Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

If anyone else is cycling in May please feel free to share the journey ✨

Congrats @Troptolate! I wouldn't be worried about that line. It won't be an early detection test so will have a higher HCG threshold. My first test in our successful round didn't have a particularly strong line either. Will keep all fingers crossed things progress well. How are you feeling?

Quickdraw23 · 08/06/2023 06:52

congratulations @Troptolate that looks very promising! Hope you get a good beta result tomorrow.

great news @MBiss89 so many congratulations too!

so pleased to hear of your good news also @SErunner

sadly I am a bit of a downer this morning. I am 10dp5dt today, did a test at 4am as woke up needed the loo and it is absolutely negative. Not even the lightest whisper of a line. OTD is tomorrow, but I haven’t seen anything online of people having a totally blank box at 10 days and a positive at 11 days, so I think that’s me done for this round sadly 😞 I wish the embryologist hadn’t been so excited about our 4aa embryo. I was still realistic about it, but I feel like that was our best shot and it hasn’t worked.

I’m trying to keep focused on the fact that it was our first go and others have had such a rougher and longer road with ivf. I don’t feel like I have a right to be overly emotional given that’s the circumstance, but I just feel incredibly sad it’s not worked, and guilty as we’re not high earners and we’ve forgone a lot to pay for this.

I am incredibly lucky to have two “good” quality embryos in the freezer, so I am still in a fortunate position at the moment. I don’t suppose anyone has any nice examples of a successful FET following a failed fresh transfer?

good luck everyone in the TWW, awaiting betas and anyone who is still yet to have egg collection. wishing you lots of positivity x

Marisadea · 08/06/2023 08:17

This is my line at 7dp5dt (taken yesterday, not FMU). A bit faint but hoping it gets darker until my OTD (Sunday)

good luck everyone!

@Troptolate those tests are the work of the devil. Mine took bloody ages and wasn't all that dark either, it definitely got much darker as it dried from where it started though. My clinic were very much 'a line is a line' on those horrid tests so I'd be very happy with yours! Congratulations!

@Marisadea keeping my fingers crossed for you! That's a good line for 7dp I'd say.

Marisadea · 08/06/2023 08:41

Thank you :)

I know, I will never buy clearblue anymore, I don’t like the one with the cross either.

FlapJackered · 08/06/2023 09:01

@Quickdraw23 I am so so sorry. It's just the worst feeling in the world. I was in your position with my last two FeTs and it is horrible, you definitely have the right to feel sad. Hopefully you're other good embryo will be the one, 🤞 but it's ok to feel sad and take some time to come to terms with this. Sending lots of love x

Huge congratulations @Marisadea @MBiss89 and @Troptolate 🎉 such great news!!

@FrostedFlake that is great news! keeping Fingers crossed for you! 🤞

@SErunner that's amazing news!! Miracle embryo right there! 👏

Due to test tomorrow and feeling a bit down about it, I just feel like it hasn't worked and really can't stand seeing a negative test again. One of my best friends told me she is pregnant yesterday, very happy for her but it will feel even more like a punch in the stomach when it's negative. Urgh it's just so hard all of this.

MaggieMoo86 · 08/06/2023 09:34

@FlapJackered i feel exactly the same way as you. I’m due to test on Saturday morning but I’ve gone almost scared of doing it because I’m anticipating a stark white test again.
I spoke with my cousin who had two failed FETs, a miscarriage than her beautiful daughter. She said, at this point, my body has either accepted the embryo or it hasn’t. There is absolutely nothing I can do either way. I know it’s an obvious thing to say but it actually gave me a tiny bit of peace.

is anyone else still in the 2ww?

Troptolate · 08/06/2023 10:32

I’m so sorry to hear this @Quickdraw23 Truly. I can’t imagine how heartwrenching it must feel to see other’s BFP’s at this time.
I really pray you have a successful FET and I hear they’re not as expensive as fresh cycles? So hopefully will be easier to manage financially.
I really pray you’re next transfer is successful and from what i’ve read FET’s are usually more successful as ur body has recovered from all the poking and prodding from the fresh cycles. 1 clinic I read actually prefers to just do FETs?
Please don’t lose hope ❤️

@FlapJackered @MaggieMoo86 all the best for tomorrow and Saturday - some people have had no symptoms (like @MBiss89 congrats!) and still had BFP’s so 🤞🏻 for you both

@Marisadea @MaybeBabyTwo congrats to you both again and hope you both have a plain sailing and stress free pregnancy 💕

@SErunner feeling ok thanks - think I may have mild OHSS as belly so bloated aswell as very nauseas and loss of appetite. I’m a big girl and love my food so something definitely off! Clinic has just said to keep an eye on it and let them know if anything worsens x

Sj2505 · 08/06/2023 10:44

Sorry I took myself off, my positives got lighter and lighter and I started brown spotting several days ago which is getting more and more.
Today is test day and it was a BFN.

We will be doing another frozen cycle as soon as we can, but I can't move past this one just yet. I'm devastated!!

Thanks so much for the kind kind words @FlapJackered @Troptolate they really do help. I’m settling into the idea of pursuing a FET now. I was so hoping to avoid anymore poking and prodding, especially up in the stirrups, it’s so loathsome!

i don’t begrudge anyone their good news, wishing everyone all the best!

@Sj2505 so very sorry to hear this, I was hoping it wasn’t bad news for you. I hope you can do something nice over the coming days and that everything goes smoothly for your FET when you are ready x

MaybeBabyTwo · 08/06/2023 12:23

@Sj2505 I'm so sorry. Be really kind to yourself x

FrostedFlake · 08/06/2023 12:44

Thank you @SErunner and @FlapJackered! Supper excited to have gotten to this stage. I keep going between taking a step back trying not to overthink it, what will be will be to persistently Googling Xdp5dt symptoms when I know it’s way too early and it could mean anything! haha I’ve become a madwoman!

Im so so sorry to hear your devastating news @Sj2505, my heart really does go out to you! Please mind yourself and take the time to grieve x

FlapJackered · 08/06/2023 15:30

@Sj2505 I am so so sorry. It’s just so hard and horrible. Sending a big hug and strength. ❤️

Marisadea · 08/06/2023 20:16

@Sj2505 lots of love ♥️♥️

SErunner · 08/06/2023 20:20

@Quickdraw23 I'm really sorry to hear your news. I'm sure there will be lots who had success with subsequent FETs. Equally, grading really isn't everything so please don't think those in the freezer have even less of a chance. Thinking of you, take time for yourself and treat yourself to something nice this weekend.

@Marisadea Looking good! Fingers crossed!

@FlapJackered and @MaggieMoo86 sorry you're not feeling positive. Will keep fingers crossed for a better outcome than you're expecting. I do think it is true that symptoms etc have no bearing, so hopefully you might be mistaken 🤞 I can understand wanting to prepare for a negative result though.

@Sj2505 I'm so sorry about your news too 😢 take care of yourself and take all the time you need. It's such a tough rollercoaster.

I'm also convincing myself things aren't looking good despite only being 3dp5dt 🤦‍♀️ I'm having regular light cramping and have had some spotting, none of which I had last time when it was successful. So obviously telling myself that's a sign it's not worked! Also went to a yoga class yesterday and have convinced myself that brought on the cramping yesterday/today so am kicking myself. Argh this process just messes with your head so much.

MBiss89 · 08/06/2023 20:41

@Sj2505 so sorry. Thinking of you. Be kind and take the time you need 💗

@Quickdraw23 so sorry for your news. You have absolutely every right to be emotional doesn't matter what number cycle it is. Does your clinic offer a package I could not afford payg so went for a package of 3 which was much cheaper and offered 0% finance. Obviously you dont need to think of that yet, look after yourself 💖

MBiss89 · 08/06/2023 20:43

Is anyone based in the South West? X

Marisadea · 08/06/2023 20:51

@MBiss89 hello!! Do not worry, I had cramping starting from 3dp5dt and on the same day pink discharge in the morning, and I am currently at 8dp5dt and still testing positive, so I’d say is a good sign. I am based in south west London

MaybeBabyTwo · 08/06/2023 21:35

@MBiss89 I'm south west, we're using Oxford

MBiss89 · 08/06/2023 21:46

@MaybeBabyTwo Oxford have a really good reputation. I'm using BCRM Bristol x

FlapJackered · 08/06/2023 22:33

@MBiss89 i am BCRM Bristol too! I think we may have had our transfer on the same day as well!

MBiss89 · 08/06/2023 22:35

@FlapJackered my transfer was Sat 27th May, when was yours? X

Ellenn · 08/06/2023 22:51

@Sj2505 si sorry to hear your update I had a biochemical with my fresh transfer last year and it was awful 😢 you just get your hopes up so much that it might work xxx

i had a really rubbish day yesterday cause I found a school friend is pregnant and actually due on my birthday. Then for some reason I ended up watching a film later on Netflix and pregnancies kept coming up in the storyline 🙈 I feel like they need to have a warning then I wouldn’t of chosen that film 🤣 anyone else have the same issues?

i got a message today saying to complete consent forms to start transfer in July so that’s definitely made me a bit happier! Still unsure of the timelines though. Has anyone done a natural transfer before? Not sure if by ‘start’ it means the month after or not

MBiss89 · 08/06/2023 22:58

@Ellenn sorry you had a rubbish day. I found family/friends announcements really hard to deal with. I deleted all social media 2 years ago and found that its helped me not having it, I dont miss it.
Fingers crossed for July, no I have never had natural FET only medicated xx
