Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

@Marisadea i think even at 6dp5dp you might need to use an early sensitive test? I hope you get your positive 🤞

I’m trying so hard to be patient at the moment but still not had any information when we can do our frozen transfer 😭 it’s horrible the waiting game. It’s so much easier when you know a timeline isn’t it. Still also waiting for my withdrawal bleed which I think can take 14 days after egg collection? I’m now at 10 days. Any tips to make me more patient? I know it will happen eventually just feel I don’t cope well when you don’t know what is happening when! 🙈

@hereshoping123 Yeah I've been taking 3000-5000iu Vitamin D for 3-4 months - I only got Vitamin D level checked after I'd been on it for a couple of months and it was adequate.
I took melatonin for about 2 weeks leading up to the EC - I can only think of positive impact from it so really not sure what caused the drop! Would be interested to know what AMH and AFC will be in the next cycle.

@SErunner Yes these are correct. The 16.5 pmol/l is from a UK clinic and the lower result of 1.2 ng/ml is from the CZ one. I'd like to get checked in the next cycle for AMH and AFC again to understand where I stand now, since they seem to fluctuate as you say.

@Caubabatko hopefully ur amh and afc will stay similar 🤞
I just got my day 5 embryo update and out of 4 embryos, 3 arrested since yesterday and 1 grade 3ab embryo, which will be sent for pgt testing 😩
So disappointed with the big drop off in embryos since yesterday. Honestly I'm losing faith in all these supplements cos it doesn't seem to be helping with me or my husband 😢

@hereshoping123 Sorry to hear about the drop-off but happy to see you have a good looking embie - AB sounds really good!
We had 9 eggs then 7 embryos and are now left with 2 frozen, so it might be quite common and not because of anything wrong with you and your partner's materials:) Wishing you the best with the PGT-A!

Thank you @SErunner! We were absolutely over the moon when the 1 out of the two fertilised eggs made it to day 5 and was a great score embryo! We managed to get the transfer done on Monday so I have started the agonising two week wait! But with our low numbers I find this easier than getting the calls and updates from the embryologist.

Our second fertilised egg had also made it to day 5 but they wanted to see how it develops and it’s now an extended 2.3 blastocyst (not sure what the score really means other than it’s good but not great rating) and it’s now been frozen! Couldn’t be happier to have gotten to this stage with both of them!

Now I’m hoping the Monday embaby is a sticky one!!

I'm feeling fine. I've had a few cramps and a bit of spotting today but nothing to write home about. I managed to hold out to OTD to test last time and am going to try to do the same this cycle. How are you feeling? I've got good Monday transfer vibes so I'm wishing us both well!

@hereshoping123 I'm sorry to hear about your drop off. The grading isn't everything - we have a daughter from a day 5 morula which on paper has a crap chance of success. Hoping the testing comes back positive.

@Caubabatko based on that then your two results are pretty similar? I'm not sure more testing would show you much other than it fluctuates a bit (which is normal)? Your AFC will also fluctuate month to month.

@Marisadea definitely too early for a digital, I would discount that result and hold off another day or so then try with an early detection test

@SErunner I know, I didn’t think it was going to be good news for us as we only had two to start off with so I wasn’t getting my hopes up until I was at the clinic and they told me we definitely had one that we could transfer! Was dreading that I’d get the call on Monday morning to cancel the transfer. I mean from only having two on day one ti getting them to day 5&6 is more than I could have asked for and absolutely amazing! I never even thought it could happen!

Oh that’s good!! Hopefully it’s starting to burrow in and making itself cozy! ❤️
Now the waiting game begins, last time I tested at 7 days and got a positive but it ended up in an early miscarriage so I’m not sure if I’ll just hold off and try to test later on. Always easier said than done as I’m impatient 😁

So I tested today with a clearblu early response. There is a line (faint) but there is. Definitely I can see this line better than another test taken yesterday (different brand - basically negative, I had to tilt the test to see the impossible) and then I took a digital which was negative this morning. Today I am 13 days past trigger, so it could be either the trigger still detected by the early test or the beginning of something. Anyway I decided to hold off from testing until 8dp5dt ( Today I am 6dp5dt)

The line on the clearblue is very thin compared to the control line. But nevermind, I will take a break from testing!

@Marisadea I really would if you can - there is just know way of knowing what these tests mean this early. Give it a few days then try again with an early response test. Partly to save your money!

@FrostedFlake yes 🤞 it's doing some burrowing! I have to be honest, I'm feeling stupidly optimistic despite knowing the statistics. I think I am getting false reassurance from the success of our first round but my head does know a negative outcome is wholly likely. It's all such a headf**k! They are keeping our second embryo for another day - they said very unusual to do so and they aren't optimistic but think it's done enough today to let it be worth growing it day 7. Not sure I've heard of a day 7 freeze before so I've basically written it off. Although I think we might just make very slow growers as our first round we got no blastocysts on day 5 but were successful with a day 5 morula 😂

Hi all. I’m on a different thread thinking I was too late to join this one but will jump in if that’s ok seeing as there are some other new joiners too?

I’m on a FET and had my transfer yest (Monday). Started lubion today and finding it a bit painful. Will try the “warm in arm pit” trick tomorrow.

Is anyone on vagifem and cyclogest? Can I check how long you need to keep lying down afterwards?

Hi @greentin. @FrostedFlake and I both had transfers on Monday too. When are you due to test? My OTD is Fri 16th which I'm going to try and hold out to. I managed last time and on balance think it is less stressful as at least you know for definite then, but equally the desire to know may get too strong!

Hope the Lubion gets a bit easier. I'm just on Lutigest and haven't been doing any lying down after!

Hello again everyone. I lasted posted a few weeks ago when I had egg collections and I have struggled mentally this time regarding number of blastocysts.
This is our 5th cycle and every cycle we only get 1 blastocyst with 0 to freeze and its always a BFN well something crazy happened and we got our 1st BFP.
I am reading people's post about having 1 blastocyst and it really does only take 1. I have had 0 symptoms during 2ww so its hard to believe.
I hear the FRER test is good to test early.
The only thing different we done this time was take a course of steriods for NK cells. Spreading baby dust to everybody xxx

I'm in total shock - our day 7 embryo made it to a 4BB and is in the freezer! Embryologist said it doesn't make much difference what day they get to the stage in terms of potential success, just very unlikely they will do it by day 7 but we've got lucky! It had done just enough yesterday for them to think it was worth giving a bit longer. So glad they did 🙏

@MBiss89 congratulations! It really does only take one. And when I finally held my daughter, I did have a moment of thinking "any other sperm, and any other egg, on any other day, wouldn't have been YOU - and you are just who you are meant to be".

@SErunner that is amazing news! Congratulations! I had a similar conversation with our embryologist when I was stressing about letters (our clinic only do A B or C) and she said its fairly arbitrary as they choose a point to freeze but if they'd left them a bit longer they might have worked up to a higher grade etc... you're the proof! I'm so thrilled for you.

Hey there, so it’s OTD today and just did it with one that the clinic gave… not branded or anything so not sure if it’s a good one or not?
its very very faintly positive. Will attach a pic.
thing is I caved in and did a ultra early detection Clearblue 2 days ago and that was definitely positive (pic attached) - I should’ve done one today to check progression but totally forgot.

Guess we’ll find out what’s happening after i receive beta results tomorrow.
last natural pregnancy ended up in a miscarriage at 5 weeks so not getting to hopefull 😔

So i know it’s not branded but I just goggled Alere and apparently it’s a very expensive (so good?) test haha - now u know how much I know about different types of preg tests.
Tbh i found it a bit complicated and there were hardly any instructions on it. I don’t think i put enough pee in it and waited 3 mins (i read wait 10mins somewhere online). Have gone back and this is the line after approx 30mins.
also did another clearblue test. Maybe it’s slightly darker since 2 days ago?

Not* a very expensive!
