Hi, I don't think there's a thread for May, not that I could find anyway.

I've just started Norethisterone to bring on AF ready for my FET. I had my ICSI cycle in Feb but was high risk for OHSS, so after retrieving 24 eggs, this clinic decided to freeze all.
Luckily, because I ended up very unwell with OHSS for around 6 weeks and ended up in hospital for a little while!

But I've recovered and soooo ready for my embabies! We're aiming for transfer week commencing 22nd May unless AF comes earlier than planned then it might be the week before. It's likely as I'm on CD46 with all the signs of imminent AF 🤞🏼

If anyone else is cycling in May please feel free to share the journey ✨

Thanks for your replies. I think my body must be getting used to all the Egg collections cos I feel completely fine this time around. Maybe cos I'd only a few eggs retrieved. I've no tiredness bloating etc and am not sore.
Best doh to leave getting jiggy just incase 🙈🙈🤣 btw I'm normally the woman that it's the last thing on my mind too🤣🙈

@MaybeBabyTwo I think your progression lines look great 🤩 massive congratulations. I went through the exact same feelings as you did last pregnancy with my tests, so that worrying and over thinking is normal too. I would say ur tests look great, but you could always book in for private BETA to put your mind at ease ☺️

SErunner · 04/06/2023 21:47

@MaybeBabyTwo they are quite definite lines. I'd leave it a few days if you can and see what happens on that test. Testing every day whilst understandable can cause a lot of unnecessary worry. Tentative congrats 😀

FlapJackered · 04/06/2023 22:35

@MaybeBabyTwo I agree, those tests are very similar to mine last time. I stopped testing as it was freaking me out and all was well. I do think they vary so much depending on how hydrated you are etc. it's so hard not to worry though. I think I would go for the blood test just for reassurance though. Keeping fingers crossed for you!

FrostedFlake · 05/06/2023 08:41

@SErunner the best of luck today with your transfer! Thinking of you and your little embryos ❤️

Marisadea · 05/06/2023 10:18

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!

I am 5dp5dt and I feel so anxious. I took a pregnancy test today and there is a faint line… I also took a digital yesterday saying pregnant. I am scared that this could be thr trigger shot still in the system ( I took the trigger shot on the 24th May midnight). I started testing out the trigger shot from the 1st of June and never got a negative test. I will take another test tomorrow I think..what do you think?
thanks ♥️

FrostedFlake · 05/06/2023 11:16

I think it might be a little hard to know @Marisadea as you’ve never had a negative one but I would assume the trigger would be out of your system 12days after you had taken it. Could you get a beta test done? I think the best thing to do is to do another one at day 7 as I think people start seeing a line around then.

SErunner · 05/06/2023 11:17

Thank you @FrostedFlake. No call from the clinic so assuming there is at least one to transfer. Did you hear back any further from yours? Hoping things went better than you were expecting 🤞

@Marisadea if you haven't had a negative test I would be a bit cautious of the positive you've had today. Can you leave it a few days and test again so that you can be more certain of the result? It can be tricky with the trigger shot as it can take longer to go for some people than others.

Hi @FrostedFlake yes I think is the best to leave it to another day. The thing is that the line has always been very faint, so I cannot even compare the line progression, the only negative test I had was this morning from one of the cheap pregnancy test stick..

Hi, i’ve been following this thread for a while now.

A bit of background info:
PCOS. 1st IVF cycle and fresh transfer on Mon 29th May. I’m 7dp5dt today.
Symptoms after EC were horrific (bloating/pain in lower abdomen) but they just about managed to disappear the day before transfer. these returned again immediately after ET and resolved again a few days later.

Since transfer i’ve been peeing a lot and a slight tender belly - no other symptoms.

I have (obv) been testing since 5dp but getting negatives on cheap little sticks bought off ebay.

Since this morning have been very tired, feeling nauseas, crampy and sore lower back - same symptoms as when AF is about to appear.
Went to toilet earlier and when wiped there was fresh pinky mucusy blood. Now i’m thinking that’s me done with this cycle and AF is here.

Only thing is i’m not sure whether to tell the clinic (private/self funded) about this or wait till Thursday when I have a blood test booked.
Also i’ve noticed that nearly everyone on these ivd threads are taking progesterone/pessaries. The clinic has not given me anything post transfer except 8clicks of ovitrelle injection on the day of the transfer.

Don’t really know what i’m asking here except from some reassurance that maybe this bleeding isn’t AF and there is still a chance?
I have bought a clearblue early detection test which I will do at some point today and tomorrow morning again to check.

SErunner · 05/06/2023 13:49

@Troptolate welcome 👋

I wouldn't bother contacting the clinic yet - they will just tell you to wait until OTD. In our first cycle which conceived our daughter I was positive my period was arriving so I wouldn't assume it hasn't worked just yet. 7dp5dt is still very early. I had a positive test on OTD 11dp but it wasn't that strong, I don't think I would have tested positive at 7dp. If you can, try and hold off testing for a few days and you will likely get a more definite answer then.

I have always been prescribed progesterone suppositories and similar to you have always heard most people are. I would call your clinic and ask if you're worried about anything. Will keep fingers crossed for you.

SErunner · 05/06/2023 13:50

Just to add when I say positive my period was arriving, I had some spotting, cramps, back ache etc. All my usual AF signs.

Troptolate · 05/06/2023 14:42

Thanks @SErunner !
I will try and hold off from testing again but so many faint positives on here and other threads from 5dp5dt so been testing like crazy lol. My husband thinks i’m losing the plot when I start bawling after another BFN x

Caubabatko · 05/06/2023 17:27

@hereshoping123
I've been taking the additional supplements since February, so not for too long.
I don't have any reference points to benchmark our results against - except the number of eggs retrieved. In January I had 13 AFC on the scan, AMH 16.5 pmol/l but the eggs retrieved were only 9 and AMH was down to 1.2 ng/ml in May - not sure what caused it apart from aging - maybe some of the supplements are doing harm 😲

Quickdraw23 · 05/06/2023 18:40

Hi @Troptolate welcome to the thread. I am also 7DP5DT today and haven’t tested yet. I’d echo @SErunner its still super early. My OTD is Friday - when is yours? I’m trying to hold at until at least Thursday, which would be 11 days post.

this is my first cycle, but from everything I have read some spotting/pinky blood is quite normal and could be implantation bleeding so definitely wouldn’t assume you’re out at this point 😊 good luck 🤞🏼

hereshoping123 · 05/06/2023 18:54

@Caubabatko surely taking extra vitamins couldn't affect your AMH? I wouldn't imagine so. Have you added in vitamin D into your supplements? I read before that vitamin D levels are linked to AMH levels. I got my vitamin D levels checked before I started supplementing with vitamin D.

Troptolate · 05/06/2023 19:37

Hi @Quickdraw23 😊 I have actually been following your conversations here to see if i’m experiencing any similar symptoms as I know you transferred same day as me. Thanks for the reassurance and you have some willpower not to test early!
I tend to assume the worst so I don’t get disappointed - I know very pessimistic of me!

I get my bloods taken on Thursday but won’t get results until following day so clinic has given me a home pregnancy test to do on Thursday morning.
All the very best to you!

Marisadea · 05/06/2023 20:56

So I took a test this afternoon and looks like my trigger shot is out now. I got my first negative after 12 days, at 5dp5dt.

Oh cool, hi!

symptom spotting is the worst isn’t it! So tricky.

Yesterday I was incredibly grumpy, PMS style, but no physical symptoms to speak of. Today I have aching in my lower back, felt a bit nauseous and hungry and tired. But I’m aware all of these things can be attributed to the progesterone I’m using and/or my personality 😬. It’s the not knowing what it is that’s driving me mad. Being back at work today has been really helpful as I literally didn’t have time to think until I left at the end of the day.

my clinic don’t do bloods routinely with a positive test, they just book you the 6-7 week scan, but I might look into paying for them as I think I’d really prefer to know the numbers are looking good.

will be thinking of you pushing through til the end of the week!

MaggieMoo86 · 05/06/2023 22:19

Hello ladies,
jumping on to the chat a bit late, but it’s been nice to read your stories.
I had a transfer last Tuesday morning. It was a bit traumatic to be honest (I have had two previously that resulted in bfn), the speculum itself was very painful and I felt like I was tearing (!).
Three days after the transfer, I had a bit of pinky/peachy blood on wiping which I think is too early to be implantation bleeding.
The day after, I realised I still felt a bit sore down below (on the outside, not inside) and sort of pressed a bit with a tissue and there was some bright red blood. This did freak me out a bit.
I’m trying hard not to symptom spot as I know a lot is due to progesterone.
Anyway, enough about me! I’m going to test on Saturday morning.
Sending good vibes to you all in the two week wait!

SErunner · 05/06/2023 22:33

Thinking of everyone in the TWW. I've not joined you after having a transfer today. One more embryo might be good enough to freeze tomorrow 🤞

Symptoms wise I have only had one transfer before which was luckily successful but I had very little up until 9dp5dt when I got definite AF symptoms as was convinced it hadn't worked. Cramps, back ache, spotting.

@MaggieMoo86 some bleeding is totally normal and doesn't mean anything either way, try not to panic. The progesterone suppositories can also sometimes cause bleeding.

@Quickdraw23 keeping busy definitely helps me. I have purposefully got myself quite booked up for the next 10 days so I don't have much time to think!

@Marisadea I'm sorry it wasn't the positive you hoped but at least you now know the trigger has gone. 5dp is still very early.

@Caubabatko you've written two different measurements in your results - are they correct? 16.5 pmol/ml equates to roughly 2.3 ng/ml so your results if the measurements are correct aren't that different? They are just reported differently. There is always some variability month to month. Worth checking with your clinic.

SErunner · 05/06/2023 22:34

Should read I've just joined you 😂

FlapJackered · 06/06/2023 06:52

@SErunner that’s great news you had your transfer and fingers crossed your second makes in to frostie status! 🤞

I hope everyone is surviving the tww!
I am trying to tell myself repeatedly not to symptom spot! I had all the symptoms last time and it was a bfn. Hardly had any until 13dpt with my first and it was a bfp. Trying to hold out testing until Friday.

Marisadea · 06/06/2023 08:41

Good morning all! Today 6dp5dt and still negative on a digital… I am loosing hopes :/

MaybeBabyTwo · 06/06/2023 09:24

You're very early for a digital @Marisadea , they're often the last to turn positive. My 6dp5dt was really faint on a FRER. Could you get one of those to try tomorrow morning? I've also had more success with second morning wee rather than first (I'm always bursting first thing so maybe too dilute?)
