Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

If anyone else is cycling in May please feel free to share the journey ✨

Hi guys! Im a little worried that my tests are getting lighter. Is this a chemical pregnancy? I didn’t take the tests at the same time as the day before xxx

So had the scan...start stims this evening. On the first scan there were 4 follicles initially visible....so it's looking low, I did expect that though with my AMH level. I'm not expecting much from this cycle as it's the first one but will see how it goes. Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated.

@Frenchwindows welcome! We will all have our fingers crossed for third time lucky for you. Sorry to hear you've had a rough ride so far ♥️

@FlapJackered last time I took Norethisterone (in Jan) I think I got AF 4 days later. Any sign now?

@TTCIVFMAMA welcome! The tests look fab for this early. Try and leave a two day gap and compare the two rather than the day in the middle. Fingers crossed they keep getting darker for you!

@TheBirdintheCave @Frenchwindows I was told to drink loads to help with OHSS too, it just helps you to wee out the excess fluid in your body rather than it building up. I was told to aim for 2-3 litres a day and 100g of protein.
@TheBirdintheCave great news about your scan today. Sorry that it's going to be a freeze all, it's very disappointing isn't it, but at least when it comes to transfer your body will be well rested and recovered from stims and collection.

@HopefulHead welcome ☺️

@Infertilitylife so pleased the transfer went well. Bet you're pleased to be home! I will have everything crossed for your 2ww!

@Sunflower360 yay for AF!! Glad the scan went well. How are you feeling about the injections? I really didn't find them too bad at all. The needles are so fine, I barely felt anything at all. The meds going in can sting slightly if you press the plunger too quickly so keep at a steady pace. Try to keep your mind in a good place, our body's always prioritise generating stress hormones over the sex hormones, so keep relaxed. Good luck!

I don't have full AF yet but I have been spotting when wiping since I went to bed last night, so I'm hoping for full flow soon.

I'd love to join on here too ❤️ starting my 5th cycle last week of may, fingers crossed. I started down regulation on Thursday. First time to do down reg with zoladex. Afc on Wednesday was 7.

hereshoping123 · 06/05/2023 19:47

@FlapJackered I had primolut in feb too. Started bleed 5 days after I stopped x

Sunflower360 · 06/05/2023 20:15

Thanks @Sj2505 just did my first injection now, all good!😊 Hopefully you are not too far off from starting AF, I was spotting for a good few days before starting so understand the frustration

TheBirdintheCave · 06/05/2023 20:59

@Sunflower360 Congrats on the first injection! :)

TheBirdintheCave · 06/05/2023 21:01

@Sj2505 I really hope it comes soon for you :) And yeah freeze all is such a bummer 🙄

Sj2505 · 06/05/2023 22:14

@hereshoping123 welcome! I really hope 5th times the charm for you 🤞🏼

@Sunflower360 ah that's good news, I'm pleased it was ok.

@TheBirdintheCave thank you. The spotting has increased throughout today so hopefully it'll be here in the morning!

@Sj2505 af arrived this afternoon! So all set to start stims on Monday! 😬 Any luck with yours yet? When are you scheduled to start stims, or are they waiting for you to start af to book you in?

@Sunflower360 well done on starting the 💉!
I need to watch a video on how to prepare them as I have totally forgotten. We are going to Center parcs on Monday so I need to make sure I take the right ones with me! 🙈

Sj2505 · 07/05/2023 06:54

@FlapJackered AF has arrived this morning with a vengeance, so there's no denying it now.
I won't start stims as I'm doing frozen cycle now. I did my IVF cycle back in Feb.
I should now have a scan Tuesday/Wednesday to make sure my lining is thin, then take oestrogen for 10 days, have another scan to make sure my lining is thick, then trigger, then I have transfer 7 days after that. I'm pencilled in for transfer week commencing 22nd May.. so not too long

@Sj2505 ah sorry of course you are. Do you have many embryos frozen?
how is your af after Norethisterone? Mine is horrendous, so heavy and painful. 😵‍💫 Normally mine doesn’t last too long so I am hoping that’s the case this time too.

Sj2505 · 07/05/2023 07:24

@FlapJackered we have 4 really good quality eggs (2x4AA and 2x4AB).
I struggle with my periods anyway, but it is very painful and heavy. It's my 2nd one after egg collection, the first was horrendous but it's whilst I was in hospital so I was already in a bad way.
What's your next steps? Do you have a baseline scan, or straight to stims?

@Sj2505 @FlapJackered @TheBirdintheCave Thanks all, injection was fine, will see how it all looks in the next scan. @Sj2505 @FlapJackered good news on the AF, hope all goes ok

Jcl22 · 07/05/2023 16:21

Hi,

Just looking for peoples opinions. Had a failed transfer in April (knew before HCG test because period came - 5th April). I am aware that particular ‘period’ was considered a withdrawal bleed and was told next period could be delayed due to drugs and body regulating itself again however my period is currently 3 days late and my husband and I did continue to try this past month. Would it be silly to take a test in the next couple of days? The clinic said if it was delayed it would be because of the 1 prostap injection I had but I had this on 6th March so over 8 weeks ago?

Sunflower360 · 08/05/2023 14:56

Hi All, I have a question...should I be having any noticeable effects from the stims? Nothing as yet, but it has only been 2 days. Not sure if that was sign if they were working or not

hereshoping123 · 08/05/2023 18:11

@Sunflower360 I never have much side effects with the stims. Maybe 2/3 days before egg collection I do be all bloated, that's it

Sunflower360 · 08/05/2023 18:23

Thanks @hereshoping123 Not sure what I expected tbh sympton wise but reassuring to know it's not just me with none 😅

FlapJackered · 08/05/2023 20:10

That's great you're not getting side effects! I am on holiday at the moment so I am hoping it doesn't effect me too badly either.

I had my baseline today and all looks good so first injection tonight!
What time are you doing your injection? I was thinking at 10 just before bed.

Sunflower360 · 08/05/2023 21:33

@FlapJackered good to hear that you can start the stims, hope it goes ok! I take mine at 8pm each evening, but I was advised any time in the evening is fine so whatever works best for you I think. It just needs to be the same time each evening

TheBirdintheCave · 08/05/2023 21:37

I've only had symptoms today (day after trigger shot) otherwise I felt totally normal.

hereshoping123 · 08/05/2023 21:40

Best of luck to you both 🤞 my clinic in Prague advised me to take injection 1 on right side, leave 20 minute break and do injection 2 on left side. Then next night injection 1 on left side etc. first clinic that ever made me do it that way!!

Sunflower360 · 09/05/2023 07:50

Thanks @TheBirdintheCave @hereshoping123 I only have one injection @hereshoping123 but will use that tip each evening and vary left and right!

Sunflower360 · 09/05/2023 07:51

@TheBirdintheCave goodluck today with egg collection!
