IVF/ICSI/FET May 2023

Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

If anyone else is cycling in May please feel free to share the journey ✨

@SErunner thanks for the msg. My otd is next Wednesday which is only 9dp5dt it sounds early from what I’ve been reading online..

Couldn’t sleep and just caved and took a test! I can’t believe it! I was so ready to see a negative. I am so so happy! Just hope it sticks now. 🤞

@MBiss89 ah no I must have been thinking of someone else, mine was on weds 31st.

Sorry you had a rubbish day @Ellenn 😢 but glad you've got some appointments lined up. I always feel better when there is a tangible plan in place. Hope things start to happen quickly for you.

@greentin it sounds a little early, I'd probably do an early detection test to be sure. My OTD is 11dp5dt and last time I got a reasonable positive on a standard test at that point with FMU.

Good evening, ladies.
I was planning on testing tomorrow but my head has been spinning all day at work. I’m 10dp5dt.
I came home and tested at 6pm and, for the first time ever, saw two lines.
I feel in absolute total shock. I really don’t have any words at all.

Good evening ladies!
today I am 9dp5dt. Still testing positive, but a bit concerned that the line is not very dark. The one on top is today 9dp and the bottom is yesterday 8dp. What do you think? I have also attached day 5 past transfer, which was basically negative (iper faint line). My OTD is Sunday!

@Marisadea they look okay to me, you'd be better off buying FRERs

My BETA came back lovely today, 370 to 838 so more than doubled in just less than 48 hours (like, 46hrs!). Trying to enjoy the reassurance until it inevitably fades away...!!

@Marisadea I think maybebabytwo is right I would get a frer. I think it will give you more confidence with it all.

Do you think I would be ok to store my pessaries in the fridge during this heat as I just opened one and they are slightly melting ☀️

I’m going to store mine in the fridge for sure.
no reason not to, it will stop the hard fat from melting.

An update from me. The good news is that I've been testing clearly positive since Tuesday. However I've also developed severe OHSS. Turns out the indigestion I was feeling wasn't just indigestion after all 😅 and now the positive tests have made the symptoms much worse. Thankfully I can stay at home for the moment and hopefully this has been the worst of it but it's super painful which just sucks 😟

I had what seemed like OHSS too after my BFP on Tuesday (6/6/23) - distended stomach, difficulty lying down, loss of appetite and nausea all day. But as of this morning it’s a lot better - nausea isn’t as bad and eating better. Stomach still slightly swillen but I don’t know what to make of it.
Happy it’s not as bad anymore? or concerned as it’s supposed to be like this for 10-12 weeks from what i’ve heard.
I really hope my hcg is not declining as OHSS gets worse with increasing hcg
