping this cycle does work out ok for you, do you know when egg collection may be?

I was just reading back and I have low amh (below 5 - and which has never been tested with create) and was able to do mild. I also think I maybe had 7 follicles at my initial consultation but I don't think I've ever have that at Day 5 scans - it's usually 4 or 5. One of my ovaries tends to not do very much at all / results in just small follicles. For example I'm pretty sure the 3 large follicles were all on the right ovary where the 3 eggs were collected this round. I hope that you can get a good chat with them at your next appointment, make sure you're happy with what they say and do ask for another consultants opinion if you aren't because it's your body and your cycle x

Thanks @Woodcottage1 and @Jx3303 - both really useful! Are we meant visualise ivf working or actual babies?! I’m obsessed with magpies and I’m convinced based on magpies we will end up with a child - a girl. That’s weird isn’t it?!

@Doxy21 oh my goodness I am ALSO obsessed with magpies. I swear I see them every day! Like way more than I think is normal. And when I see just one on it's own I get so sad and think I'm cursed. My OH thinks I'm a lunatic!

I was just thinking as well - I have no idea how different create clinics work and if they have differing cut offs for protocols. They perhaps do. All NHS clinics seem to do it different all over the UK x

So basically the last slide is to describe your fear. So picture your fear what it looks like, colour etc and remove it. She was talking about visualising your baby what baby looks like etc.

Thanks @Jx3303! I feel for you. It must be been really tough having to travel & be away from home - it’s just over an hour for me and I moan about that! Hope you’ve managed to get lots of rest today and that the day 5 update goes well.

These are some notes I took from the day she discussed the run up starting your next cycle -

Survival mode shift - do not start a cycle if your run down, ill, spots, etc. (I personally get hormone spots from the drugs but I took it to mean don’t progress if your run down).

Get out of the state of fear. Love your body. Stop over givers, matching vibration of your child. Stop the Shame judgement, what you want to vibrate

Steps

Embryo - best protocol reproductive mode. This is when I said earlier that this coach would question the doctors.

Block implantation ? Anything blocking implantation.

Saline ultrasound - outside

📍Hysteroscopy video scar tissue, fluid retention

Check for infection cd138 plasma stain checking For infection

some of these notes don’t make much sense. But from memory she was suggesting tests to check if there’s scaring, etc that could block implantation. This is why I prefer ivf in places abroad as they give you drugs straight away like steroids and I’ve had to ask for them at create.

Looks like a false start for me this month, looking at a possible cancelled cycle and restarting next month, which I'm naturally disappointed about, just wanted to get through these egg collections. Bloods will likely confirm that, nurse suggested cancellation based on no follicle growth and it's day 6 now.
